I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Another great read by Lori Foster. This story between Miles and Maci is filled with mystique, friendship and love. I've enjoyed how she brings the MMA family together in this Body Armor series. Looking forward to reading Brand's story.

I love all the Body Armor series books but this one is my favorite. Maxi and Miles had chemistry that was off the charts also, their banter between each other was great. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

4 and a half HUGE stars for the third book in this awesome series.
Lori Foster is a master at giving her readers characters that we can't help but fall in love with.
Close contact is the third book in Lori's Body Amor series. And just let me say...this book is by far one of the steamiest ones yet.
The chemistry between Miles and Maxi is full tilt off the charts.
I've been reading Lori for a long time and her books are always good, but there's something special about the way she put Miles and Maxi together. There's no doubt these two belong together.
Watching them both work for it though...amazing.
Of course Close Contact has cameo's of everyone we've met in a earlier series. And it was great getting to catch up with those characters. There's also lots of cats and other critters. A maybe bad guy a real bad guy and giggles to be had.
This book is packed with sweet and sexy and funny moments that will keep your eyes glued to the pages and your fingers flipping as fast as you can.
There's also a HUGE twist that even I didn't see coming.
Lori Foster just keeps.getting better with every book she writes.
Seriously though, if you're looking for a good book to get lost in, Close Contact is perfect.

Maxi and Miles are amazing. What was supposed to be a hook up gets more involved when Maxi inherits something that brings danger into her life requiring her to solicit help from Miles in his new role at Body Armor Security. You get a little bit of everything in this book. Suspense, steam, humor and excitement. This series just keeps getting better and better.

"Close Contact" (Body Armor Book 3) by Lori Foster is a fantastic read. I loved Miles and Maxi's story! This story has passion, romance, mystery, action, close friends, drama, animal rescue, entertaining and interesting characters, and more. A wonderful addition to the Body Armor series. Another great read by Lori Foster. I can't wait to see what happens next in "Fast Burn". Highly recommend to all fans of romance, action, and series.

Maxi Nevar has been spooked since she moved into her late grandmother's farmhouse, but has convinced herself the incidents were nothing. Until she wakes up outside, clearly having been drugged. That sends her to Body Armor, where she knows MMA fighter Miles Dartman now works. What was supposed to be a one night stand left Miles thinking about more- but he couldn't find Maxi until she walked into Body Armor and hired him. Now he has to juggle his attraction to her with his doubt about her crazy story, and then with trying to protect her from the mysterious threat that is becoming more violent by the day.

Close Contact is a great addition to Lori Foster's Body Armor series (Under Pressure, Hard Justice) of MMA fighters who have made the move into being elite body guards. Miles is the latest fighter to change careers and he meets his match with Maxi Nevar. After a brief, no-strings attached fling it was Maxi who walked away and Miles who found himself feeling rejected. As hurt as he feels about that he doesn't think twice about protecting her from whatever is going on at her house. Maxi tried keeping him at a distance because between the craziness in her life and her bad track record with men, she figured this was the wrong time, wrong place. But Miles is the whole package: smart, strong, brave, loyal, and incredibly good-looking. They have combustible chemistry and Maxi doesn't stand a chance at not falling in love with him. It was fun watching their good intentions (Miles at taking it slow, Maxi at keeping her emotions out of it) fly out the window. There was just enough history between the two of them that it felt like perfectly picking up an ongoing story, without feeling like we were missing any backstory or getting impossible insta-love. Foster does her usual excellent job of building a relationship based on respect and a developing friendship as well as chemistry.

There's also enough of a suspense story to keep the reader on edge and without it feeling like an afterthought. I enjoyed how Foster kept us guessing until the very end at who was responsible for the threats against Maxi- and why. While recurring characters from other books make some cameos, you don't have to have read the other books to thoroughly enjoy Close Contact. Long-time readers will enjoy seeing Leese, Armie, and the regular MMA crew pop up, as well as Foster continuing to set up Brand and Sahara's story (Fast Burn- coming March 2018!).

Close Contact is everything we've come to expect from a Lori Foster book: fast-paced writing; fun, layered characters; humor; and danger. Add in some sexy fighters and about a million cats and this book will keep you hooked! Warning: plan on reading in one sitting, because you won't be able to put Close Contact down once you start!

Maxi just came into an unexpected inheritance when her grandmother died. Not only did she receive her farm house but whole bunch of barn cats that her grandmother loved. When strange things start happening around the property, Maxi hires her former two-night stand Miles Dartman, former MMA fighter and current Body Armor bodyguard. As things heat up, will Miles be able to protect a former love interest? Who is trying to scare Maxi away from her grandmother’s home?

“He’d thought about this moment a lot, but plans disappeared under the force of overwhelming lust. Not just lust, because that he could handle. It was the gentler emotions that stole his breath, the fact that this was Maxi, that she was both vulnerable and demanding, sweet and scorching hot. She set him off like no other woman could, and he loved it, craved the wildness and the ultimate satisfaction.”

It was so confusing why Maxi tried to keep Miles at a distance. Then she suddenly pops back into his life. I definitely was kept guessing about who was behind all of the trouble at Maxi’s house. And I was so happy when all of Miles’ friends come by to help them out. When you get a bunch of MMA fighters together, you definitely have my attention. I loved getting another bodyguard’s story and let me tell you. I can’t wait for Brand and Sahara’s story next! She has been a mystery since day one of this series and I’m ready to find out what’s really going on with her brother and how did Brand and Sahara get so close?

This entire series is so addictive and fun to read. I always picture them as one big happy family and they never seem to mind adding another person to their close-knit group. Who wouldn’t want a group of friends that drop everything whenever you need their help?

This was a huge hot for me. Lori Foster starts off the book with a bit of intrigue and suspense. I was hooked by the end of chapter one. I already loved the characters from the previous books and it's always fun to see them again. Miles is a alpha male but Maxi is tough as nails and wants to take care of herself. I really was not sure who the bad guy was until close to the end. The author did a great job of giving us a few suspects to choose from. It's one of those books you enjoy from cover to cover and flows so easily you find yourself at the end before you know it.

Lori Foster does it again with the next spenseful romance in The Body Armor Series. Miles has had a casual thing going with Maxi in Close Contact but what happens when he wants more? Can he keep her physically safe while keeping her heart safe? Lori Foster weaves another suspenseful romance filled with passion and heart-racing moments. Believable characters that are both charming and flawed are written in the pages.

While it took me a bit to come around to Maxi because I really wanted this couple to fall hard, I enjoyed the banter between both Miles and Maxi throughout the book. They both gave as good as they got, pushed as good as they pulled and loved every minute of it. The suspense part of the story did keep me on the edge of my seat and that was interesting to watch as the story unfolded.

I also appreciated the fact that the other Body Armor men were involved and we saw the previous couples interact with both Miles and Maxi in this story, as well. I think it’s a great addition to Ms. Foster’s already stellar series and I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next.

Lori Foster is back with another amazing Body Armor book, and I have to say, that out of all the books in the Body Armor series, Close Contact is by far my favorite!

When Maxi Nevar awoke outside, with no recollection of how she got there, it was the straw that broke the camel's back, of strange and progressively worse things that had happened to her, after she took over her Grandmothers ranch, and her collection of feral cats. But there was only one person that she felt confident to go to, Miles Dartman.

Miles Dartman, aka The Legend, in his MMA days, is now working for Body Armor Inc. But the last person he expected to see again was Maxi, especially in his bosses (Sahara Silver) office. But when she spills her story, his desire, not only to protect her, but for her kicks in, and he is determined to protect her from whomever is after her.

As I said before, this book is seriously my favorite of the series. Not only do we get to know Miles and Maxi's characters, but we also revisit with Leese, Justice and Brand. But on top of that, we get to know more about Sahara, and I have to say, no matter what book I read in this series, Sahara's character stands out the most, and I think a lot of that has to do with the disappearance of her brother, and her determination to find him.

I honestly cannot say enough great things about every part of this book. There is romance, suspense, a little mean mugging, cats, and at the very end, something really gross, that made me want to bathe in hand sanitizer! And this is why I give Close Contact 5 stars!

Another great story by Lori Foster. You got a glimpse at Maxi and Miles in the previous Body Armor book. Miles is used to the attention of ladies, but Maxi is different. She never tells him anything about herself. After a flaming hot night together, she leaves him and he never hears from her again. That is until she finds herself in need of protection and she hires his agency, and Miles specifically, to provide protection. Miles is upset when he sees his new job is to to protect Maxi. He's hurt that she didn't come to him herself when she found herself in danger, but he's determined to find out more about Maxi. Will she be able to let her guard down enough to let Miles in? Will Miles be able to understand why Maxi was so standoffish and why she wouldn't let him in when he finds out all she's been through?

Lori Foster has a way of writing characters that you fall in love with and feel like you know and Maxi and Miles are no different. This is a very well written story and it has some suspense in it as well as you try to determine who exactly is causing problems for Maxi. I cannot wait for the next installment in the Body Armor series.

Close contact was a romance with a lot of danger, but there was humor and friendship as well. The hotness between Maxi and Miles was off the charts.

A whirlwind of action, scary happenings and hot romance made Close Contact a great story to curl up with, and Foster delivered the goods I so needed.

Close Contact is the third book in the Body Armor series. This is Miles's story. I have to say out of the three in the series, this one is my favorite so far. I loved the way the story opens with Maxi waking up on the ground outside her house with no memory of how she got there. It really set the tone for the rest of the story. Weird things keep happening around the farm house that Maxi inherited. Clearly someone wants her to leave. Enter Miles her new bodyguard and former three night stand.

I loved Miles and Maxi. Their chemistry was off the chart and meshed very well together. I loved that they had a little bit of a history even if it was mostly between the sheets. They were just a great couple. What I loved most about the story was the mystery. There were a lot of suspects so I was really kept guessing until the end. I was pretty surprised at the reveal. Characters from previous books make appearances allowing me to catch up with them. It's like catching up with old friends.

This book does work well as a stand alone. but really you should go back and read the first two books. They are lots of fun as well. Sahara's book is next I was really excited to see we don't have to wait much longer to read it!

Maxi Nevar wakes up in the middle of the night next to her pond. That is how this book starts. Did she just fall asleep there? Nope. The last thing she remembers is sitting down on the couch with a glass of wine and a book. So many things have been happening since she moved into her deceased grandma's house and this is the last straw. Now she is scared but she knows where to turn. Miles Dartman is a former MMA fighter who gave up the ring after too many injuries and is now a bodyguard. He gets a call from his boss to report to the office first thing in the morning...early...and is surprised at what greets him. He and Maxi have a past, a 3 night past he didn't want to end but didn't know how to find her. Now he has her right where he wants her and she is his to protect.

This story is full of romance, fun, suspense, danger, cats, hot men, sassy women, lots of banter, and definitely many twists and turns. Just when you think you have it figured out it goes in a different direction. It was engaging from the beginning to the end and even though I had not read the first two books in the series I did not feel lost in the slightest. Definitely can read this as a standalone. I highly recommend this one!

Suspenseful, sexy romance

Lori Foster once again provided the reader with a great story in this the third book in the Body Armor series.
Maxi and Miles get a second chance at love when mysterious circumstances drive her to employ Miles as a bodyguard.
The plot moved well and kept your interest as they tried to discover who had been terrorizing Maxi. The ending wrapped the mystery up well and it was satisfying to see their relationship evolve from initial list to love.
I received an Advance reader copy of this book from NetGalley.

I’m a fan of Lori Foster’s books, I usually preorder her books and I still have a few that I didn’t read yet, like Under Pressure and Hard Justice, so I started Close Contact without reading the first books in this series and honestly I regret it, not because I struggled to follow the story, I didn’t, however my curiosity about some of the characters is huge! I’ll definitely read both asap!

Miles is a MMA fighter who joins Body Armor, a bodyguard agency, he’s actually happy working there until his new client is someone he knows… intimately. Maxi enjoyed a few night stands with him, disappeared from his life and now she’s at Body Armor’s office trying to hire him. But then when she starts to explain why she needs protection, Mile’s protection, all of his instincts are roaring to protect her at any cost. And besides… Maxi has been on his mind a lot.

Maxi is a sweetheart, she never quite fit with her family, never had much luck in love and she feels like she never measured up to her mom’s expectations. She’s such a sweetheart! She’s trying so hard to honor the trust her grandmother put on her, it’s absolutely endearing.

Miles and Maxi are incredibly perfect for each other and I fell in love with both of them. Lori Foster balances suspense, romance, heat, danger, intrigue, an amazing plot and well crafted characters like no other. And the cameos… YES! If you’ve read Lori’s Ultimate series, you’re going to love to encounter again some of the guys. And Sahara, Miles’ boss, is an amazing secondary character, I can’t wait for her book.

Overall, if you love books with MMA figthers (or former MMA fighters), bodyguards, alpha males, lots of romance, suspense, intrigue and a little mystery, you’re going to love Close Contact.

3.5 Stars
This is a solid entry in Ms. Foster's Body Armor series, following former MMA fighter Miles as he reconnects with and protects Maxi.
The initial liaison between Miles and Maxi was brief and occurred when they were both at a cross roads in life. The connection between them was impactful for both, so it seemed natural that Maxi turned to Miles when she needed help.
Both characters were easy to like and root for, even if the romantic blinders they had on were frustrating at times. Ms. Foster did an excellent job of blending the romantic story with the suspense element of what was happening around Maxi's home. Both story lines were entertaining to follow and the suspense piece definitely kept me on my toes.
Close Contact is a part of a series and the series is a spin off, so there are several cameos from characters that we've met before. It's nice to catch up with the guys from the previous books and get glimpses of where they are now. That said, this is also very much a stand alone effort and could easily be enjoyed without having read the previous books. I am looking forward to see what happens to Sahara in the next installment of the series.

Close Contact, the third book of Lori Foster's Body Armor series, brings us Miles and Maxi.

I have yet to be disappointed by one of Lori Foster's books, and of course, I was drawn into Miles and Maxi's story.

Maxi and Miles were acquainted prior to this book, and due to poor communication and some misunderstanding during their previous encounters, each of them was unsure of their stance with the other person.

They continue to struggle with communication in their current situation, but they work at it together and reach their happily ever after.

I especially appreciated the suspense aspect of this book. It was well done, and the mystery of who the suspect was kept me guessing...and then guessing again.

As always, I love the camaraderie and friendship between the characters in Lori Foster's worlds, and I can't wait for the series to continue.

This book was amazing! Lori Foster wrote a great story that kept you guessing who was causing all the chaos for Maxi, and she has to resort to hiring a body guard, none other than the guy she fell for but ran.
Miles can't believe Maxi is here in front of him, she left him after 3 dates and disappeared, and now here she is in need of his help.
Follow their story, be prepared to sit on the edge of your seat and also swoon and fall in love! 5 stars for this one!! Grab it as soon as it's available!!
