My husband died three years ago and I still miss him every day and grieve his loss. This book was still helpful to me after all this time and I wish it had been available when he first passed. It reassured me that my experiences were normal and part of coming to terms with his sudden death.
The most helpful piece that i found was 'Take comfort in the fact that not wanting to say goodbye is normal. Take comfort in the fact that saying goodbye does not mean you don’t love the person . And take comfort in the fact your goodbyes are temporary, for one day you will say hello again in a new place.' What a hope we have for the future.
I recommend this book for all that are grieving their loved ones and feel sure they will be comforted through the words.
I was given this book by NetGalley and the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

First, let me preface this by saying I am by no means a Christian. I did, however, enjoy reading this and found some comfort in it. I would say if you are open-minded and grieving, you should give this book a chance, even if you aren't Christian.

In this book, Wright meets his readers where they are. In grief. Wright is a respected Christian counselor, and he helps us, those who grieve, to continue meeting with the Lord - even in our grief. This is a book that will help us to continue finding our way back into a time of Bible study, despite what has happened.

In these devotions, we are reminded of the truths we can hold onto. We are reminded of God's character and limitless love for us. If you are grieving and wondering how to reenter your quiet times with the Lord, despite the shock your soul feels, this book is for you. If you need comfort and encouragement, this book is for you. If you need help drawing near to the Lord, this book is for you. Draw near, and allow Wright to serve as a guide of sorts - used by God to lead you back into His arms even when you wonder how you can find the energy to move.

Excellent devotional book for those dealing with grief. Wright guides you through the grieving process never making you feel like you have to rush through it. He has comforting words and gives you hope for healing. He lets you know that its ok to grieve but to also go to God because he is there to provide peace and love for us.
