A good addition to the White Knights series by Susan Sleeman. The action is believable and not over the top unrealistic. The romance is slow and steady. Highly recommended!

3.5 Stars
I have very mixed feelings about this book. It was a good book, that I enjoyed reading, but I'm sorry to say that I didn't love it the way I did the first book in the series. After loving book one SOOO much I think perhaps my expectations were so insanely high that no book probably would have been able to live up to them. I did love the main characters Rick and Olivia, their faith stories and character growth were fabulous, and I loved watching them fall in love! There were a lot of parts of the book that were very interesting, and I adored getting to hang out again with the rest of the White Knights team. But, I kept feeling there weren't nearly as many suspense/action scenes as I was expecting. The suspense ramped up a lot near the ending which was perhaps my favorite part of the book, but it also sort of felt like it was a bit too little, too late at that point.
Overall, while it didn't become a favorite I did still enjoy Kill Shot and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I received an ebook copy of this book from the publisher which did not influence my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.

Another suspenseful book that I have come to love by Susan Sleeman.

This is my first read by Susan Sleeman but will definitely not be my last. Filled with suspense, fast paced action, and romance, this book reminded me of those from Lisa Harris, Dee Henderson, and Irene Hannon. Although I have not read book 1, I had no trouble following the storyline. I have already requested book 1 from my library.

The White Knight FBI team had wonderful dynamics and their commitment to each other and to their case was obvious. Dr Oliva Dobbs is a Christian psychologist (Wow I thought that was great!) who counsels predominantly with military personnel suffering from PTSD. This is such a timely topic as so many are returning from repeated tours in Afghanistan or Iraq and dealing with PTSD. She becomes involved with the White Knight team when one of her patients is gunned down shortly after meeting with her. The action begins there and is non-stop until the final page when the culprit is apprehended.

The main characters, Olive and Rick, the head of the White Knight team, are realistic, complex, and both face family relationship challenges that cause them to question their faith. Sleeman dealt realistically with their doubts but always steered them back to their faith foundations. I loved Olivia's explanation to Rick of brokenness and the role it did and didn't play in people's lives.

I will be looking forward to more fast paced suspense from this author.

Kill Shot is the second book in Susan Sleeman's White Knights series and boy oh boy was it good! After reading and loving the first book, Fatal Mistake, I was very eager to pick up Kill Shot. Right away the story grabbed me and I got invested in the characters.

Speaking of the characters, I loved them all. The members of the FBI Task Force (The White Knights) were awesome and I really enjoyed getting to know them better. I liked how Rick progressed in this story and worked through some of his issues. Also, the romance between him and Olivia was good and I think it moved along nicely and wasn't rushed.

All in all, I loved Kill Shot. If you enjoy suspense novels, I definitely recommend it!

*I received a complimentary eBook copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. As ALWAYS, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.*

This is the second in the White Knight series and an excellent suspenseful romance novel by Susan Sleeman one of my favorite authors of that genre. This promises to be a very entertaining series.

Kill Shot has you from the opening scene when Dr. Olivia Dobbs client, a military veteran suffering from PTSB, is murdered right in front of her. She becomes the FBI's prime witness as well as possible suspect. FBI Agent, Rick Cannon, knows that the victim was killed by a smart bullet, and he and his team are anxious to find the sniper before he kills again.

When Olivia lands in the cross hairs of the sniper, Rick becomes even more desperate to find the killer, because he finds himself becoming drawn to the pretty therapist. Olivia, for her part, feels the mutual attraction but Rick is all the things she wants to avoid in a potential romantic interest. He is former military, suffers from his own issues which he keeps close to the vest, and doesn't trust her.

As, subsequent victims fall and Rick tries to keep Olivia safe in his parents compound where his estrangement from his parents complicates things, the team races against time to find the sniper before he does the next Kill Shot. I received this novel from Netgalley for my honest review.

This is an amazing adrenaline rush!

I loved both of the main characters in this book! Rick and Olivia are so well developed that I was able to really connect with each of them. They each have hang ups that made it easy to just see them as real people. It was comforting to me that Olivia, the therapist that was able to help others sort out their problems, had a ton of problems when it came to dealing with her own family.

I loved getting to know more about the members of the White Knights team. Seeing how they interact with each other was great. They are the rough and tough protectors. Yet at the same time they had personal vulnerabilities, making them very human.

The plot of this story was so intense that I was sucked into the story and I knew that I wouldn’t be able to let it go without finishing it. I HAD to find out who had the smart bullets and why they were killing the people that they were.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I have chosen to write this review to express my personal opinion.

Rick is on a special mission and it seems that there could be more to this then meets the eye can he find the bad guys before he looses someone close to him or even worse his own life?
Olivia is just helping her family and going on with life trying to help those she loves and soldiers who are struggling. But it seems that someone may be after her and her clients can she protect those she cares about?

This book was amazing, this book deals with some very tough subjects. I could not put this book down reading late into the night just to see what was going to happen next. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps you guessing with every turn of the page from beginning to end. I really loved the team and how they feel like a family all working towards the same goal and all have each others backs no matter what. I want to say one of my favorite characters in this book would be Yolanda she's like everyones favorite great aunt. I loved how this book was a good clean read and romance. This series so far has been amazing and I really can't wait for more. My hope is Shane and Kaci end up together (fingers cross) :-)!!!

Kill Shot is the second book in the White Knight series by author Susan Sleeman. White Knights is an FBI special task force. When someone is killed in Atlanta with a bullet (smart bullet technology that was stolen), this team is dispatched to track down the killer. There is suspense and romance, but the characters seemed really disconnected and hard to relate to. Though I am a huge fan of this author, for some reason I had a difficult time really getting into this book and it seemed to drag on longer than it needed to.

I received this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

Great story about the FBI team protecting Olivia, a psychologist who works with PTSD patients. Lots of action as the team works to find who is targeting and killing former and active duty marines using stolen bullets from a secret project. Team work and high morale integrity makes this a worthwhile read.Highly recommended!

I enjoyed visiting another adventure with the White Knight team of the FBI once again and reading Rick's story. He is carrying around a lot of emotional baggage that he needs to work through. When the team has a case that involves former military patients of therapist Dr. Olivia Dobbs in Atlanta, Rick and Olivia bump heads. She realizes that Rick has some issues that he needs to deal with but he isn't interested in her analyzing him. Rick is in charge of the case and they do have to work together. There are some bad guys killing her patients and with a weapon that is impossible to defend against. Susan Sleeman knows how to write a great suspense that will keep you turning the pages. Her characters are well developed, likable and real. Kill Shot has a scary and dangerous plot that will make you hope it never happens in real life. Add in a little romantic friction and you have another great addition to the series. Both Rick and Olivia are Christians who have moments that they need to rely on God's strength in their situations, especially involving relationships with family members. Susan Sleeman is an author that I have come to expect a great read every time.
I was given a complimentary copy by FaithWords via NetGalley. The views stated are my own honest opinion.

Kill Shot is the second book in the White Knights series, and while I thoroughly enjoyed Fatal Mistake, this one missed the mark a little bit for me. I love this special task force and looked forward to getting to know them more in this story. That hasn't changed, I still think they are great. The plot is a great idea, and there is definitely suspense and intrigue here, but it's bogged down somewhat by quite a bit of dialogue. Not to mention that we seem to need to be reminded every other page that Olivia is a psychologist. She unfortunately gets a little annoying. Stop analyzing the poor guy! Besides the overanalyzing, quite often what is supposed to be a romantic moment is just terribly awkward.

As for the plot, it's a good one and I was kept interested especially by all the tech talk, the methods used by the team to uncover the clues to what was happening. The author definitely made an effort to research the devices and technology and make it sound up to date and exciting, but I think there were too many tangents which kept the story from flowing smoothly.

After all that I still enjoyed it and will read the next one in the series. The first one was so good I have hope that I will enjoy the rest of the series.

I received this book from Netgalley and the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. My opinion is my own.

Olivia is a psychologist who treats veterans with PTSD. One of her vets seems to be afraid for his life, and then just after talking to her ends up dead. When a special FBI team is called in, Olivia knows that this is a lot more than an ordinary mugging, but she doesn’’t have the necessary security clearance for them to tell her what’s going on. Later, when someone takes a shot at her, Rick and his team know that she is now a target and has to put her in a safe space so that they can continue to investigate. The heated feelings between Olivia and Rick simmer just below the surface throughout this fascinating book. The action is non-stop and the investigation itself has enough details to be very believable. Good, clean read!

Kill Shot is an exciting story with military intensity! Sleeman writes her newest novel with a touch of sci fi - at least, I hope that self-steering bullets aren't reality - and lots of drama. You'll cheer on Olivia as she bravely battles obstacle after obstacle, trying both to keep her family safe and to figure out Rick Cannon. She's a fun heroine - she's both smart and pretty, and while she doesn't have experience with the kind of violence that she faces in this story, she learns quickly and fights with her eyes open.

Rick Cannon is a pretty great hero, too. He's also crazy smart, at least where crime solving is concerned, and he does whatever it takes to find the bad guys - even when it comes at great personal expense. He's my favorite kind of hero - he's tough and smart, but he's vulnerable, too. He's willing to put those he cares about ahead of his own comfort.
That's really my favorite aspect of this book - that all of the main characters are smart. I have little patience for the weepy, fainting, does-he-like-me-or-not kind of characters, but you won't find any here. They're too busy watching each other's backs and hunting down clues, and I love the fast pace of it all.
I couldn't figure it out, either - not before the author wanted me to. Even when I thought I could see what was coming, as the action was rising to the climax and the suspense was building, no - Sleeman still threw in a few loops. Isn't it Shakespeare who said that there's nothing new under the sun? Sometimes it feels like it - but this storyline was new to me.
If fast-paced adventure is your cup of tea, then hightail it to your nearest book source and get Kill Shot. You won't be sorry.

FBI Critical Incident Response Team, The White Knights are called in to recover some stolen military technology, self-steering bullets that would make a novice gunman a deadly sniper. Taking the lead on the case is former Marine Scout Sniper, Agent Rick Cannon, who is pleased to be returning to his old stomping grounds in Atlanta.

PTSD Psychologist Dr. Olivia Dobbs is swept into the case when one of her patients is murdered by one of the self-steering bullets right before her eyes. Now she's the only witness in a murder of a top secret case, yet she never saw the killer's face.

Can Rick keep Olivia safe against high tech killers?

Rick takes Olivia, Diann, who is Olivia's sister, and Diana's children to stay with his parents, in their well protected mansion. Olivia senses the strain between Rick and his mother, but he doesn't want her help with personal things.

Rick is constantly alert, and very driven, he is determined to sift through every clue to find the culprit. He likes to keep to himself, and doesn't enjoy talking about himself, which is why he is irked that Olivia wants him to share more about himself.

Olivia is my favorite. She lives her faith, and counsels people thusly. She is committed to her patients, but wants to help with the case as much as she can. Slowly but surely Olivia get's Rick to open up to her, he's everything that she's not looking for, yet they work well together.

A fast-paced race against time full of action and surprises, with a suspense filled and climatic ending. Great characters and dialog, I was happy to read about the White Knights again and look forward to more of their adventures in the future. Fantastic read!

Loved reading the enthralling and amazing romance story. I voluntarily reviewed a book from NetGalley.
While Rick, an FBI special task force specialist, and Olivia, a therapist, work together on a special sniper, their attraction increases and the mystery involving the case rises. Read the highly recommended and wonderfully written, full of romance and intrigue, and a must read love story.
