Desiree Holt is an amazing author who was able to snag both my heart and my attention with her incredible story! I can’t wait to read more of this fantastic series! The plot is intense and the characters are utterly fascinating and captivating. This is a series not to be missed!

This was a good book. It is part of a series but can be read alone. It was fast paced and kept my interest.

I enjoyed this book and I score it 3.5 out of 5.

This is the 6th book in the series and even though I haven’t read the rest you could read it as a stand alone as you don’t feel that you have missed out on the other stories.

In this book you meet JL and Cole. JL is a female scientist who returns to her home town to create a formula that will stop farms/ranches from having spoiled grain and in turn losing money. Cole is an ex-marine who has just joined the specialist security company Phoenix.

The two are a couple at the start of there relationship with JL overcoming some fears from a previous relationship. There is also a psychic element with the female members of Phoenix having psychic abilities!

You follow Cole and JL whilst they try to untangle who is after JL and her secret formula.

I enjoyed this book, there was action, romance and a hint of thriller. It was well written by the author Desiree Holt. I enjoyed how the story evolved and got faster paced throughout and you found out whodunnit it at the end.

Overall an enjoyable quick read.

Enjoyed this fast paced thriller. I like the men and women of the Phoenix Agency. The smooth weaving of the new characters and the ones I loved from before. The premise of this book was believable and timely.

I really like this series and it's characters. It interesting and the situations are dangerous. There is plenty of action and love and friendship and loyalty.

I cannot wait to read the next.

This is the sixth in the Phoenix Agency series. Maybe I was getting a little overwhelmed by al the Phoenix hotties, but I felt this story was the least in the serie. J.L. (not really a name, right?) is a microbiologist, who is working on a new grain. And since this discovery can result in great profits for companies, there are a lot of people trying to convince her to work for them.

Meanwhile her relationship with Cole Martin is slowly evolving. While there is a lot of chemistry, J.L. is hesitant to become more involved. Her previous relationship didn't end well, mostly because of her special ability.

Cole is yet another Phoenix hottie, who sees danger in every phonecall J.L. receives from companies who want to hire her. And surprise, surprise... several companies (or bad guys working at companies) try to force J. L. to work for them. In all I thought it a bit over the top and highly unlikely that there are three different companies willing to kidnap or hurt a certain person to gain access to a discovery. Of grain. Boring grain...

So yeah, I enjoyed the story, I liked to read up on the previous Phoenix couples which star in this book. But in all, I think it was the least attractive story in the series. Still, three out of five stars from me and I will still be looking out for new stories of Desiree Holt. Because they usually rock!

J L has her work hijacked and then is kidnapped herself leaving it up to Cole to bring in the Phoenix Agency to find her so they can have a future. Page turner from the first page of this story to the last.

As usual, filled with heavy-handed exposition, bland, dull, and one-dimensional characters, with the plot moving at a snail's pace...

Cole has recently been taken on by Phoenix to head up their new base in Texas, Lone Star Phoenix.
He and his fellow small town resident, JL, recently reconnected and he'd like to move their relationship along, but she keeps pumping the breaks and he can't figure out why!

J.L may be a very smart biologist but she sucks at romance. After a a bad break up sends her hightailing it home to Texas, she enjoys her time with Cole but she is not sure how he will react to her little secret, being able to read someones aura. When her work on a drought resistant grain puts her in the crosshairs of some big business moguls, who will stop at pretty much nothing to get what they want!

Cole and the other Phoenix partners surround JL to keep her safe but how will JL react when she realises that all the Phoenix wives have a Psi ability?

Another great addition to the series. My only quibble was the flipping from present to past and back again. I like my timelines straight! other than a good read and I love trying to figure out which of the moguls was after JL!

I really enjoyed this series which has paired the men from the Phoenix Agency with the unique gifted woman they are fated to be with. I especially enjoyed the element of suspense and how each woman's unique gifts come into play to drive the story to a satisfactory conclusion though I have to admit that this is my least favorite of the six mostly because I did not warm to JL at all.
JL has denied her psychic skills all her life being a scientist. She is working on a revolutionary formula that will change the world but seems to be in denial that there are people in the world who will kill to steal her formula or destroy it completely even when evidence is placed in front of her. Its hard to believe that she can be that naïve.
Its a good thing that Cole and the folks of the Phoenix agency come to her rescue and circle the wagons even as the bad guys will stop at nothing to stop or kidnap her.

Danger, mystery, heart pounding action are all a huge part of this emotionally gripping and highly entertaining addition to this intriguingly romantic series. So in love with the Phoenix Agency.

J. L. Mitchell is a head strong, sweet, sexy microbiologist with a big brain and huge heart. She is also the one Cole let get away so many years ago. Cole Martin is a sexy, charming, strong alpha male rancher and the newest partner in the Phoenix Agency opening a new branch in Texas. He finally has JL back in his life again and is not letting go for any reason this time around. Loved seeing all the Phoenix family involved and every twist that kept me guessing.

This is the 6th book in the Phoenix Agency series and while its not my favorite it was still a good read and a great addition to the series.I have enjoyed all of these books and would recommend them.

Formula For Danger is the latest in Desiree Holt’s The Phoenix Agency series. I love that Ms. Holt has found a way to continue this series. Cole knows that J.L. is the woman for him but can he figure out what is holding her back? I loved his patience even as he struggles to convince her she needs additional security. If I had one complaint it was just how naive J.L. is. I mean ordinary me, knew what she was doing was dangerous, why did she fight so hard? I guess I wanted her to catch a clue much sooner than she did in this story, but that is just a personal preference. However, other than that, I loved Cole and J.L. together. Ms. Holt gave us a male character with honor and a female character that was equally strong. She needed to learn to trust in both herself and Cole. We got to see her journey to self-acceptance. I adored seeing the whole gang and their unwavering support. This story by Ms. Holt is full of action, emotion and heat. I can’t wait to see where she will take us next!

Loved the characters + the storytelling.

She expect to reconnect with Cole Martin.As her work progresses, so does her relationship with Cole. When she is kidnapped, he brings all the recourse of The Phoenix Agency, where he has just become a partner, into play, hoping they will be in time.The story is full of great character dynamics and chemistry and action. The book is amazing.When I started reading I couldn't put it down.

This was a good read, I'm not usually a fan of stories that open with the middle of the story and the. Go back to tell you how they got there but it works for this story. I like both the hero and heroine though J.L indecisiveness regarding their relationship was a bit irritating at times.

So in this phoenix book we're introduced to LSP, and a possible new range of characters. I liked the angle Holt went with, as this time the relationship between hero and heroine (Cole & JL) is already in play. The storyline is good, if a bit implausible at times (Coles reaction to JL's 'gift' and her having kept it from him for months was a bit tame. The only fault was with the array of possible villains, at times it was a bit difficult to follow. But a good read nevertheless.

So happy this series continues I would hate for it to end! I have been engrossed while reading every book and this one was no different. Keep them coming and I will read and love them every time I am sure!

This is a very gripping story that hooks you in from the very first page till the very last one. The author has done a brilliant job on this amazing book and a fantastic job on the storyline too. It has great Has characters that you can't help but fall in love with and want the best for. This is a hot action packed and very enjoyable read with some romance thrown in too. added Would recommend this to everyone
