I really enjoyed the story of Lucy, Noah and Emma.
Noah and Emma move to town, where they both want a fresh start. We know that Noah lost his wife (Emma's Mum), you get more details as the story progresses.
Lucy lives in the town, she does so much, in that she is the dispatcher for the local police force, she and her friends run a bereavement group and she is studying at University.

Noah comes to one of the bereavement group meetings but decides it is not for him and walks out. Lucy spots this and goes after him. They get talking.
At work Lucy discovers that Noah is the new policeman in the station and she has to show him the ropes. They are attracted to each other but don't really know what to do about it, as they both are not ready to move on from their own bereavements.
This story follows their friendship and their development and healing.

I was pleasantly surprised as this is a Mills and Boon publication, there was very little sex and what was there was very well written. This story had a great plot and great characters that you got to know and care about.
I would recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book and connected with the characters from the start. The backstory was described in such a way that the characters' motivations and hesitations were believable and understandable. My only quibble was that six months was a little short for the hero to be moving forward from the loss of his wife. A good read and a good set up for the next characters to take centre stage.

This is the first book I've read by this writer - and there are loud hints in this story of another two romances to follow.
Noah moves to town with his young daughter, keen for a new start. Newly bereaved, he isn't in the market for romance, but then he meets widowed Lucy...
The title says it all - we have a cowboy and a second chance.

Naughtiness 3*

I think this may be one of the first books written by Jules I've read and I will most definitely be getting more of them. I utterly fell in love with this book.

As always I will most definitely not post spoilers however I will say this book is adorable heartwarming intense every emotion you could feel including from the full spectrum, it's very easy in how it's beautifully written to feel how the character's are feeling and connecting, I also hope that we see some of the other characters in their own books very soon.

To all who love, how love can be the best medicine to heal heart break. Then this is most definitely one to read it is truly beautiful. Thank you to Jules for writing it xx

This story is set in Stonerock Texas and focuses on Lucy Brooks and Noah Spencer. These two characters are easy to fall in love with and who haven’t always come up smelling like roses. Both are dealing with their grief after losing the other half of their marriage. One is looking for a fresh start and the other is balancing their life between work, a small ranch and their friends. However the pull between these characters means that they can’t keep either of their lives simple. It also adds for some interesting reading.
Noah Spencer is not only a cowboy but also an officer of the law, add to the fact that he is a devoted dad to his daughter means he is easy to fall in love with. Lucy Brooks works in the station and spends her life juggling the many different aspects of her life helping others. Sparks fly the moment these characters start to interact and in a small town gossip ensures.
This book keeps you hooked with wanting to know where this thing between these characters is going to go. The author also introduces you to the town of Stonerock and its residents. The same residents who are all connected in some way by friendship or a love story waiting to happen.
I found this book not only a good read but intriguing to keep me reading in any spare time trying to find out what happens between the two main characters. It is also what I class as an easy read meaning that the story flows and all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the story.
The more you read and hear about the other residents of Stonerock, the more you fall in love with them. So you can imagine the happiness when you find out that this is actually the first book in a series called ‘Return to Stonerock’. I personally can’t wait for this author to release more in this series so I can visit Stonerock again and read the stories of more residents.

This is a real heart warming story. Lucy has lost her husband and has thrown herself into work, studying for a degree in psychology, and running her small ranch. Noah (and his young daughter) has relocated to the small town Lucy lives in having lost his wife and his ranch to a tornado. He is employed as a night shift police officer and as Lucy is the radio coordinator on the same shift. There is an instant attraction between them, however, both are wary to move on too quickly given their recent losses. I will not give any more spoilers as it will ruin the story for you. This book is very well written. I really enjoyed it and can recommend it.

The Cowboys Second-Chance Family isn’t the first book I have read by Jules Bennett, but its definitely one of the best. I really enjoyed Lucy and Noah’s story. Both widowers, Noah has relocated to Stonerock, Tennessee with his young daughter six months on from losing his wife, and his ranch in Texas.

All he needed was his daughter, his new job and this new beginning.

Running the towns grief counselling group with her friends Tara and Kate, Lucy see’s something in Noah in their first meeting that she understands completely, the shadows of loss that haunt his eyes, something she didn't expect to see is the sparkle of attraction as well though.

He had an ache for her that was impossible to ignore...

Initially Noah tries to fight the attraction, guilt over moving on from his wife so quickly being the main issue, but it doesn’t take long for him to realize that grief doesn’t operate on any specific time frame, and it may not actually be him who is the one struggling to move on.

"For all your talk about wanting to heal people, did you ever stop to think you need to heal yourself first?"

The Cowboys Second-Chance Family is a great start to the Return to Stonerock series, the author dropped enough hints as to which direction the love interests for Tara and Kate are likely to come from in the future books, and I look forward to reading them.
