This was a great read, the story was really gripping and while not the happiest of topics it drew me in and I really enjoyed reading.

Veronica is trapped in a frozen bubble of grief after the tragic death of her daughter, Grace. Her husband, Tom, is increasingly distant and she cannot rely on her friends, particularly Felicity who has her own agenda. When the enigmatic and carefree Scarlet comes into her life she starts to behave in ways that both shock and energise her. Who is Scarlet and what impact will she have on Veronica's shattered existence?
I was quickly drawn into the book, particularly the exchanges between Veronica and the vipers' nest of so-called friends. I could completely believe in her desire to cut loose, even when some of Scarlet's antics went completely against her own moral compass.
I did not see certain things coming, which – to me – is the sign of a well-written novel. The tension is maintained throughout and the ending struck just the right note.
My only tiny quibble would be the book's title as there are several books of the same name. This aside, it is a very entertaining and gripping tale.

Quite a page-turner. This book kept me going and I just couldn't put it down. It had unexpected turns, and I'm so glad I got to read it. Well worth the time to read.
