This is the third book in this series and I have loved all of them. There is a lot of sexual tension, mystery, and romance. I really liked the characters in all three books

If you are looking for a heart pounding, sexy, hot read look no further! Close Contact (Body Armor) is the book for you. Maxi inherits her Grandmothers farm. Miles an Maxi have a casual, no strings relationship, and then she leaves him. When her life is threatened, she knows that he is the only one she trusts to protect her. She hires him from Body Armor Agency to be her bodyguard They get even closer during this time.  Before everything is over, Maxi has fallen in love with him. The chemistry between these two characters is very Hot. If you have not read her MMA series or the Body Armor series, you need too. I have not been disappointed yet. I recommend this book to everyone. I give CLOSE CONTACT 5/5 STARS.

I just love this series and the men. They are so strong, tough and tender all at the same time. The women a strong and independent. Miles is no different. Miles has to quit fighting and so becomes a bodyguard. He had a thing with Maxi, but she walked away from him. He thought they were done. He wanted more, but obviously she didn't. One day she shows up at his work with a big problem. Someone is trying to drive her out of her home. She hires Miles, but he would protect her anyway. As he is dealing with the threat and trying to figure out who is behind it, he is trying to convince Maxi that they are really good together.

Close Contact (Body Armor, #3) by Lori Foster.... Just where do I start...Lori has done it again...this is a great series and I recommend it to everyone...it can be read as a standalone but is much better if you read the series. I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. Miles and Maxi are perfect for each other..Miles is such a strong alpha male..he is in control but is not controlling ..... and he caring ..he listens and he is even loving to the cats..especially Hero. Maxi is strong and loving and feels she has never quite measured up..and is determined to take care of her Grandmother's home and all her cats. She has had a couple of bad relationships and is afraid to trust her heart...add in that someone is trying to make her leave her new home and the cats..then Miles and Body Armor...(loved getting to see some of the other guys and girls) ... add in some laughs, feels, and danger and you get to their HEA. Can't wait for #4 FAST BURN...Sahara and Brand's story.

I just love this series!! Miles was awesome and so was Maxi, they were just perfect for one another. I loved this story, from all the emotions, suspense and mystery just made it that much better. I also loved seeing past characters come in to the story. I can't wait for the next book.

Foster writes a beautifully nuanced Alpha male with a fiesty enough heroine to keep it fun. This book has just the right amount of mystery, emotion, and heat. Really enjoyed it.

Body Armor is not your usual “bodyguard” agency. This company of personal protection agents is made up of former Mixed Martial Arts fighters who are overseen by one very stunning, very interesting female boss. These bodyguards are smart, strong Adonises with chiseled abs and nerves of steel. And I for one am OK with that!

No one can write better steamy novels about alpha fighters than Lori Foster. Be it law enforcement officers, MMA fighters or ex-MMA fighters, this author knows how to draw you in with smooth writing, nail-biting suspense and did I mention some very steamy romance! The alpha heroes of her books may seem like “rough and tumble” men, but Ms. Foster can always convey the sensitive side of these warriors.

Miles Dartman is no exception to this. The MMA fighter had to change course in his life and segued into the bodyguard role with the Body Armor. Adjusting to his new reality, Miles finds himself having a one-night stand that turned into 3 different nights with the unforgettable Maxi Nevar, but then she blew him off. But there is a reason Maxi opted for no more nights between the sheets with Miles, a reason that he learns about when Maxi shows up at Body Armor with a tale of mysterious happenings at her ranch. Maxi inherited the ranch after her grandmother’s death and vowed to make it her home, but she cannot shake the feeling that someone unknown is coming into the house. Waking up outside, drugged, in middle of the night has Maxi fleeing right to Miles and the adventure begins!

This book is a great addition to the series! Miles and Maxi are both likeable characters with an abundance of chemistry between them. I liked that tables were turned a bit here - Maxi was the one to cut the strings on the no-strings-attached fling and she was an independent woman well aware, and realistic, about her sexuality. Miles may have been all muscles and toughness, but I loved the sweet spot he had for Maxi that he just knew was something more. The suspense was there, and even though I suspected the who of “who-dunnit” with about 25 percent of the book left, I was still riveted to pages to see if it would play out like I thought. The visits by other characters from the series added to the entertainment value, and Sahara Silver? Now there’s a story to be told regarding her and all signs point to one coming! Another 5-star read from this author!

I really enjoyed Close Contact. It was fun catching up with the fighters from the Ultimate Series, especially Armie. He is one of my favorites! I love the Body Armor series & I'm eagerly awaiting Sahara and Brand's story!

This is the third story in the Body Armor series and it is an enjoyable read. Miles is a former MMA fighter who has changed careers to become a bodyguard for the Body Armor Agency run by Sahara Silver. She is a beautiful, strong woman who knows how to get what she wants. Miles is called into the office under interesting circumstances only to find that his past has come back to haunt him. Maxi is a woman who has her fair share of issues. She has lost everyone close to her and to make matters worse, her fiancé was a cheater. The last thing she wants to do is go to Miles for help but she has no choice as she wakes up bruised outside of her home with no recollection as to how she got there. Miles and Maxi share a past but she up and left without a trace and all he wanted was more. They each are strongly attracted to one another but neither one takes the initiative to express their true feelings. Miles still harbors resentment towards Maxi although he wants to keep her safe. He enlists the help of his friends to secure Maxi’s house and property. Will Miles get to the bottom of why this is happening to Maxi? Ms. Foster has crafted a story to keep the reader involved until the very end. You will be surprised by the outcome and you don’t want to miss this.

I really like this super hot series! Miles is a super sexy former MMA fighter working for Body Armor and is assigned to protect Maxi when she comes to them looking for help. They are not strangers, no, in fact they had a fling and she disappeared without a word. Now Miles looks at this as a chance to find out why.
The story line is just awesome, as Ms. Foster's always are, with just the right amount of suspense, heat, romance, danger and everything else you expect from her writing. I love the relationship between Miles and Maxi, because it is that, a relationship. Sure their steam level is dialed all the way up but they are so much more than that. And as always, the supporting cast is excellent which is one of the things you can count on in this series for sure.
Close Contact is a great addition to this series.

He’s told to protect Maxi Nevar, who turns out to be the one woman he can’t forget. They had three nights of memorable sex and then she just walked out without a word.

Now she’s back and she needs a bodyguard to protect her from the weird sort of stalking threats she’s been experiencing at the farm she inherited from her grandmother. At first Miles can’t believe that he has to protect the woman who just walked out on him without any explanation. But as he learns more about Maxi and her life, he goes beyond full protection mode to resuming their sexual relationship.

If you enjoy Foster’s novels about alpha guys protecting spunky women that they are falling for, and I do, then this book will be just what you’re looking for.

This is the story about Miles and Maxi. Miles as been around in many previous books not just the Bodyguard series but the MMA series before. Maxi is a woman who has had difficult times in her life. She has sworn off men but she is in a very scary situation. Turn of events leave her in need of a man to keep her safe and she turns seeks the Body Armor Agency for help. She is given the one man she yearns for and left without a trace after a few wonderful nights before she started her life over. Miles is beyond shocked to see her as his next client but he also wants answers. This has a great storyline and sizzling moments when Miles and Maxi can’t deny their chemistry. You also get appearances from the other men we all know and love. You don’t need to read the other books to follow along but you will be missing out by not reading them. These books are my favorite. Miles and Maxi just work together. Maxi has a history of making bad decisions when it comes to men, but she wasn’t planning on making Miles a permanent part of her life. Next thing you know Maxi inherits her grandmother’s house and things start going wrong, so she turns to the agency Miles works for to get help. Trying to figure out who’s out the hurt Maxi and see who is willing to admit their feelings first is a wild ride.

Suspense, danger and these two alone on a farm in the middle of nowhere fueled this heated, heartfelt romance that fans are sure to love. While there is heat, Foster also allowed the relationship to develop through conversation, interests, and trust. Their relationship, actions, and words felt genuine and had me rooting for a happily ever after.

I don’t know about you but my brain hates when I read books, I know are in a series, out of order. The great thing about Lori Foster books is you can do that with most of the connected books, and not be totally lost in the process. Now my brain still hates it thoroughly but it isn’t as bad. Close Contact is the 3rd book in the Body Armor series. I have both Under Pressure (Leese’s story) and Hard Justice (Justice’s story) on my waiting to be read shelf but so far others have crept in before them. Close Contact is Miles’ story. We met Miles in the Ultimate series (another favorite series of mine). And Maxi is Miles love interest in Close Contact. This story flows really well from start to finish. I have no idea if we met or knew about Maxi before this book (hence the brain pain from not knowing haha), but I felt we got to know her pretty well during this book. Miles and Maxi had a back story of a brief hookup that left each one with lingering wanting for the other. Fast forward to an attack on Maxi that lead her to search out the one person she knew she could trust, and the one person she knew would protect her. Throw in some conflict, a who done it, and you have another great Lori Foster novel. I must toot my own horn and say I figured out pretty early who was going to be behind the who done it part of the story but there were still lots of twists and turns getting to the payoff. On the fun side of the story, Close Contact has some cameo appearances by Leese, Justice, Catalina, Fallon and even briefly Armie, Cannon, Denver and Stack. Love those little nuggets of nostalgia for those of us that love all literary world to be connected and revisited. There is also a great set up during this story for the next novel, Fast Burn, featuring Brand and Sahara. Sadly, not being able to compare it to the first two Body Armor books leaves me a little dissatisfied but knowing Lori Foster novels like I do, I doubt there is much of a difference in this story appeal with the other two. Reading Close Contact has made me doubly excited to get started reading Under Pressure and Hard Justice. I received Close Contact as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I didn’t want to spoil the story too much but wanted to give a good sense of the appeal of this story to you. I hope I’ve made you excited to purchase Close Contact soon.

So good you won't want it to end! Full of mystery, suspense and romance. Miles and Maxi are perfect together. Miles knows this but convincing Maxi of it takes a little time because of her stubbornness. Add in that someone is terrorizing Maxi for some unknown reason. This had me really intrigued and kept me wondering. Also love the cameos of characters from past books that we all love and miss. This was such fun to read and I really loved Miles and Maxi. The body armor series is great and I can't wait for more!

Miles & Maxi's fling turns into more when Maxi starts noticing strange things happening on her newly inherited farm and requests a Miles' help as a bodyguard from the Body Armor agency. I loved this story. The chemistry was off the charts, yes, but it definitely held my interest with the bit of intrigue happening. Was is the young kids messing around? Was it the old timer next door? Was it the local cop with a sketchy past? EEK! You'll have to read it to find out! But Miles was typically alpha and wonderfully sweet as all Ms. Foster's MMA guys are. Don't hesitate to pick this one up. Sahara is next and I cannot wait!!!!

Great plot, hot Alpha ex-MMA fighters turned bodyguards, sexy girlfriends, steamy sex & tension filled moments of danger - - This one has it all! Lori Foster has found the perfect balance between romance & mystery in her Body Armor series. From the moment this book opened, the reader is swept into Maxi's life & emotions. As the plot unravels, there is a perfect sense of tension growing in two ways - between Maxi & Miles regarding their relationship & the anticipation of the ending. The supporting characters are well developed & add additional depth to the story. I love Sahara! She's so poised & elegant but sarcastic & witty at the same time. She has a tough she'll but has a soft & tender side too. Ms. Foster crafts her characters in such a way as to give the readers several suspects. She misdirects your suspicion until you really have a hard time figuring it out. I never would have guessed this ending!

I’ve been a Lori Foster fan for years. She writes really well, creates suspenseful stories with well-defined characters and fun, sexy romance. I really like Miles. He’s the kind of guy I could totally fall for. Maxi was sweet, a girl you could easily hang out with. I also love that Miles is the one who’s most unhappy with the way their budding romance ended. He knows who he wants and her ditching him hasn’t changed that. He’s more than happy to move in and by her personal bodyguard. He’d do it for free because he cares but she’s too proud to let him. It’s fun watching him patiently do what he can to break down her walls and wait patiently for the ones he can’t get through to come down on their own. What a great guy. I love too that he wants to do all kinds of work to help improve the farm. I enjoyed seeing the others from Body Armor make appearances.

The story was definitely suspenseful and kept me guessing until the very end on who was causing all the havoc.

I really enjoyed Under Pressure but somehow missed Hard Justice. I need to go back and read it and I’ve already put Fast Burn on my “want to read” list.
