I am a big fan of Natalie Sisson's writing and liked this book enough to feature it on my Forbes column:

This is one of those books that you hear about as an online coach. It's definitely one that kept popping up into conversations with me because the dream of working from wherever is something I've dreamed of for so long. Natalie has done that! She's packed her suitcase and lived that freedom business lifestyle.
In the suitcase entrepreneur, natalie goes all out on telling you how she did it and more importantly how you can too. I had not even read chapter 2 and I had already got do much fire in my belly to "do this" that I'm sure the highlighting app on my kindle was getting worn out.
I am astounded by the sheer information in this book but I am so damn glad Natalie did go all out and share so much in this book. It's my favourite business read of 2017.
Natalie has also included a ton of free online resources for the reader too which is simply priceless. I am so so grateful that the publishers decided to pick this up and publish on a wider capacity.

If you’ve ever wondered how you can become a digital nomad, here’s the book for you: The Suitcase Entrepreneur by Natalie Sisson.

A life of freedom and adventure. Of being able to travel around the world and do meaningful work. Wouldn't it be great to have that kind of life?

With this book, Natalie shows us how to live that kind of life.

Natalie takes us along on her journeys, from New Zealand to London and Canada, and on to many other places. All the while building a profitable online business revolving around her lifestyle brand that promotes freedom and adventure.

She shares her personal experiences transitioning from working in the corporate world to living the digital nomad life, living and working wherever she pleases.

And shares lots of steps, advice, and other reading materials too that will hopefully make the journey easier for others.

There's a lot of information on the systems, processes, and tools that she uses to automate her business. And travel tips are discussed in detail here.

Natalie answers some common questions: How do you make money online? What do you need to build an online business? Do you need a website? How do you use social media? How do you build a team? And much more.

Both the benefits and challenges of being a suitcase entrepreneur are presented here. Natalie describes the work she did to get to where she is now, and the hard work she still does to make sure that her personal life and her business are running smoothly.

The book is a great read for online entrepreneurs, especially if you aspire to have a business that’s location-independent.

As someone who runs a service business online, I appreciate all the resources she shared. But most of all, I like this reassurance:

“Be your best self and success will slowly but surely come along on your journey with you.”

I’ve been following Natalie Sisson – the Suitcase Entrepreneur – through her social media feeds for a number of years now and read the first edition of this book a few years ago. To summarise, this is a great improvement on what was already an excellent book.

There are even more resources, advice and tips in this edition for the reader.

One important point – for the person who wants to set up a laptop based freedom business then this is a good book. But the last third or so of it are dedicated to the person who wants to set up a business AND go travelling. So, if that’s you this will be perfect for you.

It’s written with frankness, honesty and openness. It doesn’t sugar-coat entrepreneurship, travelling and combining the two, so it does give both the good and lessons from mistakes and problems encountered by Natalie over the years.

Yes of course the upsell is to go on to buy the various courses, but that misses the point of the usefulness of the book.

All in all, invaluable reading.

This book is brimming with useful information and lots of encouragement to take the plunge in setting up your own internet business, It is really in two parts, one aimed at the digital entrepreneur and the other at travelling. So if you are interested in either this book will be useful for you. I like the authors style of writing and her 'just go for it' attitude. You have nothing to loose as the start up costs are so low. I liked the links to useful websites and resources, but a few of her recommendations just felt like embedded paid adverts and I wasn't convinced. Overall though the book was very good and an easy inspiring read.
