I have not read this author before, and I enjoyed the title. I like cowboy romances, and I appreciated how the heroine tried to resist the hot cowboy.

Heartwarming smart romance

This was the first time I've read
Debra Holt but it certainly won't be the last.
Stacy and Davis were a marvelous couple two independent people from different backgrounds that fit perfectly. Their dialogue was realistic and the relationship plot line along with the little bit of suspense kept my attention till the very last page. I look forward to reading the other books in the Lawman series.

I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

4 ½ Star Review…..

Throughout the Texas Lawmen series, Ms Holt has continued to provide readers with exciting, action-packed, well-rounded stories, that will capture any romantics imagination as she highlights the diversity of her characters.

The Texas Lawmen are larger than life, and true to any alpha male they display and unending desire to protect, serve and adore the women who capture their hearts. Davis and Stacey’s story was enthralling and held my complete attention from beginning to end as they navigated the rocky road to eternal happiness.

This is definitely a series I’m happy to recommend, as I’ve fallen for ALL these Texas Rangers and can’t wait to read even more of their adventures as they wade their way through the turbulent waters of love.

There isn't another author that I've found who can write larger than life lawmen like Debra Holt. With the overpowering need to protect, the essence of a true Texas Ranger is captured in the character of Davis McKenna...her depiction of him as a man who does not go unnoticed was complimented by his sensitive and intuitive nature, making him that much more alluring.

Throughout the story there was not a moment where Davis and Stacey didn't have my complete emotional investment...in his pursuit to breaking down her barriers, and her realizing that misconstrued imagines from her childhood were far from what embodied Davis who wore the coveted label of a true cowboy.

Stacey's talking herself into the bravery that was necessary in thwarting a kidnapping was heartwarming, and brought the drama that added dimension to the story. Davis' fear for her safety during that episode was palpable...making for quick page turning in anticipation of the outcome.

I look forward to the next installment of the series that I've so thoroughly enjoyed.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Along Came a Ranger is a fun read! Both the characters and the storyline are captivating. I loved the amateur sleuthing thrown in. I like romances, especially those based in Texas. This one fit the bill. I will definitely look for more books by Debra Holt. Go, Red Raiders!
