Feel The Heat is a marvelously entertaining and insatiably touching story of finding the other half of your heart and fighting with everything in you to keep them until the end of time. I loved the extra ordinary mixed in with the ordinary as in real life because it felt more real and raw that way. The beauty of this journey is only intensified by the love and hope that weaved itself into every part of this spectacular plot. Nothing could have made this story better as it was stepped in the intrigue and danger of a brilliant storyline while surrounded and enhanced by stunning characters who never failed to delight and entertain every step of the way. What an astonishing masterpiece!

Grace is used to living her life in a careful well-thought out way. She has to balance the chaos with the desperately needed peace. When her latest choice of assignment brings more upheaval to her life than ever before, she finds herself in need of something that she can’t name. Troy has some rare free time on his hands, so one of his work partners asks if he would be willing to help out a friend. She needs some personal security while going through a rough time in her life. He jumps at the change to keep busy, but what he finds is something that he never dared to hope for much less seek out. His life is about to be turned upside down, and he is determined to see it happen. Can you meet your soulmate in the most unlikely of circumstances? Can you trust an almost instantly searing connection? The heart wants what it wants, so do you let it have what it wants, or do you fight it for the sake of sanity or just let it have its way as it rebuilds your entire life?

Grace finds herself mesmerized by the man who is willing to take not only her seriously but her driving passion. She doesn’t know how to respond except to give her heart a chance for once and follow its leading. Troy is just about knocked over not by the stunning beauty of this woman, but by the even more amazing heart that spurs her on to help others. He doesn’t know what to do to except to cherish and savor every second he is able to steal with her. When life hands you a gift, you treasure it for as long as it is in your possession.

Desiree Holt has stolen my heart with this extraordinary story! She has done it in such an effortless way that I am left in complete awe of her incredible talent. What a fantastic author who I honestly can’t wait to read more of! She is a genius and a sensitive soul who should be on everyone’s to read list.

A fabulous book when it comes to the execution of the plotline. The characters are well developed and contribute justly to the plot by enhancing it. The overall dramatics has been well played out till the very end, keeping the readers involved.

This is book 5 in The Phoenix Agency series. Summer has a unique gift. She can heal with a light psychic touch. Unfortunately, she has a stalker who isn’t happy with what she can do. This is where her friends come in to help her. They send Troy to help protect her. He’s former medic, former Seal and now a partner with the Phoenix Agency. They are well qualified to protect her from a stalker. Plus Troy loves the women and never wants to settle down. Until he meets Summer and he decides that he may have to change his mind. We have a lot happening with this stalker that no one can find. There are all kinds of exciting things when someone else enters the scene with the thought of making money off Summer’s gift. You never know what’s going to happen in this book. It just grabs you and takes off running. I really enjoy reading this series and can’t wait to read the next book. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley.

DNF

As usual, filled with heavy-handed exposition, bland, dull, and one-dimensional characters, with the plot moving at a snail's pace...

I really enjoyed this series which has paired the men from the Phoenix Agency with the unique gifted woman they are fated to be with. I especially enjoyed the element of suspense and how each woman's unique gifts come into play to drive the story to a satisfactory conclusion.
Summer Cahill is a psychic healer who has become the target of a determined stalker. When her house is surrounded Troy Arsenault a partner in the Phoenix Agency comes to her rescue at the request of his fellow partner and his wife Mia who are friends with Summer. It's love at first sight for Troy as he mobilizes the considerable forces of the Phoenix Agency to keep Summer safe.
Unfortunately Summer is the target of a determined mercenary and despite all of Troy and the Phoenix Agency's attempts Summer is kidnapped. Once again the psychic women of the Phoenix Agency come together and pool their talents to find Summer with the men mounting an attack to destroy the mercenary and bring Summer back safe.
Another winner for the Phoenix Agency and Ms. Holt.

Emotionally gripping, scorching hot sexy, action packed romantic journey filled with danger, mystery and heart pounding twists and turns.

Summer Cahill is a shy, sweet, sexy and a physic healer trying her best to keep her abilities hidden from the public while helping those she can. This is not her first time being outed to the media but it could be her last. The danger and her friendship with Faith brings Troy Arsenault a sexy, strong, ex-SEAL into her life. He is there to upgrade her security and find her stalker but who will protect her heart form this outrageously sexy alpha male. Their attraction is instant and off the charts hot, highly entertaining reading.

Summer Cahill can heal with her very own energy. She isn't always successful & there are some things she cannot fix but she very rarely turns down a case where she thinks she can help. Unlike other healers she does not charge for her services and only wishes to remain anonymous. But she has been named in the media and every time her name gets out, her life becomes a circus.

When her friend Mia realises she is in big trouble with a stalker, Troy is deployed to help out. He feels an instant connection to his charge and quickly the lines between business and pleasure are blurred! Troy isn't put off by her abilities and she finally feels that she has a chance at long lasting love, no matter how quickly they fell and how deep. But is Summer's stalker the only possible blight to their happiness? Will a so far silent but deadly foe interrupt their love?

Great story with very "real-feel" characters. The psychic abilities appear very well researched and I love how both Summer and Troy question if what they feel is real or just adrenaline fuelled. Lovely to catch up with the other couples and the whole sub plot with a certain nasty "collector" was superb!

Yeah, this book had me in a squeeze... This was the fourth book I've read from the Phoenix Agency Series. And every part my rating went up with a star. So, I already reached the five stars with Freeze Frame. And then came Feel the Heat and it wasn't bad, but it was no five star book either. But maybe that's just by comparison with the previous part. With Freeze Frame, the tension went through the roof and with Feel the Heat, well, it was less hot.

Summer Cahill is a lovely woman, who tries to hide her gift from the outside world. She is able to heal people with her touch. However, not everybody believes her ability and some make it their job to cause a riot near her home and call her a charlatan (or worse). So, when the stalking grows worse, her friend Mia (yep, the one from ExtraSensory) offers to have someone from the Phoenix Agency come over and install some extra safety measures.

Troy, one of the last single guys of the Phoenix Agency didn't expect to feel an instant attraction to Mia's friend. He flew out to her home as a favour to Dan and Mia to help some woman install a safety system to protect her from some stalkers. But after meeting sweet and caring Summer, Troy decides to hang around for a while, because he wants to know her better.

Together they face the stalkers, but when they believe the nightmare is over, it is actually just beginning. Summer is kidnapped and Troy has to call in his friends from the Phoenix Agency to help him find his true love, before the romance is over even before it really started.

The story is wonderful, the characters are great, but the story didn't keep my on the edge of my seat, like Freeze Frame. So this time, only four out of five stars from me. With a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

And yes, I will be starting on the arc Formula for Danger real soon, because the series is just a little addictive.

Summer has a gift. And although her parents wish she would ignore it, Summer feels the need to help others. But when her skills lead to crossing paths with a stalker, can Summer survive and have a future?
Feel the Heat is fifth in Desiree Holt’s The Phoenix Agency series. This is a re-release and is just as enjoyable after a re-read. I love this series by Ms. Holt. Summer is a strong female character that is special. Her skills have caused others to view her poorly but she perseveres. I love that in spite of her parents or the media Summer does what she must…and she does it because it is the right thing to do. And meeting Troy feels like her reward. Troy never expected to find love, especially with someone gifted. I love that his skill set and Summer’s gift mesh. I love that while the chemistry between Troy and Summer is almost instantaneous their emotions for each other grow outside of the sex. Troy respected what Summer brings to the table, even if he doesn’t understand it. I love that Ms. Holt showed the growth of Summer and Troy’s relationship, even as they wrestled with the danger that stalked Summer. I also loved seeing the support both received from their friends when danger popped up unexpectedly. This story is well written and full of twists and turns. The characters felt real and likeable. I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the series and can’t wait to see where Ms. Holt will take us next.

This is a great series. The connection between Troy and Summer is intense and instantaneous. The suspense keeps you trying to figure out what's going to happen next. Great mix of the men and women of Phoenix working together.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
Summer is a psych healer.
She is very careful of the clients that she take.
She is always fearful of attracting unwanted publicity.
When her stalker increase his threats, the Phoenix Agency is called to help.
Troy has seen the love bug bite his friends.
He is trying to stay away from the love bug.
When he meets Summer, he can't deny the attraction.
It seems that the love bug did indeed found his target.
As their relationship develop. so is the danger around them.
When danger comes calling, Troy + the whole Phoenix Agency will answer that call.
Troy will not let anything happen to Summer.
You can really "feel the heat" in this book.

This book is my first book form Desiree Holt and surely won't be the last, I'm planning on read all the books from this Phoenix Agency series.
This is the 5th book from the series, but can totally read as a standalone, it doesn't take much to catch up about the Agency, although it makes me want to read other couples stories, I'm fine with it, I don't feel like I'm missing something.
A psychic healer and an ex-SEAL story, oh yeah I got hooked from the beginning.
The combinations of actions, suspence and hot sexy insta-love story with some twists, makes me can't put it down.

As for the characters, I loveeee Troy, he's one hot hero, love how he protective he is and will do anything to keep Summer safe.
And Summer, she's one selfless woman and has kind heart, I really admire this girl, she might look so fragile, but she's a strong woman.
These two are perfect for each other, they're completed each other. Definitely one of my couples.

If you're looking for suspense romance, you need to try this one.

Summer can heal people. Troy works for the Phoenix Agency, and meets Summer when her ability is made public (not for the first time).

This book is not one of the better ones in the series-- it seems a little ill-thought at times. This is a woman who has been "outed" before and we should think she doesn't need to hide? People everywhere would hunt her down!

The ending seems to just bam- happen. I assume we have a HEA but not sure how Summer is going to be safe from people who want to use her for her ability.

The chemistry between main character Lauren and Troy hot and the love scenes were amazing.Lauren works from home on her computer for her day-to-day job.She can heal the very sick with her abilities. She never accepts money for her healing. The book is amazing. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.

4 1/2 Star Review.....

Feel That Heat is book five in the fabulous Phoenix Agency series by Desiree Holt and keeps the adrenaline flowing and the anticipation right at hand. This is another well written, intriguing story that definitely compliments the series to date.

I look forward to each and every book in the series, and haven’t been disappointed yet! Thank you Ms Holt.

I have to say that it was nice to see for the first the other psychics of the Phoenix’s Agency working together as a team, the storyline is a good one with great characters. A very sexy read although I find it to be heading into the erotica zone, the explicit sexual scenes overshadow the essence of the story but that's just my opinion. Hey don’t get me wrong I like it spicy, just not so overt. I believe Summer could have been a bit more assertive and Troy, man this guy needed to keep it together or in his pants, he was horny as hell, yeah, I felt the heat I really did, I almost got scorched. I like this series but and there is a big but, just tone it down a bit, you know, low the heat down people are getting burned out here.
