1 star. I didn't not like this plot at all. The ending for me was awful. I know there is going to be another book, but the 2 men... nope. not for me!

SO GOOD!!!! There are so many layers: you've got Reese (the female lead) having a one night stand with her rock star idol/crush, Mark Ashton. OF COURSE she falls in love with him - how could you not when the man you've been crushing on for years rocks your world. But it isn't to be, because, duh - it's a one night stand. In her quest to move on, she meets the handsome business man, Brian Fox, and is able to finally start getting past her lingering feelings for Mark... EXCEPT - Mark and Brian are brothers! This is the second love triangle book I've read this week where I can not decide who I want to win. The book is so well written and hot and angsty and fun and WHAT A CLIFFHANGER. This was my first Lisa Suzanne book and obviously I'm so down for the sequel/follow up and I'm definitely going to look at her other works. I give A Little Like Destiny a solid 3.75 out of 5 wine glasses.

OMG ... a huge cliffhanger!

Reese Brady has been in love with Mark Ashton for the past 10 years ... and so has every other woman, as Mark is the lead singer for the rock band VAIL. But after a concert, Reese gets her "one night" with Mark. And what a night it is! ... she won't be forgetting it anytime soon. As she's sneaking out of Mark's bed in the middle of the night, when she exits the elevator she runs directly into Brian Fox ... another gorgeous man. After another accidental meeting, Brian pursues her till she agrees to a date. Reese is having trouble getting over her one night with Mark, but she realizes that Brian could offer her stability and forever ... while she knows, with Mark's reputation, that it was just that one night. After a month of dating Brian, she finds out that Brian and Mark are brothers. Then there are so many twists and turns that you don't know what to believe.

I know that on paper Brian should be the man for her, but I believe that he is keeping a big secret from her that could change everything. I also believe that Mark truly has feelings for her. So I'm gonna come right out and say that I hope she picks Mark. I do feel a little sorry for Brian because he always feels that he comes in second to Mark ... but maybe it's true because of his bitterness towards Mark. Ugg ... I don't know what to think! All I know is I can't wait for the second book ... even though I have a feeling we won't find the answers until the third book.

A Little Like Destiny is sexy, has some good angst and a oh my love triangle. Reece is a basically in a rock and a hard place with her heart. I mean come on how would you choose between Mark the rock star and Brian the business man. It probably doesn't help that she has lusted after Mark for years and one night changes everything. It doesn't help when she finds out they are brothers. Ugh bring on the angst, the torcher of the heart. There are times I wanted to slap Reece and be like pull the big girl panties up. I can't wait to see how this is all going o play out. I have a feeling after the ending to this one that this ride of the heart is just getting started. Seriously how can one choose when both pull at you. I need the next book like now. Hello Cliffy. You can't do this to me nope. I loved this book. A must read for those how adore rock stars, business men, school teachers and love triangles.

5++ stars but prepare yourself because this leaves you with a huge cliffhanger.

Reese is a school teacher in Vegas and is getting the opportunity to meet Mark Ashton who just happens to be the rock star she has majorly crushed on for years. Reese’s friend is making all of this happen by getting the backstage passes for the girls to meet this heartbreaker. Reese has been to Vail concerts before but this time she would have sworn that the sexy rocker was actually making eye contact with her a few times during the concert but then again don’t most girls hope that the rocker is singing just to them.

When Reese meets Mark face to face she is feeling this strange and overpowering connection and isn’t sure if he is feeling the same thing so she just brushes it off. When Reese is given the chance to leave the venue with Mark, she does what most women would do…she went even if it was for just one night. Within Reese’s mind and heart she felt this crazy connection with Mark and would have sworn he felt the same. They seemed to speak to each other about things you wouldn’t just tell anyone so maybe this is why she thought there was some kind of connection. Once morning is starting to break Reese figures that this is all status quo for the rocker according to all the things she’s read so she wants to leave on her own terms before he tells her to go.

As she gets off the elevator with her tear stained face she runs into a brick wall…that brick wall’s name is Brian Fox who just happens to be the next big up and comer businessman in Vegas. After declining his offer for coffee they meet by chance again and this time she gives in to his offer for dinner. Even with the heavy heart she has right now Brian is a real deal with looks that could be on a magazine cover and who seems to have his life right on track for success.

Don’t let the cliffhanger stop you from reading this fantastic rock romance. This author has thrown so much at you that you just have to keep turning those pages to see what all the secrets are and whose heart is going to be broken.

I received this ARC for a freely given and honest review.
