I heart this book. Just loved Melanie and Lucy. Stole my heart. Must read.

Great story, wonderful characters. I was really impressed by the author, first time reader and have to say, look forward to reading more. Would definitely recommend this book.

Oh this story will rock your world! Luc is hot and creative and has this huge heart that has been broken and there is only one girl who can help put the pieces back together. Melanie is smart and doesn't put up with all the crap that Luc is throwing her way. Melanie is like the girl who you could be friends with, just hang out and have a great time chatting with. I love the growth of these characters through the book. It was so sweet to see Luc start to deal with his life and not run. I hope there are more books in this series because this sounds like a great Tattoo shop and the characters are so interesting and creative!!

This is a good story by this author, a second in a series although they can be read independently. Good character development and overall good story

I miss Gio and Riley!!! but anyway. Luciano comes back to Vegas because he was needed since the shop was fantastic and they were in demand, and since Gio and Riley were traveling he needed to step up. This is the the second book in the series for Thorn Tatoo and this one was sad, in the first one, we heard how Luc was traveling, but we didn't know the reason behind it. We finally find out, that it was due to grief, and not the lost of his father, poor Luc had lost the the love of his life, so he avoids Vegas to avoid memories. Then we have poor Melanie, who is his assistant and has a serious crush on him, and she wants him to face his past an move on. She put up with the stuff, that I would not have, but I wont get into it, you have to read...Hope we have Antonio's next.

2.5*
I'd read and really enjoyed the previous book 'Rose' way more than I expected, I was intrigued by Luciano and really looking forward to this book.
My problem is (and it is my problem I appreciate most people won't feel the same way) I don't like books where a dead love takes the main role. For me this wasn't really what I'd signed on for I wanted Luciano and Melanie's book what I actually got was Luciano and Casandra's tragic story with Melanie as the long suffering assistant.
I really struggle with books like this, Cassandra is mentioned 83 times which was way too many times for me especially considering when the book opens the four year anniversary of Cassandra's death is approaching.
Luciano never moved on or even tried to move on from her and so nearly half way into the book we get this scene?
Luciano scrubbed at his eyes. Cassandra. Since last night’s dinner date with Melanie, he’d forgotten all about her. The guilt hit him in waves, dragging him back beneath the surface of his depression. How could he have disrespected her memory like that? Luciano was better than that. He’d promised Cassandra his heart.
Luciano didn’t want life to go back to normal. Cassandra had been his whole world, and it felt like everything she’d used to do, and all the people who used to love her so much, should have been rendered stagnant by her loss like he was.
Now don't get me wrong I understand we love and love deeply and therefore grieve deeply as well, had this been Luciano and Casandra's tragic love story I would have adored his devotion but the fact is Casandra isn't mentioned in the blurb but Melanie is .
Cassandra would always have his heart, and if he was being honest with himself, Luciano wasn’t sure he’d ever fully heal from her loss, but he was opening himself to the idea that there was more to life than mourning her.
I'm sorry but I just didn't enjoy this book at all if I'd realised it focused so much on a deceased love I wouldn't have read it but that said I'm still looking forward to Antonio's story.
I voluntarily read a review copy kindly provided by NetGalley and Relay Publishers.

I'm a fan of Leslie North writing and once again she gives us readers a great read with Thorn. From the first page I was drawn in, I loved the main characters and the secondary ones too. They were very likeable with a strong attraction and amazing chemistry. This was a quick, entertaining and enjoyable read, a perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. Would totally recommend to everyone

Overall this was a good book, but I had a difficult time connecting with Luc and Mel. I think if there was more of a back story to what happened with Luc's fiancé, it may have helped in understanding what was making him stick to the past so much.

Luciano and Melanie are a cute couple and have great book chemistry. I wish there was more in depth about Melanie's background and more of an understanding with Luciano about it. There was a lot about Luciano's hangup but hers was more moved on.

I loved this book. Not only because of the great writing style and character development but because I found Luciano's emotional struggle such a relatable one. The fact he lost his fiancé wounded him, changed him and he's been surviving, not allowing himself a second of peace. Melanie is the go getter, no-nonsense attitude female in his life who not only handled his work life but makes it her business to save him from his self-destruction path. Honestly, such a heart sizzling story. A great dose of heart-ache and loss mixed in with finding peace and closure and allowing yourself to become a better person by loving yourself and others. Loved it! Can't wait for the next book!

Luciano returned home to help his younger brother manage their family business. He was still struggling with the tragic death of the one woman he planned to marry. His life since her death has been running all over the country with his wonderful assistant Melanie. He is stuck in an endless cycle of guilt and Melanie is ready to help him take those fist tentative steps into reclaiming his life. Along the way his best friend becomes something more but will he finally let go of his guilt. Loved the continuation of DeRose brothers.

Luciano was the missing brother mentioned in the first book, Rose. He has been traveling place to place for years trying to run away from the pain of loosing his fiancée. With him the whole time is his assistant, Melanie. Melanie has feelings for him, but is smart enough not to want to compete with a memory. She is way to kind and understanding.
Luciano has feelings for her as well but can’t let go of his memories. He doesn’t mean to hurt Melanie but does several times before he clears his head.
This book is more emotional then the previous book. It is more about overcoming the past in order to have a future then a struggle between hero and heroine.

4.5 Stars Thorn is book two in the Thorn Tattoo Studio series. The emotional rollercoaster Leslie North took me on with Luciano and Melanie was sexy, sad, happy and overall dynamic. What a wonderful read, I really enjoyed this book and will recommend it to other readers

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
Luciano was hiding behind his pain.
Since the love of his life was taken from him, he stopped living.
Melanie was Luciano's PA.
She also had a crush on Luciano, but she was afraid to take a risk.
Luciano did not look like he wanted to move forward.
He was stuck in the past.
Finally, Melanie was tired of this "Luciano"
She was willing to fight for him.
Love always win.
Loved the ending.

This book ended to soon for me. The dynamics Leslie North developed between Melanie and her boss Luciano was sizzling hot, romantic, sad, happy, and funny. The emotions throughout this book takes the reader on an emotional rollercoaster that makes the reader want to continue it through the next story in the series. Luciano doesn't realize how important Melanie is in his life, or what an important part she plays in helping him live until he starts to open his eyes and realize what he finally might lose. This is a story about new beginnings and of letting go of the past.
Thank you NetGalley and Leslie North for allowing me to read and review this book.

I would have liked to see a little more time between when Luciano figured out he cares about Melanie and still in love with his dead fiance. The whole book is devoted to how Luciano can't move on with his life because it would be like he's forgetting his lost love. I personally don't like books that do this. For me it's better if it's just background for a story.

This series has been my favorite one yet. Bad boy, moody alpha males that don't realize the greatness in the women helping them exist. Luciano has demons to fight and doesn't make it easy on Melanie who has been taking care of him for a while.
