There are few things I love more than Christmas in London, so I was delighted to receive a copy of One Christmas Kiss in Notting Hill from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for a review. Who doesn't love a cozy Christmas rom com?

This book ticked pretty much all of the boxes for feel good romances: perfect location, attractive and perfectly described characters, laugh out loud moments, a few teary moments (but they didn't overshadow the happy ones), and the perfect amount of drama. Baggot also portrayed Notting Hill (and many other parts of London) perfectly. One of my favorite thing about reading novels based in London is seeing which spots are mentioned, whether or not they are real or fictional, and whether or not they are portrayed accurately. Baggot did not disappoint!

But you know how there is sometimes one detail that drives you absolutely mad through an entire book and keeps you from giving it 5 stars?.........THE SNOW! In this perfect fairytale London-based book, it snowed every single day. The Tower of London was BLANKETED in snow! I have maybe experienced flurries a handful of times in the three winters I've spent in London, and never has snow actually stuck to the ground. Call it jealousy, but I just couldn't get past this while reading.

Ultimately, though, it's the perfect book for cozying up by the fire in your favorite Christmas jammies to give your mind a break from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas period. I'll definitely be recommending this one to friends!

I have read and reviewed many Christmas novels in the run up to Christmas and this is one of the best. Isla and her disabled sister Hannah have lived all their life in London's Notting Hill. Isla has her dream job working for Breekers International and Hannah works in a flower shop. When Isla is told she has to look after Chase Bryan, the new American Ceo of the company, she is not pleased. There is her own work to do and the office Christmas party to organise. Chase arrives with his two daughters and plans to turn Notting Hill into a giant hotel village. Soon he and his daughters are immersed in Isla and Hannah's lives. Sparks fly between him and Isla. Read on!

I do love a good Mandy Baggot book and this one was no exception. A beautiful christmas themed cover and something to make me feel like the world is not as depressing as it really is sometimes!

Isla Winters is our leading lady along with her sister Hannah. Isla works for Breekers and when she is told she is the new CEO's 'go to girl' on his visit to London she is not amused. She has a Christmas Party to finalise and the last thing she wants or needs is to become somebody's 'go to girl'. What she didn't bank on was ChaseBryan being such a hottie! Although Isla and Chase are the main focus of the stroy the other characters in this latest Mandy Baggot book were just as important to me. Isla's sister Hannah as well as Chae's children Brooke and Maddie as well as Raj the postman. This was a whole host of characters all very different and all very likeable for various reasons.

Hannah at only 20 is in a wheelchair but the way this element of the storyline was written was so refreshing. Done with a dusting of humour and along with the loveable cockney Raj they made for a pairr I loved reading about. Isla struggles as the plans for the new Breekers projest could threaten her own life and she finds herself stuck bang in the middle of her worst nightmare. However, she does what she can until there comes a point when she needs to rely oon others and it ends up with some very funny results.

Once again Mandy Baggot has produced a wonderful Christmas themed book which was packed to the brim with wonderful characters, a great storyline and a sprinkling of humour. I read this in just two sittings and absolutely loved it. It seems ever time I pick up a Mandy Baggot book I am never disappointed and this latest one is certainly just as amazing as some of her others. A wonderful read that would definitely make the perfect stocking filler!

One Christmas Kiss in Notting Hill has it all. Flawed characters who draw you in, conflict, friendships, community, breaking the mould of stereotypes and of course romance. I can't put into words just how amazing this story is.

Isla is 5 years older than sister Hannah and oh so protective. I loved how it's made clear that even though Hannah needs that little bit extra she is strong and capable. I was so invested in both sisters and wanted to go live with them! With Chase coming on the scene and knowing his motives I thought I would dislike him. However, when I can get inside the head and heart of a character, my emotions aren't going to be so black and white and it's not that easy. That's what happened with Chase. His growing friendship with Isla and his relationship with his daughters, Brooke and Maddie, gives us plenty of opportunities to see his vulnerabilities and hook us in. He is one mixed up but very hot male.

Beaumont Square, Breekers and Notting Hill in December are fabulous settings for the story to take place. Mrs E and work colleagues add humour whilst Raj is a character who isn't stereotypically what you think he's going to be.

The romance is so special. Powerful and melting at the same time. I loved the scene in the Electric Cinema and afterwards. The London Eye (or iCircle as Maddie renamed it) will never be the same for me :)

There's so much I want to say (peppermint tea!!!!!) but I don't want to give you any spoilers. If you enjoy a romance read then One Christmas Kiss in Notting Hill is a must. A feel good story that will engage all your emotions and senses and leave you on a high.

A lovely Christmas read with just a slightly unbelievable story line! Who would ever think it a good idea to flatten Notting Hill for a super hotel!! Fortunately Isla loves where she lives and will not let anyone destroy her home, even if that someone is the love of her life.
Very enjoyable and easy read

I absolutely loved this book. I've never read Mandy Baggot before but I will definitely be reading more. The storyline and characters were wonderful. Chic lit at its finest. It was nice and Christmassy for this time of year but would be a lovely read all year round. Nice short chapters which made it easy to get through very quickly. Highly recommend.

Ms Baggot does such a good job of describing Notting Hill, I felt i was actually there. In fact, I've put it on my "to visit" list for the next time I'm in London. It sounds wonderful - almost like a village within the city.

But that's not the only thing that's good about this novel. There were lots of little surprises and the tension, both between Isla and Chase and that provided by the plot itself, built nicely throughout.

I loved Hannah! She was the star of the show for me, and I hope Ms Baggot carried on this charming young woman's story with a book all to herself. I'd love to know what happens between her and Raj.

I was given ARC copy of the book on Netgalley and I'm pleased I came across such an uplifting romantic story set around Christmas time. Romantic novels are not really my favourite genre but I enjoy reading them especially around this time of the year. I loved the characters and some bits made me laugh out loud. It kept me captivated and I finished it in one day.

A very good book for Christmans, a story to read with a cup of tea when outside it 's cold. The story was funny, tender and entertaining. Really liked it.

The cover for One Christmas Kiss in Notting Hill is absolutely perfect, the colours are just gorgeous and it really stands out and makes you want to pick it up. I really just want to frame it and look at it everyday!

Oh WOW, I loved being transported to Notting Hill for christmas, I really could imagine I was there, the descriptions in the book are just spot on and so easy to imagine them.

The love story was just beautiful, it made me so happy reading every page I had a huge grin on my face.

It's no secret that I am a fan of Baggots work, whether it's set on a hot sunny Greek island, or a wintery Christmas in the city I know I'm going to enjoy it. And this book did not disappoint.

This book features Isla, her wheelchair bound sister, Chase Bryan and Notting Hill. How can you talk about this book without discussing the setting. Baggot has done an amazing job of describing the surroundings that make you feel like you are actually there, when in reality the closest I've been to Portobello Road is courtesy of Bedknobs and Broomsticks, but i certainly have a better feel for the sights and sounds and smells.

The chemistry between Isla and Chase is there right from, well not quite the beginning because their meet cute moment was over shadowed by Isla being protective of a child that wasn't hers... but from shortly after that moment. And its off the page H.O.T.

This is the perfect book to curl up with in the run up to Christmas.

Isla lives a very busy life, her parents were killed in an accident and her sister ended up in a wheelchair with only Isla to look after her, so when she finds out the American CEO of her company is coming over and she had been assigned to look after him she is not best pleased.

When Chase arrives however she can't help but like him and his two daughters and it becomes a pleasure to show him around London and Notting Hill...... could she every find time for love in her busy schedule?

I love all of Mandy Baggot's books and this one certainly doesn't disappoint, she always had the real knack of drawing you in to the characters so that you really care about them.... loved it!

Isla goes from her work for an international construction company to her home in Notting Hill where she takes care of her sister, without much of a social or dating life - if you don't count the 5am coffee visits from the postman and the old woman living next to her. Her already busy work schedule, that includes preparing for the office Christmas party, is disrupted by the arrival in London of the company's CEO, Chase Bryan. Suddenly she finds herself in the role of his secretary, or Go-To girl, helping him with a new project she doesn't approve of and taking him and his daughters for beautiful tours around London. And as her feelings for Chase move from professional to something more, Isla discovers that his interest in Notting Hill is not just as a visitor.

At the beginning, I didn't really like the characters of Isla and Chase, she was too overprotective towards her sister, and he was too focused on his job and still licking his wounds from his divorce, and I couldn't really connect with them. But the more I read, the more their characters developed, and in the end I couldn't help liking them and wanted to read more. I also really enjoyed Chase's daughters, Brooke and Maddie, whose interactions added hilarity to the novel. It’s an entertaining, romantic, and engaging read and Notting Hill at Christmas time is the perfect setting to frame it all.

As far as seasonal romance novels go, I enjoyed this one a great deal. I liked Isla’s character a lot and I loved the setting. Of course, it hardly ever snows in London, especially in December. I lived there for ten years and never seen it snow as much as it does in this book. But hey, this is fiction and it COULD happen!

There were other issues with this book. The building plans for example, complete poppycock (a word used in the book), but again, this is fiction and does not need to be that realistic.

The most important thing is that I enjoyed the love story, which was cute and not too over the top. I liked both romantic leads and the fact that family played a big role. I also found myself really rooting for the romance developing between two other characters.

If you enjoy a bit of a Christmas romance, you could do worse than pick up this book.

If you are looking for a feel good Christmas story this is a must read book for the holiday season.
Mandy Baggot has a way of making you feel like you are reading about friends and she describes London and it’s history so well. This Christmas tale has it all, an American single dad visiting London on business with his adorable little girl and his hormonal teenager daughter for business, he needs to keep them occupied as well as working so enter his Go to Girl a work colleague who has been assigned to work with him and this is when the story really gets interesting, to keep the girls occupied she takes them on tours of all the London landmarks. I know London very well and this author did an amazing job describing all the sights, the food and Notting Hill. Characters with chemistry and plenty of banter going on with all the secondary characters as well as the main. Christmas is a magical time of year and Mandy Baggot has given a magical book to go into the holiday season with.

I’ve read most of Mandy Baggot’s books so I was looking forward to a lovely Christmas read – and “One Christmas Kiss in Notting Hill” didn’t disappoint.
Isla lives with her sister Hannah, who is in a wheelchair following an accident and works as a florist. Isla works for Breekers and, one day, discovers that she has been nominated as the ‘go-to girl’ for the CEO – Chase Bryan – who is visiting from the USA with his two daughters. She’s not happy about this, especially as she’s trying to put all her energy into organising a fabulous office Christmas party.

A lovely read to get you in the mood for Christmas!

By now its no surprise that I am a huge Mandy Baggot fan and this book was another little gem that didn't disappoint. I must admit I put reading this book off as long as I could, not because I didn't want to read it, but because I didn't want my own thoughts to affect my review. Although I love Christmas it drives me mad to go Christmas crazy too early, in fact, I hate anything Christmas before December, so reading a Christmas themed book before I knew I would struggle.

This is a lovely story based on Isla who is trying to keep her dream job whilst helping her sister Hannah who is in a wheelchair and works as a florist. With the arrival of Chase Bryan, the new CEO sparks fly with Isla.

Mandy has such an addictive writing style that you cannot help but be pulled straight into the story, and it keeps you hooked until the very end. A lovely heartfelt story and you cant help to fall in love with the characters.

Once again I cannot wait to see what Mandy has up her sleeve next!

This book, not my typical choice, maybe a bit too chick lit and predictable for my liking. At least that’s what I thought before I started reading. One Christmas Kiss in Notting Hill, is a love story but it’s also a story about family, and how we have flaws. I loved it. I ended the book with goosebumps and completely in the mood for Christmas.

Chase is visiting London with his daughter Maddie and Brooke. He is the CEO of a company called Breekers which Isla currently works at it. He has a plan for the business which is deeply troubling for Isla who currently works there. Isla lives with her sister Hannah who is trying to be more independent without her sister, as she was tragically made disabled by a car accident which killed their parents. She’s interested in Raj their postman. But, boy, this book has a lot more going on than that.

I loved that there were so many different things happening in this book but they all intertwined with each other. All of the characters are lovable in their own way… except of course Verity and John but you’ll learn more about them. I really felt each of the characters were lovable even when they may not have been on their best behaviour.

The story is one which is easy going and made me want to keep reading which is very different for this type of book lately. At first, I felt the book might have been a bit long based on what I read in the description, but it’s not. It’s the right length. If anything, I didn’t want it to end and wanted to learn more about their lives. I am now officially ready for my happy Christmas story like the people in this story.

Throughout the book there are a number of different modern aspects included which is also something that I truly enjoyed. It referenced things such as; Rag n Bone Man, Grenfall Tower fire. These all added elements to the book which made it feel as if this was actually someone's life we were learning about. I found it the perfect touch for a fantastic book.

I could not find one fault with this book, although there may have been a sneaky error in it that I picked up on – however, I was reading an advanced copy!!! I felt like the characters are all real and enjoyed reading about how each one of them was growing. I can’t wait to pick up my next Mandy Baggot book!

This was my first festive read of 2017 and it didn’t disappoint. It is such a lovely heart warming story with a wonderful cast of characters. I was particularly keen on Mrs Edwards! This is a great story to curl up with by a log fire while sipping hot chocolate. I have never read anything by this author before, but I’ll be looking up her back catalogue now. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Notting Hill with this book. I actually think the ending would lend itself well to a sequel and that’s definitely something I would like to read. If you like women’s fiction with a festive twist, read this!
