I loved this book! I always enjoy Colleen Hoover books and was so glad to read this one. I thought Merit was relatable and the overall plot was interesting. Colleen does it again!

Colleen is hands down one of my favourite author. The stories she writes grab your attention and hold you for the whole book. While this one wasn’t a favourite from her, it does bring forward an important and prevalent topic that needs more attention— mental health.

“Don’t make your presence known. Make your absence felt.”

I loved everything about this book. It's much lighter than IEWU and much darker than Slammed (or any other). And the characters in this story! So unique, so powerful, so imaginative.

Perfection, really.

Not my favorite book by Colleen. The plot kept me interested and was entertaining. Loved the odd trophy collection.

I love that every time I pick up a book from Colleen Hoover, it’s different than the last. She doesn’t have the same formula, but her writing is consistently strong and endearing. Without Merit is nothing like any of her other books. First of all, I wouldn’t classify this as a romance but more of a self discovery/coming of age tale.

Without Merit is a book that hooked me from the first page. Merit’s story was original, powerful, and addicting. I loved the family drama, the surprises, and the topics that Hoover brought to light. Even though there wasn’t a ton of romance, I really did adore the love interest. There were so many fantastic characters in this book! If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh, make you cry, make you feel, and one that’s heavy and light at the same time, and something that’s a little different, Without Merit is the book for you.

Loved this book! Colleen Hoover is the only author who's book I always pick up no matter the topic. I went into Without Merit blind and oh my god! I loved it. There were so many things happening, Merit was such a complex character with deep emotions. Plus I enjoyed the family connections and the secrets. So many secrets in one house, it was incredible! The plot was well developed, keeping me at the edge of my seat and always making me guess what's going to happen next and of course the big why. All in all, Colleen didn't disappoint and if you love her writing you should definitely read it.

A story that shows you just never know what’s going on with others. There’s a reason beyond what you see. And we have to believe in more than what’s in front of us. I love this author.

Not my favorite coho read but still a fun book! It’s quirky and different young adult/teen vibe. I love that coho can write such different books from the last book she wrote. Merit comes from a interesting family with secrets and merit is the secret keeper. This one doesn’t have a huge romance feel like most of cohos books but I liked it none the less.

Colleen Hoover is an amazing storyteller. It is a true gift. The Voss family, and it's dysfunction, held me captive with every word. I could care less if it's different from her other work. I crave something different, when sometimes, every book sounds the same as the next. I have never read about a family like this one, yet I empathized with each them. Merit seemed to be stuck, invisible, and caught in a web of lies. I really loved her quirkiness and the way she existed in her family dynamic. She was pretty much invisible at some times, which was heartbreaking. But, she was also the catalyst for change, that they all needed so badly. Another amazing story, and I will continue to look forward to any new release by Colleen Hoover.

This is one of those books that fills something that was missing inside of you, that you did not even know you were missing!! I loved this book so much!!

Colleen Hoover is an incredible author! Her way with words will suck you so deep into a story, you can't possibly put it down until you've consumed it all! Without Merit is a YA and tackles some deep issues with teens; sexual assault, suicidal thoughts. Seeing and feeling how Merit does and see her finding her way through the darkness was a treasure! While there is a guy, Sagan, in this YA romance, the HEA isn't Merit and Sagan...it's Merit and herself and family. It was a great story!

This book grabbed me from the first page and wrapped me up into the life of Merit with every word. I wish I could put into words the emotional Rollercoaster I went through while reading this, but I don't want to give away spoilers. I read this book in one day and each word pulled a piece of my heart onto the page. I highly suggest this book to anyone wanting to feel every emotion they have. It follows Merit's life and struggles as a late teen while she tries to find her footing in an unfair world.

Without Merit is yet another CoHo book that just sucks you right into the story, though at times it felt like it's too short it was still enjoyable enough. The book is less of a romance novel & more of a coming of age story/discovering yourself.

I enjoyed the theme behind this book. Colleen Hoover knows exactly how to pull readers in and keep them entertained throughout. I think the plot was very well laid out as well as the characters. Merit & her family were odd but extremely relatable. Even though topics depicted could be considered triggering for some readers, this is an important read. Merit learned how to deal with the relationships around her in various different ways/from different people in her life.

I really appreciate the chance to read these two chapters before I made my final decision to read this book. As always, Colleen Hoover gives the reader a deep and thought provoking story that I know I'll be thinking about for a long time to come.

Colleen NEVER fails to deliver. Once again she has given us a story with amazing characters! Characters that you will remember for a long time to come.

One thing I truly love about Colleen and her books, is that no book is ever the same. YOU always get something completely different and so very rare from her and her stories.

Kudo's Colleen you nailed it once again.

** spoiler alert ** I loved every single word in this book. I went in blind and it was the best way for me to read this book, because if I would have known the subjects in this book then it would've been so much harder to read it.

One of the subjects, maybe it was the main one, hit so close to me that I struggled in some points. It was hard to read, because I know all those feelings and clearly I was crying. I want to thank Colleen for writing about this, for letting people know little bit more. It's often missunderstood topic and quite frankly it can be very tiring to try explain why you are feeling like you currently are. Thank you for Colleen telling that we are all flawed in our own ways.

I loved the names that characters had. I loved how they behaved towards each other and how it was changing. I loved the tattoos and meanings behind them. I loved the drawings on it.
