Royce is such a smartarse, "goddarn, I love when she sasses me. “The only one I want on my jungle gym keeps avoiding me.” Royce sometimes just eagerly needs his woman, and doesn't care whose in his way, "I carry her through the crowd, and her mouth goes to my neck, licking and sucking on me. “Get out of my way,” I growl at people who are blocking us. When I get to the bathroom, I kick it closed and shoot the bolt." I loved this quick little read, Royce was one alpha man.

Alexa Riley's formula should be well-known by now: instalove, a hero who goes alpha the moment he sees his significant half, decides he wants her and does everything to claim her as his territory. Be prepared for over-dramatic moments interspersed with sex that can be scorching, though you might question the validity of the connection between the protagonists because of this.


'Hold Tight' is Pandora's book - something I've looked forward to for a while - but its sheer brevity (this tops out at a mere 64 pages) magnifies the faults I find with Riley's books. Had it been a longer, more drawn-out version, I think I would have liked and rated the story a lot higher with greater character depth and development. Still, Riley delivered a safe(ish) read, with a guaranteed HEA, so it could be a balm for readers discouraged and cynical about their romance reads.

This is Pandora's book--twin to Penelope, daughter of Paige and Captain. Taking place years after her twin gets her happy ever after, Pan is not like her sister and doesn't readily believe in all the hearts and flowers. But when she meets Royce, there is an instant attraction/connection and she finally gets it. Being the tough one, she tries to resist as long as she can, but Royce is persistent and wears her down. It was nice to read her story and I liked that it was the complete opposite of her twin's. If you don't like the Insta-love books, this won't be for you, but if you do, it will absolutely leave you satisfied.

I admit that reading a new Alexa Riley book is a guilty pleasure. They are always short, sweet and almost too hot to handle.

Pandora is a bad ass in the office. She's the boss, head of security. When Royce is hired as a consultant the sparks fly between them. She's determined to show him that she can resist, but that's a bigger job than she anticipated. He checks most of her boxes. It's not until she sees him in the ring that the rest of the boxes are checked. Sexy, sweaty, muscled, and tattooed. Check, check, check and check. She's used to being the boss, so why does she feel like submitting when she's near him? How much longer can she resist him?

Royce knew that he wanted her immediately. But he knows that if he pushes her, he'll lose her before she ever gives him a chance. It's killing him, but he must wait for her. If he survives, she will be worth the wait.

The waiting almost killed me too! She's a hard-headed woman and is used to letting her mind be in charge of her body. It's a good thing that Royce has what it takes to reverse that process. Hold Tight it's HOT!

Another awesome quickie by the dynamic writing duo Alexa Riley!

Pandora has been skirting around Royce since he first made his intentions obvious. She is certainly attracted to him but holds herself back from taking the next step. There is something about him that just doesn’t add up. When the truth is revealed, Royce’s inner beast surfaces and he makes his move. Too much, too fast? Possibly.

As all AR books, this is a fast paced, quick read filled with instant lust, instant love and an over the top jealously protective hero. The steam factor is off the charts even if it doesn’t present itself until about half way through the story. And as always, the epilogue is enough to add an additional star rating because it made me swoon, smile and sigh.

The beginning of this book was quite good, but then it took a downturn and became quite cheesy. In the second half of the book it seemed like Royce and Pandora were different characters because they are so different. Royce goes from a business man to an illegal fighter and Pandora goes from daddy's princess to a skank. I know it is a novella and they have to move fast because they are short, but I found this just too quick. But the steamy scenes are quite hot!

The two sassy friends and Queens of smut hit another home-run with this second installment in the For You series featuring Pandora Justice, Penelope’s twin sister we met in book one, and Royce Davenport.

Pandora’s the head of security at Osbourne Corp and she’s all about her stressful job and does not have time for relationships. That is until she meets her new hotshot consultant, Royce Davenport.

Pandora doesn’t like being bossed around by handsome outsiders and she knows how to keep Royce on his toes with her sassy mouth. She’s a strong-willed woman and a feisty kickass heroine. I liked how she challenged him and didn't just fall at his feet. Royce meets his match in Pandora. She’s a leader and most men are threatened by that, but not Royce. He handles her perfectly, while letting her be who she is. Royce is definitely a crazy possessive and obsessed hot alpha male when it comes to his woman, and the more she plays hard to get, the more he’s determined to claim her as HIS.

As per the usual Alexa Riley’s MO, this book is a good blend of steamy sex scenes, sweet romance and over-the-top sugary goodness. This story was ridiculously entertaining and it worked for me just fine. If you are in the mood for a quick short read with some mighty fine smutty smut that will satisfy your naughtiness and will leave a smile on your face, look no further.

An AR story always puts a smile on my face!

Hold Tight is the second installment in the 'For You' series, after reading Penelope's and Ivan's story, which I really liked, I couldn't wait to read the next one and so Pandora and Royce appeared and oh boy it was really enjoyable with very hot scenes and as always lovely characters with Rolly being the super possessive/caveman hero we love and need.

In addition, it has not one but two sweet epilogs and of course HEA. What's not to like?? Certainly, recommend it to everyone and I'm looking forward to their next lovely creation!!

A fun, super sexy, quick read that is completely enjoyable. Insta-love at it's best. Perfect lazy afternoon read. Excellent story and great characters. Definitely a recommended read.

4 Smutty Little Stars

Pandora and Royce spice things up in the next installment of the For You series by Alexa Riley.
Pandora has taken over for her father as head of security at Osbourne Corp. When Royce earns a contract with the company, the attraction is immediate. Pandora attempts to fight it as hard as she can, but you know what happens in an Alexa Riley book, right? OTT, possessive, alpha yumminess ensues!

What I enjoyed: This is the reason I read a AR books. They’re short, sexy, and so much fun – the perfect little pick me up to read between longer and heavier novels. Royce is unexpected. He’s a buttoned-up suit by day and something so much more rugged at night. What a shocker! I didn’t see it coming.
What I did see coming was him claiming Pandora in true caveman fashion and locking her down tight so everyone would know.

Another winner from Alexa Riley!

This was a great edition to this series. I love this authors work, and the way they tell a story. The couple had great chemistry, and a strong connection. It was also nice to catch up with the characters from the previous books. Excited for the next book.

I liked this very well written book. It surprised me positively. The characters Royce and Pandora are well described and develops both during the story. A quick short and easy read that has it all. It is in dual POV which I like because you get to know both feelings and thoughts of the main characters.
Royce is going to streamline the firm Pandora is working in. She keeps denying Royce and her feelings.
A sweet and enjoyable read. It has drama, action, hot guys, chemistry, lust and twists. I love that Royce has both a sweet and a rough side.

This is the second novella in the For You series, which is a spinoff of the For Her full length novel series. This story is about Pandora, who is Penelope's (the heroine from book #1) twin sister, and the daughter of Paige and Captain from His Alone.

Pandora Justice is all grown up. At 28, she is dedicated to her job as head of security at Osbourne Corp. She took over the department when her dad retired, and she's determined to give it everything she's got. She has no time, nor really any inclination, for dating. Her twin sister fell in love and got married when they were 18, and started popping out babies right away, so she just stays close with her family and helps to spoil her 2 nieces. She's never really felt like anything was missing in her life, since she is so close to her family. But, then, she meets Royce.

Royce Davenport grew up rich, but he and his 2 best friends worked hard to start their own company, with no help from their families. He runs a consulting firm, and he's currently working temporarily for Henry Osbourne at Osbourne Corp. He's trying to help streamline their processes, and make sure they are staffing the way they should be. When Henry takes him down to meet the head of security, and he sees Pandora for the first time, he's completely stricken. He's never been serious with any woman, and now all he can think about it making Pandora his. But, she won't give him the time of day, and in fact is completely avoiding him whenever possible. He's got to pin her down and make her see they belong together.

Royce and Pandora had instant chemistry, but it sent her running, because she's never felt that way with anyone before and it scared her. Nothing scares her, so the fact that he does ticks her right off. She chickens out and basically avoids him at all costs, until she figures out how to handle the situation. She and her twin sister are still very close. Penelope notices that she's having issues, and helps her come to terms with her feelings for Royce and how to deal with them.

I enjoyed this story, as I do all AR books, but I didn't like it nearly as much as book 1, Stay Close. That one I absolutely LOVED. Something about this one just didn't click nearly as well for me. There was your typical AR insta-lust, insta-love, possessive hero goodness. I liked Royce a lot, but I guess I felt as though I knew Pandora already from reading the last book, and I didn't feel like we got to know Royce nearly as well. I wanted to know more about what made him tick and why he was so drawn to Pandora, so I felt that was a little lacking.

Overall this was a perfectly enjoyable short novella, and I am very much looking forward to Henry's HEA in the final novella. I hope he gets to be as crazy stalkerish as his dad Oz was in Everything For Her!

Pandora's turn! While her twin found her special someone back in high school (I kinda dig those two together. STILL!), Pandora has taken a decidedly different route from her homebody sister and poured everything she has into work. And she's happy. Mostly. Then she lays eyes on Royce and her life goes sideways.

In a good way.

He's HARDCORE smitten with her and she's equally as smitten with him, but VERY good at hiding it. Even from herself.

When they run into each other outside of work--BOOM--THINGS HAPPEN. In that glorious Alexa Riley way.

Fast-paced with enough spice to satisfy, I'm very curious to see how far and hard the hero of the next book falls.

The only thing wrong with this book is that it's too damn short!! I could have gotten lost in the world of Pandora and Royce for hours upon hours. Alas, that was not the author's intent. Instead, this is a quick and dirty follow-up allowing fans like me a glimpse into the lives of the grown children of the characters from the For Her series. This particular book focuses on Pan, one of Paige and Ryan's daughters, and hotter-than-sin Rolly. Like other AR books, the attraction is immediate and intense. Pan is stubborn, sassy, and difficult, just like her mother (who is one of my all-time favorite heroines), so I was really looking forward to her story. She did not disappoint. And Rolly...oh my goodness, Rolly. He is possessive, devoted, and determined! I loved their story and look forward to Henry's story. I first found AR through Net Galley, and I was honored to have the chance to read/review another of her books.

Wowzers what an amazing story. Short sweet and oh so hot.
I loved that characters from previous books showed up and we got to see where they were at. There really was just so much to love and really Alexa Riley always brings their A game. Their push and pull always reels me in.

I have an unhealthy obsession with Alexa Riley's work. I read it as soon as it comes out. And then again and again and again. Pandora and Royce's story was no different. I love the follow up to the For Her series with these books about the twins. I'm hoping Henry gets a book as well. Highly recommend.

Hold Right is Alexa Riley, which means this fun author-duo delivers exactly what you’d expect of them. A smoking hot love story with a slightly naive heroine and a thoroughly possessive alpha-male hero. It’s fun, sexy and entertaining fantasy. Royce meets Pandora when he is hired to as part of a consulting contract. Sparks fly from the moment they lock eyes, but Pandora tries to ignore this unrelenting pull between them. Royce is not going to be denied by the feisty Pandora, because he’s convinced their meant to be together. Their cat and mouse game is mesmerizing, and their coming together is scorching. They’re perfectly matched and fun to watch. Hold Tight is a quick and dirty fun romance.
