In this episode, Sal and Menchú travel to Guatemala to visit an excavation site where they believe Hannah might strike next.
There really isn’t aything to this episode that I haven’t said in previous reviews. The story was captivating and it was interesting to see Menchú back in Guatemala. I feel like this episode will be a turning point to these characters, and I can’t wait to read more!

They say you can't go home again - and in this story, Father Menchu is about to find out if that's true. We're inching closer to understanding the bigger picture with every instalment, and it's starting to look like our team just might be running out of ways to stall the inevitable.

I loved the descriptions of Guatemala in this entry in the series; I don't know if Brian Francis Slattery is familiar with the country, but it sure sounded like he is, and that he loves it. It brought a vividness to the story that's unusual in short stories (chapters of a serial or not), and wrapped a dark tale in a bright, colourful environment that worked surprisingly well with it.

Thank you again to the publisher and Netgalley for continuing to make this series available via NetGalley.
