While I am a huge fan of the previous books in the series and the dark hunter series, this book was a bit confusing with all the time travel and was definitely too short. It left far more questions than answers that I hope will be answered in the new series.

I have loved all of the nick series so far and was really bummed this one got pushed back. I was hoping that with the push it would be longer but I think this is the shortest one so far with only 138 pages. It was also the most confusing at some points starting a battle with the characters being attacked and then all of a sudden it's 2 weeks later with nothing in between. I was very disappointed with the length of the book and now the series is being drawn out for 4 more books about a character we are not even sure should exist. Then maybe we get adult nicks books.

You definitely need to read the previous books in this series to really hope to follow the storyline and characters. I find the similar names and changing history of the characters extremely difficult to keep straight which greatly affects my enjoyment of the story.

I truly loved this. I think it was a great ending to the high school Nick saga, and I like where this is heading. We always knew Nick was going to end up as an adult in the Dark-Hunter universe, but I was never quite sure how that was going to tie back into the regular adult series given that the Chronicles of Nick is a fairly clean YA series. Sherri has always kept the adult stuff in her adult books, an has kept Nick to be a good kid with a fairly good head on his shoulders, atleast in the hormone department. I'll be honest I was frustrated with the last book for not moving the plot along much and really confusing me, however I think this one did a nice job moving the story line along and ending it in a decent place. We got some good explanations on what is actually happening with Nick's timeline in this book, and where it is headed. There are still some vague plot points, but they appear to be vague with a purpose. I'm starting to see how the Nick/Cyprian/Ambrose timeline stuff might actually tie back to the underlying plot of the Dark Hunter story line one day.

This story follows Nick and the gang through another zany adventure in the time continuum. Nick is still trying to fix the timeline that Ambrose broke, or did he? We find out that Cyprian, Nick's future son is manipulating Nick's timeline. We still don't know how Cyprian came to be, it is inferred that Nick learned how Cyprian was created and I think we will learn more about that in a future installment. We learned a bit more about Nick's family tree, and it cemented that Kody and Cherise are his two anchors from going full Malachi and destroying the world. Cyprian on the other hand is determined to destroy Nick, but like Nick, there may be hope for him yet. If you know anything about the Dark Hunter world, love always wins. I'm excited to see what the future holds for our lovable gang of demons.

This series has a ton of characters and places and words that are specific to the Dark Hunter and Chronicles of Nick universe. You almost need a Cliff Notes guide to keep you from getting confused, especially since the books come out so far apart. I feel like now that this part of the series is over, I need to go back and reread all 8 books and take notes so I'm prepared for the next stage of Nick's story. I'll be purchasing a hardback to complete my collection.

Another superbly written story by the Ms. Kenyon. Always love her stories. Enjoyed this continuing story of Nick.

This book lived up to it's name that's for sure... because it was extremely INTENSE. I am still trying to wrap my head around everything that happened. To say I'm confused is an understatement and I've been confused with every Dark Hunter, Dream Hunter and CON that's come out to date. Every time I think I've got a handle on things another book comes out and shatters my dreams like expensive glass around a two year old. That being said I can't get enough. Until I get all the answers to lingering, burning questions I can't seem to stop myself from getting on this crazy ride Ms. Kenyon is taking us on for the last several years. I'm impatiently waiting for the next shoe to drop. There was a lot to process this books and even lines that don't seem important will end up coming back to bite you in another book. I'm not sure what's real or fake anymore but I can't wait for the grown up versions that are planned next. Not sure whose book I'm more excited for next but I know Jaden and Jared are at the top of the list... well done!

This book was just so freaking fantastic! It's the last book in the Chronicles of Nick series, but then there's 4 books with Cyprien, and then 3 books in the Dark Hunter series with Nick as an adult. So we're not done with Nick, not at all!

I don't know what I was expecting, but wow, was it awesome! There were a few big confusing moments, like, what the heck was going on? Nick experienced getting run over-and then he was fine. It was confusing for us and Nick!

A big part of this book for me, was Cyprien. He's Nick's son-we don't know how, but Nick learns in this book-and we find out who his mom is in this book. Which explains Cyprien's motives, because man, his mom is awful!

Another big part of this book, was examining past relationships as they pertain to the now. Like, Braith and Kissare, who had the child who was the first Malacai, whose story we had in a previous book, but also means, that distantly, Nick is related to Acheron, since Braith is the name that Apollymi previously used. Braith and Kissare were just mentioned in Dragonsworn, I believe, and that Kissare's reincarnation could be Acheron's dad. Yeah. Heavy! Then there was Jaden, Xev, the lady whose name I can't remember, and Jared. Well, Jaden is Xev and Caleb's dad, and we got the story of why they think that Jared is their brother, too, in this book. Oh, the feels!

This was such a fantastic book, and that ending brought everything together, at least, the timeline makes sense, finally, it only took the end of this book! So great! I need more!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a huge fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon, I loved her books from the get go but that love grew when she took such an anti bully stance and placed it in her books. Kenyon reaches out to her fans and has been one of the nicest authors I have ever come across. Something that makes buying her books and merchandise so much easier. I would much rather support an author who is nice then one who has a rotten attitude. This book is a price example, her publishing company  kept pushing back the release date despite it being finished, Kenyon argues and fights about it because she promised the fans that it would be out in September. She even decided to self publish this one on her etsy page until it would be sorted because of that promise. How awesome is that!

Any way, about the book, I love this YA spin off. I like that it gives you so many hidden back stories and information about characters I loved in the Dark Hunter Series. I have seen a lot of people on the fan page shun the YA Series because it was YA and I just laugh at them and tell them that they don't know what they are missing. Kenyon has included some series information regarding the adults back stories in these books.

In this book, Nick is having to battle someone who looks just like him. And wait for it DUN DUN DUUUH It is his son. A Son no one knew he even had until just recently. A son who came from the future to steal everything Nick has and is even the one who kills him in the future.

In this book you get a lot of back story regarding the Malachai and his friends. You also get glimpses into the future if Nick gives in to the beast inside of him.

I read this book in one day, something that is normal for her books since I tend to binge read them. In the coming weeks I am fully intending to re-read the series and take my time and digest the information and fight scene's she packs into this.

This book also has a huuuuuge ending that left me wanting more. It was one of those sit up in bed while exclaiming "WHY" Endings.

Amazing like so many of Sherrilyn's books. I love Nick's ability to always try and push himself no matter the odds. Can't wait to see what happens next. This series is awesome.

Ok, this is definitely not a series you can just jump into. I took that risk because sometimes these books can stand on their own. Plus, this authors books keep showing up in my friends Goodreads feeds. With me being a paranormal junkie, I've been wanting to check her books out for awhile now. I would not suggest starting with this book, however I got enough taste of this authors writing to know I want more. This is exactly what I look for in a good paranormal series and I will be go back and start this series with book one. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Another excellent installment in the exciting Chronicles Of Nick! I can't wait for his official Dark Hunter novel!

I usually really enjoy Sherrilyn Kenyon's books however this one I just didn't. There was some of the snarky humour that Nick is great for (I am about as useful as the g in lasagna), and that I adore about this series however the rest of the book fell flat for me. There was quite a bit of inspirational and character development exposition for teens, which is great but there was quite a bit, which for adults is not so great. However as this is a teen book I guess it makes sense. Especially since Ms. Kenyon has been through a lot in her life and she uses her writing as a means of catharsis and to be uplifting for her audience. I did find the book a bit confusing with all the talk about familial relationships and there were a ton of characters in a 125 page book. I think I would have liked the book much better without all the characters that seemed to be thrown in for no reason that I could see. Possibly for something that will happen in a future book we will need this background but to have it all dumped on you at one time was a bit much for me. Also SPOILER they killed off a main character, who I am sure will be brought back in a future book and I am sure that the reason for this seemingly senseless death will be brought forth later too. There was some character development for the Nick character, which I like however for the most part I could have done without reading this book.

"Invictus is what Ambrose had tattooed on his arm which means unconquerable and never subdued!" Eon fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter series. Nick who was a character from these books was always a lovable kid with manners and a sense of humor. This installment of the Nick books just did not endear me to him or to the supporting cast. Too much demon drama and not enough emotional investment. "A copy of this book was provided to me by Nemesis Publications via Netgalley for no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and my comments here are my honest opinion."
