I feel like I can’t do this series justice with this book review of Tempted & Taken. First of all, I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! I’ve read each one at least 3 times. It’s not particularly easy to find a good romance series that you want to keep coming back too. It’s a good day when a new book is released in this series….although I know it’s also going to be a long night because this book was just as un-putdownable as the previous three.

Soooo, I feel like I keep coming back to #TeamZeke, but for the duration of this book and a few days after….I was #TeamKnox. I love myself a hot, smart, computer nerd. I am all about a partner who can continuously challenge you intellectually. The loyalty he demonstrates towards his friends and family is worthy of a swoon.

I think this book could be a standalone, but it is SO much better if you have read the previous ones because you will feel like you already know the character a little bit. And you have the backstory as to what is going on and how Jace, Zeke and Trevor found their significant others. You also have high expectations for some hot, kinky, scorching sex scenes. *fans self*

As soon as you meet, JJ Simpson (aka Darya Volkova), you know she is hiding something. She has a job that pays her bills, but she wants more for herself and she went through great lengths to set up a meeting with Knox Torren to ask him to become her mentor. It seems as though Knox knows she is hiding something, but he can’t figure it out and it’s driving him crazy because he can always figure things out. He agrees to mentor Darya, but they try to keep things at a friend level because they are co-workers. Their attraction is off the charts and being “friends” is not going to work out. They both fall hard for each other, they just need to figure out a way to get out of the mysterious mess that Darya is in.

This book took a bit of a different approach as to who the “bad guy” was. Because of Darya’s background, the storyline is a bit more international. Some high-tech spying, hacking, mystery, suspense and off the charts sex, you will wish you picked it up sooner. Once you start reading about Darya and Knox, you won’t be able to stop. If you have been reading this series, then you probably already bought this book. If you are looking for a new series to start on this Black Friday, you can’t go wrong with this one.

This is my favorite of the series so far. I love how sweetly protective but also alpha-hot-dominant Knox is. I love the brotherhood and camaraderie of the Men of Haven. I also love the family they've all made. Can't wait for the next story.

Tempted & Taken by Rhenna Morgan is a smart sexy romp with a touch of Russian mafia and cyber security. An enjoyable read, the characters were well developed and the writing was smooth and easy to read.

The only criticism I had was the male/female dynamic. I love an alpha male with a possessive/protective streak a mile wide, but the portrayal of ‘this is the men’s circle’ ‘this is the women’s circle’ and the segregation that entailed bugged me. Although the women in this world were well respected, it was still a ‘boys club’ where the women had very little say, and actually, didn’t even try to have a say, in what was going to happen while the men took care of things. Yes, Darya eventually put on her big girl boots and insisted on taking an active role, but it was made clear that this was only on the approval of the men. Whilst this wasn’t a deal breaker, because as mentioned before the women were respected and they were not thought of as ‘less’, I found the constant use of this segregation to be annoying.

Overall though, this was an enjoyable read. Although Tempted & Taken is book 4 in the Men of Haven series it can be read alone and still be easy to follow. I haven’t read the earlier books and had no trouble catching up. I missed the intricacies of the backstories of the other brothers, but all pertinent information was explained so while this would have added to the book, not reading the earlier titles didn’t detract from the experience.

I think it was Axel in the book who commented about the brotherhood going international, but he’s right. Darya brought in a new twist before the Men of Haven novels could fall too much into a pattern. Some elements were the same in both the brothers helping Darya out and the relationship cementing about half way in to leave more room to devote to the external crisis, but if the broad strokes were similar, the specific story is brand new.

She’s on the run and living under an assumed name when she crosses paths with Knox. Sure, his mind drew her first, but she struggles with a crush on him that’s both physical and mental when she decides to ask for a programming mentorship. She’s got persistence where she doesn’t think she has talent, and he’s the best programmer she knows of. Her attraction is more of an inconvenience than anything else, but when it’s obvious Knox returns the sexual interest, she is determined to indulge in another of her fantasies.

It may be because Knox has specific sexual hang-ups (or rather relationship ones), but while this book is just as explicit as the others, it felt as if more time was spent on the sex…a little too much for my preference…and once again it pushed the boundaries. That said, while I did feel one scene in particular went on too long, each scene served to break away the barriers that had made Knox into a welcome lover but never a boyfriend despite his half-suppressed dreams of finding someone he could trust enough to tear down those walls.

Trust made up a huge theme in the story, in both the personal and suspense threads especially considering everything about Darya, even the name she first gives, is a lie. Knox has a lot to lose, though he’s worried more for his heart than his life despite Darya’s fears. Darya holds her secrets close because she thinks revealing them will put the man she loves and his whole family at risk, but Knox isn’t going to let her go without a fight, no matter who he has to face.

I loved seeing their relationship come together, especially with how the other brothers tease and push Knox into setting his fears aside. Darya’s trying to live up to the sacrifices made in her name, but she feels it as a debt until Knox’s family of the heart makes her one of their own.

While a Russian is her enemy, not only is Darya Russian, but she tells them about others who have helped her, some living in the same gray area of honor and violence the Brotherhood seems to find itself in all too often. I liked how the portrayals were not one-sided, but rather showed different cultures with similar rules, and some bad eggs.

I can’t give specifics without spoiling, but there’s one point when I thought Darya would run, and the story would spring from that point. Instead, she did something much better, and yes, the story did hinge on that choice, but in a way that felt more original than many suspense novels.

Ultimately, despite my quibbles about the amount of sex, this is a true addition to the series with characters that have depth; the same balance of alpha male meaning support and protect rather than cage (critical in this book); and a focus on chosen family standing up for each other no matter what. I also very much appreciated how Darya worked with Knox rather than letting him take over for her, not just in the major crises but always. It’s a strong series with a real sense of honor that flows throughout.

This was crazy good! This is my first in the series and I don't know why I haven't started this series sooner. This has a lot of what I love to see. It follows the same group of people with each book which gives me more time to learn about and love each character more.

I love the comradery of these men and how loyal they are to each other. How they are willing to do whatever is necessary to keep their family safe. I love how hard they fall for their women. Seeing them in protection mode is one of my favorite traits in a Hero.

The character of the women in this series is just as appealing. The way they want to take care of their men is just as appealing as it is to see in the men. None of the women were annoying. The mom's in the group brought levity to the story.

The only thing I could say I wish was different was that Knox pushed away in the beginning, but it also stayed true to his character and we got to see Darya bring him around. There are so many great men in this series and I can't wait to read all of their stories.

Whoa! What an incredible read this turned out to be!
Darya/JJ is hiding from a Russian force that will take her and consume her. She’s had two others in her life help her to get away from that force and now she needs to find a way to be self reliant. In order to do that she seeks help from Knox and his magical coding and hacking. What she doesn’t expect, although she welcomes, is the intense attraction between them.
Knox has a history that broke all trust in women and love except those in his Haven family. He’s extremely skeptical when JJ approaches him regarding a business dealing. His first thought is protecting the family that means everything to him. As he moves forward to mentor her, he welcomes her into his bed but retains the walls he’s built for so many years. And then the unthinkable happens and every one of those barriers comes tumbling down.
Knox was a complete possessive, protective hero and if that’s you jam then this is definitely a book you’re going to want to read. I loved watching him fall for Darya and then have to step back in order to give her the freedom he had promised her.
This is a fast paced, action filled story with awesome characters, some who have had their own books and many more who have not. The steam between Darya and Knox is so great you’re gonna need a fan to help you get through the scenes. Or something a little more personal perhaps. Knox is off the charts all alpha male – almost like a wolf shifter in his manner of taking and claiming – and everything I want in my heros.

This is book 4 in the Men Of Haven series and I do have to admit that I have not read the previous three books but can be read as stand alone.
This book is hot and kept me reading until the very end. It is one of those books i had read in one day because I just didn't want to put it down.
I highly recommend.
I give this 4 out of 5.

M/F Romance
Triggers: Stalking, Death

I would definitely recommend that you read the previous books in this series, as the brothers are all very involved in each story and their dynamics are important.

This is Knox's story and he has always been kind of a loner. You know snippets about him, but really you just see that he's a great protector of the people he loves. He is also completely brilliant with computers and code.

JJ is trying to live her life to the fullest. She is also living her life for her friend who died after not being able to live a full life. When she seeks out Knox, she knows that she's taking a huge risk. JJ has a secret and knows that by exposing herself to Knox, she'll have to come clean.

Knox is drawn to JJ without really knowing why. However, he doesn't do relationships. He has short-term hookups where he doesn't need to become emotionally involved.

I loved the banter between Knox and his family. They pushed and prodded and almost teased Knox out of his shell. His brothers saw JJ for who she was and knew that she and Knox would mesh well together.

When JJ's secrets come back to get her, she has to decide whether she'll stand and fight or run again. Knox helps her with that decision and enlists his whole crew to help her as well. Knox has to know that love will conquer, and JJ has to learn to trust herself and Knox. Their relationship is hot and they have great chemistry because they have a lot in common.

I love that new members keep being added and hope more books are to come as I really enjoy this series.

Oh, these men of Haven! Who knew the geeky computer nerd would be so stinking HOT? Knox can whisper up a mean bunch of pillow talk and get your engine revving!! His alpha male, take charge persona was spot on and he was a dirty talker extraordinaire! He and Darya burned up pages when the two would get busy with some of the best scenes in this series. Throw in the Russian mafia and Darya being on the run from a crazed Russian mobster, you got yourself a very good read! Great action and great heat. Flashy Russian wedding at the end!

I have been waiting on Knox's story from the very first book in this series and I can say I was not disappointed. He was the one that was always stuck behind the computer screen and not much was told about him. Learning about his past kinda blew me away, but it was perfect. And who doesn't love a sexy, hot tech-savvy geek? Can he survive when the sexy Russian beauty shows up on his doorstep?

JJ/Darya is running from her past and trying to live her life to the fullest. After following or stalking Knox – take your pick – Darya knows he is the one to teach her what she needs to learn to make her mark in the world of computers. What she doesn't anticipate is that Knox will steal her heart before she knows it. But in turn, she does the same to him.

Knox has never been in a relationship but finds himself thinking about a future with Darya. Wanting to protect and provide for her, even lay down his life for her when her past comes back to haunt her. Can the brotherhood protect Darya and all the family from the devil himself? Will Knox get his happily ever after with Darya? Will Darya run to save Knox and the brotherhood from the danger chasing her?

I love everything about this series, but I think Knox is my favorite brother. The Haven Brotherhood is a perfect family of men and the women they love – and don't forget the moms who keep the men straight and fed. I love the way the men are with each other, one minute they are picking and laughing and the next it is all serious business. If you love a fantastic story with sexy, alpha males and the women who show them love, then you need to read this series. It is worth every minute and then some. I hope you love it as much as I do. I can't wait for the next one. I wonder who it will be?

This is the fourth in the series, and I would definitely recommend that you read them in order to get the full experience. That said, this is a fast-paced, exciting, and very sexy book in its own right!

The Haven family is at the centre of everything that the brothers do, and they will do anything and everything to protect their own. And even if Knox has sworn to never let a woman get the chance to get close enough to matter, they still support him to the hilt when the time comes. I love how he transitions from someone who protects his heart before all things, to finding that maybe his heart doesn't beat only in his chest. It is a truly beautiful story, and one which Ms. Morgan does with great style and compassion. Add in the inventive ways in which he ensures Darya's pleasure, and this book hits all the right notes.

Darya is the perfect foil for Knox and she is written in a wonderfully understated, calm, and thoughtful way, as someone who recognises her luck at being alive. Then at the same time, she and Knox have the very best banter and cheekiness that brings you back to them both being fun people.

Another hugely enjoyable installment, and as the underlying Haven story moves forward, it would seem that the opportunities for more books is increasing – which makes me very happy.

I have been thoroughly enamored by Rhenna Morgan's Men of Haven this year, and I will be very impatient about having to wait until next year to get my next Haven alpha fix. This series is premised on a group of testosterone-laden men, some with tragic pasts, who have made their own family of in a sort of alpha brotherhood. While each makes his own independent living, the brothers stick together when the going gets tough or when there is fun to be had.

Knox Torren is somewhat of an alpha geek, one that you often behind a computer screen writing code or hacking secure systems. He is also a serial ladies man, a love 'em and leave 'em (screaming after an orgasm) type. Though Knox doesn't set out to hurt the women he sleeps with, and is honest with them from the start that he doesn't do relationships, he can't quite keep them from getting emotionally involved. And who can blame them with the way Knox takes care of business? So why doesn't Knox do relationships, well that's a story for his tragic past that is better discovered by the reader. I liked Knox, but not quite as much as I went gaga for the previous heroes in the series. He was a bit more aloof and bullheaded about the "no relationships" aspect, and I felt like the bit about his past was a tad overblown. But that is me injecting my own sensibilities onto a fictional character. He definitely had talent, no doubt perfected by the repeated practice with women all over town. But once Knox fell... he fell hard and went after his woman with a single-minded determination.

Darya Volkova has a tragic past of her own, one that has sent her into hiding in the United States from her native Russia. I loved Darya's philosophy of life... Dream Like You'll Live Forever and Live Like You'll Die Tomorrow. Despite being in hiding, Darya was trying to live a full life and I liked her adventurous spirit. I really liked this heroine. In fact, I can't think of one annoying thing about her. And that is a real compliment given my heroine-hating proclivities. I loved that Darya took things in stride and was willing to work with Knox and his issues, instead of creating a bunch of unnecessary drama. She also didn't run off half-cocked and get herself into needlessly dangerous situations. So it was like Rhenna looked into my head at all those annoying heroine traits, and she did just the opposite where Darya was concerned. It was refreshing.

The relationship between Knox and Darya starts off casual, but the chemistry is explosive and the steam is off the charts. There was an abundance of sexytime for all you smut lovers, but there was also a bit of intrigue and suspense dealing with Darya's secret past. I do wish the action and suspense would have started a bit earlier, but I think that is me feeling a need for adrenaline lately. Overall, the story fit nicely into the series and I continue to enjoy watching the Haven family expand and grow stronger with the addition of each heroine.

I am on tenterhooks waiting for Axel's book - and I continue to call dibs on his character. I would even love to see a novella or two for the moms - who need their own romantic interest!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from the publisher, Carina Press.

Tempted & Taken by Rhenna Morgan
Men of Haven #4

My, my, my…what a story! I loved it…oh YES…I definitely did!

In book four of the Men of Haven Brotherhood series we get find out more about Knox Torren while meeting the woman that he will eventually claim as his own. Knox is super savvy about computers so when he is offered a business proposition by unknown JJ Simpson he is compelled to do his due diligence before setting up a meeting with JJ Simpson. Now, JJ is NOT what she seems or appears to be…not at all. She is gorgeous, kind, caring, intelligent and a whole lot more. The finding out of who she really is and the trouble she is really in are only part of the story in this action-packed, scintillating and very wonderful story. I loved every moment of this book and can’t think of anything that I didn’t like. I enjoyed catching up with the “family” and look forward to reading more in book five when it comes out. I also am intruigued by Sergei and wonder if a series of his own might be written in the future.

There is a LOT more I could say about this book BUT with thunder rumbling and lightning flashing and the storm growing closer I had better close now and just say – I highly recommend this book and the entire series!

Thank you to NetGalley and the Carina Press for the ARC – This is my honest review.

I am absolutely loving this series and this book is a fantastic addition! These characters are amazing and their backstories will pull you in right from the beginning. There's a ton of passion, steam, suspense, and action packed into this series and this book is no exception as the Haven Brotherhood takes on the Russian Mob.

Darya Volkova has been on the run for a while now but it's time she takes a chance for her future. She knows as soon as she walks into Knox Torren's office that the intense attraction that flares between them could be a problem but working for Knox is a chance she'll just have to take. Knox is aware the woman before is not what she's claiming to be but between his intense attraction and her determination he wants to take a chance on her. He has no idea what he's gotten himself into but it doesn't take long to figure out he doesn't care. He'll do anything for Darya.

This is a fantastic read that I think you'll enjoy. I highly recommend it.

Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die tomorrow.

Those were somber words but meaningful as The Men of Haven is back with a brand-new story. Tempted & Taken penned by Rhenna Morgan. Who said a tech geek life was sexless and the only action that they received was behind a computer. Well in Tempted & Taken book 4 of the Men on Have series. Knox Torren shows that “sexless” isn’t a term that described him. And that he gets more than his fair share of action in and out of the bedroom.

When he was contacted by Darya aka “JJ” he wanted to know everything about her. But when his investigating points to her looking more into him than the brotherhood, he sought to identify why. The only way he can do that is by keeping her close. However, that wasn’t a good idea, because he comes to realize, a little too late that Darya wasn’t like any other women he knew. And when Darya past comes knocking on his door. It is up to Knox and the Men of Haven to do what they do best.

Tempted & Taken was an excellent read. With intrigue and romance that burned the pages. A quick and exciting read from start to finish. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die tomorrow.

I’ve been a fan of Rhenna’s since the first book in the Haven Brotherhood series. I love me some alpha hotties with badass, possessive tendencies, but there’s so much to each brotherhood man that I’m always left with the good feels. Tempted & Taken brings together a computer hacker and a Russian beauty.

Darya is hiding from a formidable foe, but she’s also determined to live. Her goal is to do more than skip tracing and that means learning code. There’s no one better in the business than larger-than-life hacker, Knox Torren.

Knox is hit over the head by Darya, but he’s also weary of whether she poses a problem to his band of brothers. But he doesn’t expect to become quite so invested in her. As Darya’s past comes knocking, Knox has to figure out the direction of his future.

Take the jump. Let me catch you.

One thing about the Haven men…they’re alpha as all get out, but they also know how to use their words. Short, succinct, and always guaranteed to bring the swoons. Knox is no different. I loved how secretly dirty this guy could get, too, and our Darya is more than up for the challenge.

There’s enough adrenaline plot mixed with some swoontastic romance to keep you flipping the pages.

4 stars!

"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow."

I really love the Men of Haven series, but it was Knox's book that I was most looking forward to. Yeah, I'm a geek and I can't resist a tech nerd, especially a hacker. And the fact that he wears silly graphic T-shirts makes me like him even more.

Darya is on the run. She's hiding in plain sight, getting by but wanting more. She made a promise to herself that she would live life to the fullest, "And running wasn't living." She recently moved to Dallas, TX where the weather is HOT and so is Knox. She's been doing her research after learning that he's the best in the business. Those photos of him that she saved on her computer, they are just part of her research. At least that's what she tells herself... every time she looks at them. She's taken the first step. She's reached out to him seeking a business meeting. Now all she has to do is wait, and check her email compulsively in the hopes that he will respond.

Knox knows better than to consider a business meeting without first checking out the person requesting the meeting. While there's nothing alarming, his gut tells him that there's more to her story. When he sees her, he's even more curious. He can't deny that she's beautiful, and he wants her. But he resists the temptation to go there. He doesn't do relationships. He's decided that policy is best to insure, "Less trauma and no drama."

The chemistry between Knox and Darya is intense, and his lust for her makes him rethink his stand on mixing business and pleasure. Will she take him up on his passionate promises knowing that he doesn't want more? She's all for living each day to its fullest, and his filthy mouth has her convinced that he can deliver. Why not enjoy today and worry about tomorrow later, right? It works for me, I wouldn't be able to resist him either. No judgment here.

I'm so addicted to the sexy Men of Haven and their women. "Every one of them incredibly different and fallible on their own, but unbreakable and steadfast as a whole." They have each other's backs, willing to do whatever is needed to support each other. They are alphas and very protective of their women, but they are smart enough to give them the freedom to make choices for themselves. When the girls get together it's very entertaining and makes me wish I could join them for their mani/pedi days.

I'm very happy to report that there are still plenty of sexy single men in the 'family' for us to look forward to in future installments. I can't wait to meet the women that will have them changing their ways and rethinking their future. And I especially can't wait for the family fun when it happens. They might be very supportive, but they can't resist poking and provoking each other and wagers make it even more interesting. I'm especially excited to meet the lass who gets what's beneath the kilt. The line forms here...

RATING 4.5 STARS

Tempted & Taken is book four in the Haven Brotherhood series by Rhenna Morgan. I have loved these brothers of the Haven Brotherhood from the beginning and have been so excited about reading Knox’s story. I knew it would have to be a very special woman to claim his heart and Darya definitely was that.

Darya Volkova, aka JJ Simpson fled Russia for the United States to escape the clutches of an evil man that wanted her for his own very demented reasons. She is living under the assumed name of JJ Simpson and does skip tracing work to pay the bills. But she wants a more secure way to provide for herself for her future. She became aware of the men who call each other “brothers,” especially Knox Torren. He has mad computer skills and she wants him to mentor her. He could teach her so much, not to mention that he is very easy on the eyes. But when she finally convinces him to meet with her, it only takes one look to feel the strong chemistry between them. She needs this gig. She needs to ignore what she’s feeling. The question is, can she?

Knox has been alone his whole life so when he met his now brothers, it was the first family he has ever had. Knox’s mind never stops, computer codes constantly running through his head. He doesn’t sleep, except after sex. He doesn’t do relationships, just hook-ups to give himself the much needed shut eye. Then JJ Simpson walked into his office. That Russian accent and a face that could fill his fantasies for a lifetime was all it took to take his mind places it had no business going. But he agreed to mentor her, that’s all. Or so he thought.

When Darya meets Knox’s family it’s like she was part of them all along. She fit right in, they all loved her and she loved them. It didn’t take much longer for Knox and Darya to give in to the crazy sexual chemistry zinging between them. Everyone else in his family knew just by watching him that she was going to be his woman. Of course, Knox didn’t admit it but when the threat against her became real, and also involved his family, all bets were off, and he knew that Darya was everything to him, that he would do anything to protect her. That she was his future.

As did the previous three brothers, when Knox falls, he falls hard. This rough talking, sexy alpha had such a sweet side. I loved the way Darya knocked down his walls. These two together were most definitely steamy as heck. Darya was perfect. She had a huge heart but she was also tough. She knew who she was, what she needed, and when she loved, she loved with her whole heart. I loved the introduction of the Russians in this book. I don’t know if we’ll see these new Russian friends in any of the following books but I hope so. As always, each of these books can be read as stand alones but you surely don’t want to miss meeting each of these brothers. So if you haven’t already, take a look at this series. I love it so much and I hope you do too.

“Dream as if you’ll live forever.
Live as if you’ll die tomorrow.”

***5 ‘Necessary’ Stars***

Rhenna Morgan hit it out of the park with this one, not that I expected any less personally, but DAMN does this baby pack a punch in all the right ways: Alpha AF male, strong AF female, smexy as hell moments and lots of laughs and family time with a nice dose of suspense that kept me turning the pages until the very end and had me pouting because there were no more words to read.

I will admit that I didn’t claim Knox right off the bat i.e. from the first time he appeared in Rough & Tumble (book 1) but he definitely made it on the radar in Wild & Sweet and was claimed via hashtag #KnoxIsMine long before Claim & Protect was done. And holy hell is this man EVERYTHING. He’s all kinds of sinfully smexy alpha AF male goodness, a little silly but still charming and then toss in the whole techy geek thing (which admittedly went over my head, but still…) and his huge...heart *BSEG* and I was done. Seriously...puddle of goo done.

Darya. I’ll be honest and say that going in I wasn’t all that interested in the woman that would bring Knox to his knees because...well...it’s Knox. But holy hell did Darya bring me to my knees. She is now on my Girl Crush list, which isn’t easy to do. The strength and determination this woman has is amazing and add in a golden heart and just how comfortable she was in her own skin, owning everything from her intellect to her sexuality, and you have someone I’d love to have in my own inner circle any day.

Their journey to their HEA was all kinds of fun. There were a few moments where I was all “Really? Really?” but as a whole the angst was low and the smexy was beyond nuclear. Seriously, have an ice bath or your B.O.B. (or man) ready to go, because Darya Knox are simply HAWT together! But outside of the smexy, they simply flowed well together and the best thing was how much they admired and respected each other’s brains and strength of will. There are a few things that pop up over the course of the book that make the road bumpy, but it all works out and I loved where they ended up.

As always, the writing was engaging and the pacing done very well, but as you know that while I love getting to know the MC’s better and experiencing their journey, I have a thing for keeping up with the cast of character that are apart of the MC’s lives, especially when those characters are apart of their family and Ms. Morgan gave me exactly what I needed. I got to catch up with everyone apart of Haven, the men, their women and the moms (who are AMAZING) and yet never felt like they took over the story, but instead added to it in the best way possible. This isn’t to say that my interest was diverted a time or two by them, I'm still waiting for Axel to fall because it's Axel, but Sergei is now on my list and I'm hoping to see more of him in the future. But in the meantime Beckett is up next and I'm thrilled that the woman who is going to bring him to his knees is Gia because she is badass!! So bring on Stand & Deliver!

Note: These can be read as standalones, but it's a lot more fun and satisfying if you read them in order.

Holy moly, what a ride! This was my first time reading Rhenna Morgan and I will definitely go back and check out her backlist. Great story I devoured in just inse sitting. Strong chemistry and great characters, main as well as side characters.
The one thing I struggled with a little and that pulled me out of the story was the at times too traditional gender roles. The women were always in the kitchen or cleaning up while the men had another beer. It may fit the characters but rubbed me the wrong way.

Tempted and Taken is a romance that continue on with this wonderful brotherhood that this author has gifted to us. There is something so unique about this brotherhood here, and I just love the way that this story just grabbed at my attention. I was super stoked because this is Knox’s story.

Now Knox is our resident nerd of the group and man he makes one sexy nerd. He is the brains behind their brotherhood and he keeps them so safe its almost on the brink of paranoia which is good because you never know what enemies you may have. Now Knox has an opportunity but one he isn’t sure if he should actually tackle. JJ is a woman he can’t resist with a russian drawl that gets him all bothered. When she comes to him looking for a job and to gain experience and learn from him, he is both curious and intrigued but also very cautious because he doesn’t know much about her and he knows that she is hiding some secrets and even running from someone.

What we see in this story is a heroine that is in serious distress. She is from Russia but she is on the run from someone who would carelessly kill and murder just to possess her. She has a new identity but from the moment she meets Knox, she wants more than just a fling, and she is drawn into this family of brotherhood, and we see her learning to take a leap of faith and trust in Knox and those he considers family. Knox has a bitter past when it comes to relationships. He was betrayed and refuses to enter into another relationship…until he meets J.J. and his world goes upside down.

I believe that what made their relationship so intriguing was see Knox turned around by our heroine. He honestly is unbalanced with her, and boy was quite fun to watch. I really liked how well they connect and work together and their chemistry is off the charts. And of course we get some plenty fun times with the family and brothers that had me laughing out loud more than once. We also get a introduction to a new character (maybe) and introduced to a russian mafia type group that I didn’t expect this author to bring in.

Overall Tempted and Taken is a tale of edgy passion, thrilling rides, an emotional rollercoaster that blends in sizzling chemistry and beautiful dynamics of a romance that is bound to have you on the edge!!!

BOOK BLURB

Live hard, f*ck harder and make their own rules. Those are the cornerstones the six Men of Haven bleed by: taking what they want, always watching each other's backs and loving the women they claim with unyielding tenderness and fierce passion.

There's no code Knox Torren can't break. He knows no limits when it comes to uncovering intel, especially on anyone who crosses his family. But a skip tracer with a sketchy history presents a puzzle he can't solve. When he finally meets the statuesque blonde with the intoxicating Russian accent, he'll try anything to unearth her secrets.

Darya Volkova has been living under an assumed identity for years. Searching for a job that will take her out of the dangerous life she's built, she has her sights set on Knox: the best hacker in the business. From their first meeting, though, something far more intimate than a professional connection develops.

Darya must overcome still-healing wounds to trust that Knox will take care of her in all the ways she needs. And Knox will do whatever it takes to make sure whatever—or whomever—she's running from never touches his woman again.

My Thoughts

With each new addition in this particular series, we learn something new about the members of The Haven Brotherhood. In this, the 4th book the focus is on Knox Torren. IT/Coding expert, savvy businessman and another sexy alpha male with commitment issues. These attributes when combined are lethal, but is there more to Knox than the obvious?

Our secondary focus is of course a newcomer to the series, the very sexy and tempting Darya. A woman with a past Darya hopes she has escaped and that it never catches up with her, but doesn’t ones past always catch up to them?

Knox has been fighting his demons and for years they have helped him keep intimacy away, until the day Darya Volkova strolls into his life wanting a mentor to teach her the ins and out of his specialty. The Russian beauty, posing as someone else, has already piqued his interest when she reached out with an email requesting to meet Knox to discuss a business proposition.

When the two meet fate of course steps in and they find that despite both of them having issues with a committed relationships neither one has an issue with a sexual relationship outside the workplace they end up sharing

The instant lust that Knox feels for Darya is unexpected, however it is the softer feelings that he has that cause him the most concern. For Knox it his immediate vow of keeping things professional between the two of them that is sorely tested early on. Of course Darya has other ideas, her efforts to seduce her target are of course rejected at first but the wow that happens when they work is worth her wait!

The journey that Darya and Knox take together in this 4th book is only enhanced of course when the rest of the Haven crew appear here and there.

As usual this story has so many emotionally gratifying elements that one cannot help but want this couples relationship to grow to it’s full potential. As that takes place the reader also cannot also help but be pleased to get a chance to check in on the first 3 pairings and see how they are managing.

Five sexy, geeky stars for Knox!

And Rhenna Morgan does it again, I'm blown away.
Well, who said tech-geeks aren't sexy as sin?
Knox was such a brilliantly, complex character and not to mention hot. When he claims a woman, he does it thoroughly!
When Knox receives an email from Darya, he immediately suspects that something is not completely kosher and after some advice from his Brother, he agrees to meet her.
Darya has her own secrets and desperately needs a better life and Knox is the man she is hoping will help her achieve that.

Rhenna really does know how to write a great book with equally great characters and plot.
This book has everything: Humor, suspense and a whole lot of heat.
