See Me, See Me Not is a good fit for those seeking an emotionally charged, fast-paced romance that delves into complex themes of guilt, loss, and the power of human connection.

See Me, See Me Not was actually a book that I had been interested in reading for quite a while, truth be told. After I started reading Tessa and Luke's story, I realized how much better this book would have been if it were a New Adult novel instead of a Young Adult novel. That's just my opinion though. I ended up not finishing See Me, See Me Not, not too long after I started reading it.

I just realized that it is the second book of the series. Though it can be considered as standalone. Anyway, the story a bit confusing to me. Tessa’s sister has been caught by someone who is a cult and has to brainwash her about the whole system and how it works while Tessa feels so lost without her sister with her mom who’s been looking for her sister anywhere using any option she can to know where is she. And then there is Luke. Luke, a guy who is running away from his own family because of his stepfather is in the cult.

Honestly, I thought this book is all about teenage love story only. But it is more than that.

This book intrigued me from the very first page. I didn't expect the book to have such a thought provoking and serious subject matter. I thought it would just be another second chance romance not that there is something wrong with them. I appreciated the attention to detail and the depth concerning the characters and the issues each of them were dealing with. I felt that their methods of coping and reactions were realistic which helped me to believe the story more fully. I thought the mystery of their pasts and what happened to Mellie were well done. The author was able to put enough interesting breadcrumbs to make readers want to continue to read without giving away too much information that would give away plot points. It made for a good flow to the story wherein everything happened at good pace.

I know that the books in this series are supposed to be standalone but I felt like I should have read the first one. See Me, See Me Not starts off by throwing the reader right into the fray and I felt like I was missing something...like maybe there was information I needed to know beforehand to fully grasp the situation. There were aspects of the book that I felt needed to be explained more thoroughly concerning Luke and Tessa's pasts. I still don't feel like I can fully grasp exactly what was going on and why. I get the main idea of the conflict but would have liked to understand some of the details better.

Unfortunately, after only a few chapters, I realized this book wasn't for me and I quit. The story itself seems to have a great potential, but the writing style confused me a bit. The author jumpes from one scene to another.
Thanks for the opportunity, though. I appreciate it.

This was the second book in this series, and I don't know if it was that I was so excited about the book, but I did not enjoy it as much as I did the first one, now don't get me wrong, it was still good, and I did still enjoy it, but I had loved the first one, Dimi and Erin had captured my heart. I liked Tessa, even from the first book, poor girl had went thru so much, from having a wacked mom, not that she meant to be that way, but the poor lady just couldn't help herself, but she tended to forget that she had a second daughter, and that part broke my heart. Then there was Luke, I understood that he had gone thru a lot, but he just didn't my sympathy, I think Tessa deserved someone better, but I had to remind myself that they were teenagers and not to hold it against him. We got to see Erin and Dimi briefly, very briefly and that part just about killed me, I had wanted just a little more of the, but I get it story is not about them, but it would have been nice, to catch up with them, but I am hopeful that we will get to read more about their relationship when Natalia's book comes out, because I can't wait for that, she deserves it. Anyway, don't wait, catch yourself up, we still get a lot of hours of entertainment.

I have to be honest and say when I read the blurb I expected a little paranormal/psychic aspect to the story. However, this story was definitely not what I expected and I don't mean it in a terrible way. This was an okay read for me and I liked the mystery aspect to the story, but what I honestly didn't expect was the story to be cult like because I didn't get that from reading the blurb. I really did enjoy Tessa and Luke's characters and I enjoyed reading their moments together and even though this story was an okay read for me, it wasn't really a story I would have finished reading if I hadn't signed up for the ARC. It was slow at times but I honestly enjoyed Tessa and Luke. This was the first book I've read from this author so I'm glad I had the chance to read her work.
