A Second Christmas Wish is a must read.....especially if your having a tough time getting into the holiday spirit. This is one that you must read with a cup of hot cocoa, you guaranted to love this book. This is also a story about learning to trust again. Its not easy being in a loveless marriage, its even worse when you have a young son involved. Loved this and you will too. happy reading!!!

I'm giving this 3 stars because I thought it was good but not great. It was a little too stereotypical for me with a very predictable plot. It gave a nice Christmassy feeling though and I did like the main man!

Review: The is a book about a very real and modern tale. A mother's past is affecting the now and how she overcomes this. It is a story with family values at the heart of it with a romance all set at Christmas time. It is a lovely book full of Christmas spirit. I enjoyed it.

A lovely Christmas romance book which I really enjoyed.

It is a story of family, second chances and learning to trust again. It is heartwarming with believable characters. I was hooked into the story and it kept me interested throughout. I enjoyed the authors style of writing which gave the story an easy flow to read.

Perfect for a cosy afternoon on the sofa. I am looking forward to the next book from Kathryn Freeman.

I really enjoyed this story.

It was more than just a Christmas story. There was a lot going on with the characters with the backdrop of Christmas.

I liked that Melissa had a history. She seemed like a real person. It gave her a valid reason for not wanting to let anyone in.

The romance between Melissa and Daniel seemed real too. They were set up by his sister, and they fell in love quickly but it was very sweet to read.

William also grew as a character through the story. His letter to Santa reminded me of Miracle on 34th St, and you’ll just have to read the book to find out why!

This was a great Christmas story!

Liked the characters and story flow. Christmas is a great time to bring out characters with difficult backgrounds and issues. Christmas brings out the best in people. Trials and self reflection are interesting to read and how characters develop and grow along this journey. Would recommend.

I absolutely loved this book. It had just the right amount of romance, conflict and family values. Melissa was a fabulous heroine, the love for her son really came through and the hero of the story Daniel was perfect. A warming seasonal novel that gets you into that Christmas spirit. Looking forward to the next book by this author

I have not read a book by Freeman before but this will not be my last one. This is a sweet holiday story about finding the Christmas spirit and gaining faith in Santa.

When William, a 5 year old, is told by her own father at that Santa isn’t real the life of William and his mom, Melissa, is turned upside down. Jump two years later and William is starting to blossom after the devastation of his parents divorce.

Then Daniel comes onto the scene and not only falls for William but Melissa. When William writes to Santa asking for two things but will only discuss one the life of the three of them in again turned upside down… or is that right side up?

Great story with a great message. William breaks my heart but also makes me fall in love with Christmas all over again.

Okay,so this isn't my usual type of book - I just wanted to read a Christmas-themed book. I didn't like it very much because it was so predictable - but I suppose that's what most of these Christmas books are like. I guessed the ending very early on and couldn't wait to finish it and move on. That said, it's not badly written and I think a lot of people will like it - but it wasn't for me.

I always enjoy Ms. Freeman’s books and this one is no exception. Former model, Melissa is divorced from her controlling ex-husband and determined never to risk her heart again for her own sake and that of her son William. Christmas is a difficult time for them both because Melissa has no fond childhood memories of the festive season and her ex ruined Christmas for their son with his cold behavior. Everything begins to change when she takes her shy son for tennis lessons and Daniel, her best friends’ brother comes into their lives. Her teenage crush on the ex-professional player stirs again and the attraction is mutual. Daniel is drawn to help William gain self-confidence and hopes to make the young boy and Melissa believe in the magic of Christmas and the power of love. Festive without being overly sweet this is a perfect Christmas read.

This was a gentle, enjoyable read. The plot elements are common to the genre of romance, but they are crafted together with details that drew me in and kept me wanting more. I thought I knew where things were headed and I wasn't wrong, but that didn't make the journey any less enjoyable for me. Lead and secondary characters are fleshed out with emotional motivations that drive their actions. They may not always be likable, but they are consistent with who they are. I enjoyed seeing the leads grow into more emotionally mature individuals as spending time together grew their relationship.
I voluntarily read an advanced review copy provided by the publisher via Netgalley. I offer my honest opinion in return.

A now single mother who has a young child, meets her sons sports coach, and falls for him. The twists and tangles of a new relationship and the addition of Christmas and whether Father Christmas still exists. A lovely gentle story, just right to read curled up in a chair in front of the fire. I really enjoyed this.

This is a lovely Christmas romance. Melissa is a single mum, her son William is a shy introverted boy. Melissa was a model and is now a designer of women's clothing. Melissa is introduced to Daniel, her friends brother, who is a tennis coach. William takes tennis lessons and really likes Daniel. The attraction between Melissa and Daniel is instant. Can she let her guard down to love again? Read on.
