I thought that this book was well written and laid out. The scriptures and devotionals were very well grounded in the Word. The devotionals were indeed full of encouragement. However, as a mother of two boys, one of whom is 12, there was nothing in particular that stood out to me as being directly for boys. I would have liked the devotionals to have more of a tie in to what a boy in this age category could relate to, something going on in an 8-12 year old's world. That would be my drawback in recommending or purchasing it with the intention of gifting to someone with boys.

365 Encouraging Verses of the Bible For Boys is the companion to the girls' version of a similar title. I have a copy of that book for my girls and now this one for my son. This devotional is marketed toward 4th-6th grade boys (approximate ages 8-12). My son just turned 8 so I figured this would be perfect for him. Reading this devotional is a great way to begin or end each day. Each day includes a Scripture verse, a brief devotional geared toward boys, and a closing prayer. This is a perfect devotion to read to your boys and makes "Bible time" easy. Recommended!

Great for younger males in your life. Perfect to share in church, in your family or just to give them encouragement. The scriptures make for great Bible studies or verse-mapping.

I loved reading 365 Encouraging Verses for Boys with my son each night. It gave us a chance to focus on the attributes of God and focus our prayer time together. I look forward to purchasing this book for him for Christmas.

I was a little surprised by this book because it wasn't quite what I was expecting. While the content was great and biblicaly sound, there were no pictures at all. I figured that given it was a verses book for boys that there would be at least a little colour and maybe a few pictures.

There is still much to love about this book, starting with the bible verses that will encourage the young men in your life. These are written clearly at the top of the page and are related to the encouraging words from the writer and the prayer below it. I like the warmth of the font colour which is orange and found it quite easy on the eyes to read.

The scripture index in the rear of the book is a useful resource, particularly good because it is broken down into Old and New Testament and then in order of books of the bible. Overall it is a lovely resource, however with a few tweaks it would have been outstanding.

Wonderful and encouraging reading for everyday of the year. It is great to have from year to year too. It also opens up the words of the Bible in a new way.

I was very intereated in finding verses that will help boys, but after i looked through the book there is nothing special for boys. The verses and text is useful for everyone, boys, girls, men, women.
Even if the book is a good one, for me it lost the main purpose, to help boys.
