Desiree Holt has written a solid story with a good plot. Kept me reading.

Not a book me. I could not finish it, it did not capture my attention

This is a very gripping story that just grabs your attention from start to finish, just doesn't let go. Love this author and this is not what I normally read by her but will start reading more like this book from now on it's that brilliant of a story. Has likeable and relatable characters that you root for. This is a easy hot action packed read with some romance added in which makes this one of the best books I've read so far this year. Would recommend this to everyone

I received an advance copy of this book and while it took me a bit to get into the story Devon and Logans story was very gripping and I enjoyed the suspense of the story. I would recommend this author to any of those who enjoy "protector" stories.

This was a good read, but I found myself skimming parts. The whole of the story was good, but Devon and Logan didn't really capture my imagination as characters. I was drawn more to Graham and Lindsay as a couple than our leads

Nothing spectacular, but I like how the series is set-up and will be back for more!

Overall, I have to say I enjoyed this book. It was well written with believable characters. It had steam and suspense, two of my favorite book qualities. However, at times, it seemed a little bit forced. I'm glad I read it, and will definitely give this author more opportunities to enthrall me. Good book, just not fantastic, in my opinion. I received an advanced copy of this book for review and enjoyed the opportunity.

I wish I had a better time with ‘Hide and Seek’, since it sounds like a story that’s right up my alley: a woman running from a threat, her father’s mysterious disappearance and the bodyguard hero who helps the damsel in distress.

But frankly, it was a difficult book to get into, not least because of the style of writing that I had a problem getting used to as well. The writing and the characterisation did seem inconsistent and that did throw me off course, quite unexpectedly so, sometimes all within a chapter. I did as well, have an issue with believability at times, along with the plodding dialogue and the numerous characters which suddenly waltz in and out of the pages like old friends. There was also quite a bit of Devon’s near-hysterical, inner monologue veering into the over-dramatic, along with weird moments that just didn’t seem ‘characteristic’ of the way she’d first been portrayed.

Needless to say, I struggled with this book despite thinking that Devon Cole and Logan Malik did generally seem like decent protagonists. ‘Hide and Seek’ didn’t do it for me unfortunately though I might have probably liked it better with tighter editing and more ‘controlled’ writing, especially since it’s clearly a preference for authorial style that’s coming through here.

This is the first book by this author that I've read it definitely won't be the last. I was hooked from the first page till the very last one. I just couldn't put this book down till the end, the story was so gripping. This story has everything drama, action, twist and turns and plenty of hot and steamy scenes, The characters have fab chemistry and I just fell in love with them as I read. I can't wait to read more from this author and in this series in the future. Highly recommended

Exciting well written romantic suspense

Desiree Holt has written a solid story. Believable characters in Devon and Logan smart dialogue and a fast paced plot. The story had a little bit of everything. Suspense, romance and angst. It kept me engaged from beginning to end.

I did not get a chance for finish this novel. Based on the description, I was very intrigued but upon reading the story my expectations just fell kind of flat. I wish that the story had more to it. This was not one of my favorites and I hate to mark it on my DNF shelf. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read and review.
