This was an ok Christmas story that seemed a little un-realistic to me. Gideon is riding a horse through a snow storm many miles from his home and hears a baby crying. He discovers a woman has just had a baby in a tent and can't remember anything about her life. He's a Navy Seal who lost a leg and thinks he not good enough for any woman. I read the whole story but found it a little unfeasible.

This was a read that I had mixed feelings about.  The characters were interesting as was the dialogue.  There were times that I laughed because Jane Doe was funny, she had a good sense of humor.  Then there was Gideon oh my did he have a chip on his shoulder.  I knew that something bad had happened to him and there were times that I wanted to reach into the story and strangle him.  He was mean with Jane Doe and she didn't deserve that.  She had amnesia and doesn’t know who she is, what her name is, if she has family or even a husband.  It is only a matter of time before she starts remembering but in that short amount of time she starts to develop feelings for Gideon.  Gideon is fighting his feelings Jane Doe because he believes that she will not be with a person that is a full person.  I couldn't believe what he was thinking he was a full person no matter what just because his late wife couldn't be with him didn't mean that Jane Doe would be that cruel.

The Cowboy SEAL's Christmas Baby was an okay read.  Gideon and Jane "Addison" deserved to have a happily ever after.

Deeply emotional and touching story that brings all the feels into the surface. The story made me smile, sigh, and even tear up. I connected with the characters, I rejoiced with them, I mourned with them, I fell in love with them. The realistic characteristics of the hero and heroine were endearing, they had faults just like you and me, yet they had that charisma and charm to pull you into their world, and hold your interest. They had me rooting for them, angry at them, and wanting to hug them close and say it will all be alright.
The former SEAL Gideon Snow is a pickle. He frustrated me to no end at times, but mostly I just wanted to hold a mirror to him and show him what a truly good, solid, kind fellow he was, and help him to understand that what his ex-wife was and wasn't is no true reflection on him.
Jane Doe and little Chip won my heart with the bravery, guts, and strength they both showed from the very first scene. Jane's amnesia puts her in a fragile state, yet with Gideon she is safe, she is at peace, she is at home.
The three of them together were such a tight unit, so adorable, and so sweet. The problems Gideon and Jane were battling within their lives were realistic and understandably overpowering. I loved that the author didn't take any easy roads to their happily ever after, instead had them take their time to do the work, to make the effort, and find the peace within that made anything else possible.
This was a story that touched my heart deeply with the deep emotions and the gutsy twists in the plot. There are moments of despair and raw pain, frustration, and even fear, but there are also moments of joy, jubilee, devotion, and love, and the kind of pure extasy only a great tasting baked goods can deliver.

Ex-Seal Gideon was out on a trail when he hears and cry of a baby and finds a mother who has just given birth. On top of that when he is able to help the women he finds out that she has managed to loose her memory and his ride out to helping them get back to civilization has jetted leaving them stranded. The weather isn't the best in the area but they do what they can to get back. Until a family claims her or she gains her memory back he will help her every step of the way.

The way that this book was going I almost thought that this book was going to be a mystery thriller because the way that it started seemed like it would be. It's not in case you are wondering. Even if its not this booked turned out really enjoyable and I honestly had a hard time putting this book down. I managed to read this book rather quickly in just a day because of all the sweetness that was going on in this book. This book did very well as a contemporary romance and I enjoyed seeing the glimpse into her past in what she has forgotten and liked trying to piece together what she could remember. I loved seeing that connection between the two and from start to end I couldn't help but root for the characters because I wanted to see their happily ever after. Overall really great book I really enjoyed it.

This was an interesting story. Had a lot more meat than I was expecting. Gideon Snow is a man disturbed yes by the injury he suffered while serving his country anyone would be. It was a career ender. But he still had it better he thought that some of the guys he served with and he knew it. That in itself made him grateful.
But it was his wife’s lack of support that blew him out of the water. Yeah! Coming home she posed for all the pictures, said all the right things in front of the cameras, and in all the interviews and to all the welcome homers. But in those wee hours of the night when it was couples only time, she said he was not the same man. That his leg repulsed her and she couldn’t be with him. In the middle of sex, she gets up and leaves. For good.
Once their divorce was final he thought he could move on but he couldn’t. The anger was eating him up alive. His buddy since boot camp, West, told him about this fixer-upper ranch where he lived. He went for it. It’s far out in the country so the only one he would have to talk to is his animals. Oh yeah! And the crazy lady Mrs. Gentry. She likes to invade his space by feeding his animals, baking sweets, and cooking things to bring it to him. Since he doesn’t have a mom and her kids moved away he kind of figures they play that role for each other. But it still annoys him she invades his mad.
Gideon became known as a horse whisper of sorts. He did better with ill-mannered horses than people. Taking Jelly Bean out for her final test before she passed the test to be returned to the owner. She had to pass the test of being on a ride in the snow and there being a campfire. As they were riding deep in the woods they hear a baby crying. The horse is spooked and so is Gideon thinks and hoping it is a fox sending out its mating call. But after several more burst of the cries, he goes to investigate and finds a have dead woman covered in blood and still attached by the umbilical cord and the baby have wrapped and mad. His first thought is to get the baby wrapped and warm. His next thing is to check to see if the woman is alive. He realizes she has given birth all alone. She, responses to his touch and wakes to look for her baby.
It goes against everything he knows because he and people don’t mix so helping could backfire but this woman and the baby needed his help. Just ask his ex he was not good for anything or anyone. Ex-Navy SEAL or not.
Missy would tell you he is too mean and awful for a beast, man, or children. That he needs to be all alone with his anger. He liked his alone time.
When he finally gets the woman talking she has no idea who she is. She gets small glimpses about her likes and dislikes but nothing as to who or why she knows. But while he is in the tent helping her the skittish horse gets away. Meaning he will have to walk this Jane Doe and her baby out in the unbearable weather.
See how these two starts to let down their guards in order to figure out how to help one another. Although Gideon is always fast to remind her, they are not even close to being friends causing Jane to feel like she’s been slapped. Because innately she feels it in her bones that she has no family. Gideon is feeling like family to her.
They both have secrets that need to be revealed if they want to make a relationship work. I give this: 5 stars. Provided by netgalley.com. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com.
