This book has the distinction of being one of a very few nonfiction books (apart from biographies) that I read in just a few sittings. I like to digest my non-fictions slowly but this book was so well written and so engaging that I breezed through it without any difficulty. Not to say that it only touched on light and breezy matters – this is eternity we are talking about! And all the facts are based on Scripture.
In between my reading sessions, I found myself thinking about what I learned about heaven. As the subtitle promises, I did learn a few surprising truths. For instance, did you know that you will retain your personality in heaven and God will assign you work that suits your talents?

Each mention of hell terrified me, but every mention of Heaven made me very very glad that I will be going there!

Quick and easy read, with interesting anecdotes and stories. Not dry nor academic.
Thank you, Netgalley and Baker Book House, for an excellent book. I recommend it without hesitation.
