An above average cozy with fairly interesting characters and adult relationships. Not stupidly silly nor erudite. A quick read with a satisfying end

Another good book from Caroline Fardig! I really enjoy this series, as she reminds me a little of Janet Evanovich when her Stephanie Plum books first came out.

Juliet, Pete & Ryder are back, this time, with Juliet's former fiance arriving unexpectedly, & of course, dying in front of her. She & Pete are the prime suspects & must clear their names. Twists & turns, guesses on "who did it" & a surprise reveal at the end.

A good "cozy" mystery, quick read & enjoyable.

Murder Over Mochas is another great cozy mystery in the Java Jive mystery series. It's well-written and interesting to the end. I love the characters and the side stories that revolve around their lives.
In this story Juliet comes face-to-face with the ex she hoped never to see again. After speaking a few minutes he dropped dead right in front of her. Pete and Juliet have to figure out what happened or they might be accused of his murder.
I'm looking forward to reading more books in the series.

This is the first book of Caroline Fardig's that I have read. I really enjoyed it. Obviously the main characters have a history from previous books, but it did not r.eally matter too much nor did it affect the story.

Juliet works for Java Jive, a coffeehouse owned by Pete, her best friend when her ex fiance who left her at the altar turns up asking her for help. As Scott, her ex left her for a waitress while emptying her bank account and taking stuff that belonged to Juliet, she was none too pleased to see him. But when Scott drops dead in her coffeehouse, and everyone is well aware of how she feels about him, she becomes the obvious suspect. In order to clear her name, she investigates and tries to solve the murder, helped by her good friends Pete, Ryan and Maya.
Great storyline, lots of red herrings, surprising whodunnit and a happy ever after ending - what more can you ask for? I will be looking out for more of her books.

The Java Jive mystery series continues when Juliet Langley and her friend Pete Bennett are with her ex-fiance' when he kills over at Java Jive. Earlier in the day Scott showed up at Java Jive and asked Juliet for her help. The punch in the nose wasn't exactly what he had in mind. Of course being present when Scott kicks the bucket puts Juliet and Pete at the top of the suspect list. Juliet and Pete set out to clear their names and at the same time try not to do anything too illegal that will get them in even more trouble. Caroline Fardig's Java Jive is a favorite of mine and just like the previous books there is a lot of suspense, humor and shenanigans going on.

The RedHeaded She Devil has returned!!!!
Juliet Langley finds her former ex-fiancé just
walked into the Java Jive coffeehouse.
Without a thought the RedHeaded She Devil
( Juliet's nickname when she loses her cool )
lands a blow right into his face!!!
Her ex-fiancé fleeced Juliet out of all her money
and personal belongings running off and marrying
the head waitress of the cafe they had owned
jointly.
Now he is requesting for Juliet's help in finding
his missing wife plus he tells her he uncovered
something that has put him in a dangerous
situation then he falls over DEAD.
Now Juliet is the prime suspect.
In addition to being manager of the Java Jive
coffeehouse, Juliet is a licensed private investigator
with singing and song writing abilities.
With the help of her friends, Juliet sets out to
solve the murder and clear her name.
You will enjoy her humorous escapades filled with
danger, suspense, kickbacks, illegal use of various
pharmaceutical samples, intrigue plus murder.
While trying to put together the pieces of the murder
mystery, Juliet runs into a lot of twists and turns
that complicate her efforts. Great plot and subplots.
The reader will enjoy spending time with the feisty
red head, her old and new romantic situations and
her supporting cast.
The characters are well created, well defined,
colorful and zany.
This is book # 5 in A Java Jive Mystery series. It
can be read as a stand alone.
Great entertaining, highly recommend read.
I volunteered to read the Advanced Reader Copy.
Thank you to Alibi via Net Gallery for this eBook.
My opinion is my own.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book.
Great, fun mystery! I hadn't read the other mysteries in this series, but now I am. I caught on fast to the back story and now I would love to read the others. I truly liked how the main character, Juliet, it is one of the main reasons why I will go read the others. Cute, sweet, eccentric characters that make you feel at home.

This did not live up to expectations.

The fifth book in the Java Jive Mystery Series is full of surprises! One of the first surprise is when Juliet's former fiance (the cheating scum who took all her belongings, money, and caused her to loose her business) walks into Java Jive wanting Juliet's help! From that astounding moment to the very end, Juliet and friends are on the trail of a murderer in order to get Juliet and Pete off the hook! Before long, old friends and new friends from her home town (who happen to be from another series that Ms Fardig writes) join together to get to the bottom of some of the unusual changes in the ex's life and the eventual consequences of his lifestyle and job changes. It is an exciting book with Juliet finally figuring out what she really wants out of life, and letting go of the past.

The author has not gone in to as much detail about the coffee house in this book, but she did bring Juliet back to her first love (and college training) of music. It is exciting to know Jules has overcome problems and is finally living her dream of going on tour.

I have a feeling this might be the end of the series, which would be a shame. The characters are well developed, and I would expect future books would continue to get even better. I hope I am wrong about the series ending, because this book has so many more directions it could continue. I for one would love to read more about Juliet and friends!

Fun addition to a great series.

Caroline Fardig did a great job in continuing the story of Jules, Pete and the other secondary characters that made up The Java Jive Mysteries. The story twisted and turned with new clues taking the reader on a roller coaster ride.

I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

I really enjoyed this mystery. I expected normal type situations, but the drug reps being solidly involved in the action brought a lot of new situations. The light-weight romance was appropriate and entertaining! I really liked it!

I love Caroline Fardig and everything she writes! This is my favorite! Juliet and the gang from Java Jive are back with another dead body! This one hits close to home for Juliet. Lots of twisty mystery with cameos from the Lizzie Hart series. Oh and the romance! There are tons of awwwww moments. Best one yet. Can't wait to see what happens to the red headed she devil next!

A good book overall, and I did enjoy the mystery path Juliet took. However, at times it got a little confusing of who the romance, if any, was with. Started out with her ex-fiance basically dying in her arms. Then working with her current friend/lover Pete, and then working with her ex-boyfriend Ryder. It was easy enough to follow, but made me think she was quick to jump into relationships too fast. Probably why she chooses badly. It was a quick read, and one I did enjoy, just wanted more stability in her relationships. At least the book is not full of erotic scenes. Overall, I do highly recommend this book, and look forward to reading more with these characters.

"Murder Over Mochas" is the latest installment in the Java Jive series, and is my favorite yet. Ms. Fardig has developed these characters over the five books, and has shown where they have all grown into strong, smart, and utterly likable characters.

There are several surprises along the way that readers of Ms. Fardig's work will appreciate. The end was totally satisfying, though I am left with one big question. I'll leave it unspoken so as not to ruin it for anyone, but I'm sure other readers will have the same thought. :-)

Bravo on another job well done!

I love it! This series is a fun mystery with a bit of romance. This mystery has lots of action. The nerve of sleazeball Scott to show up at the coffee house! I was completely entertained. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

Murder Over Mochas was a fast-paced, thrilling cozy mystery. Juliet Langley is back in the fifth Java Jive mystery. In this installment, Juliet is visited by an unwelcome blast from the past, her cheating, thieving ex-fiancé, Scott O'Malley. After a highly visible altercation with Scott, he comes back to speak with Juliet, and drops dead in front of her. In order to clear her best friend, Pete, and herself of potential murder charges, Juliet investigates Scott's death with the help of Pete and her friend Ryder.
Murder Over Mochas is a wild ride that kept me guessing to the end! Happily, Murder Over Mochas can be read as a stand alone mystery, but I know I will be reading the four preceding books as soon as I can.
