Amazing....I so love how we get such strong female leads as well as the male. You don't come across many books where you get to see the females kick butt right along side the men. I love Mary "Edge". She's smart and such a strong character. I love how she never let the badass men push her around. Dylan he is her perfect match and just what Mary needed to recover. The Mason family as a whole is a strong tight net badass family. I wouldn't want to mess with any of them. When you meet the members of Hive and as Riley calls the ladies the Pentagon you get amazingly strong kickass women. I love how the ladies join forces with the men of Arsenal. Jagged Edge is an amazing action pact read with a great romance. It's emotional and packs a heck of a punch. As a first book for me of Cara Carnes I was blown away by it. She gave me everything I could hope for. I can't wait to see how her other books unfold. I will be going back for more.

This is the first book I've read by Ms. Carnes, and I am so glad I took a chance on this author. I completely lost myself in this riveting, suspenseful story that begins a new series. I was delighted to find such a strong, intelligent female lead in Mary "The Edge" Reynolds. She is a perfect match for Dylan, and the circumstances that put her in a vulnerable enough situation to need him are realistic and well written. This is one of those books where I wish I had discovered it after the whole series was complete so that I could binge. As it is, Ms. Carnes won't be able to write the other books fast enough for me! The anticipation is going to be torturous. There are so many strong secondary characters in this book, from Dylan's brothers and sister to Mary's team, that I know that the remaining stories will captivate me just as much as this one did. And I look forward to reappearances by Dylan and especially Mary in future books, where I hope to see Mary take down the bad guys in a way only she and Vi can.

I will mention that there were times in the book, especially early on, where I felt a little lost, like maybe I had missed something. I even went back once to see if this perhaps wasn't the first book in the series. Turns out, it all came together in the end, and I understood some of the earlier perceived "holes." I did notice some grammar issues that will hopefully be taken care of during a final proofread before publication, but I'm super-sensitive to such things, and the issues weren't so distracting that they lessened my enjoyment of the story.

I thought this was a great book. It covers some intense situations that make you realize how important true friendship really is. At the beginning Mary has trouble realizing that she is more than just her nickname Edge she is a person, but with the entrance of the group called the Arsenal may change that. This book was very well written and I cannot wait to read more. Thank you NetGalley and Cara Carnes for allowing me to read this book and write a honest review.

I loved this book. It had everything I like in a book. A new love, betrayal, and some great action. Mary had been captured and tortured, rescued by Dylan. Dylan was attracted to her immediately, but Mary had no self esteem and couldn't believe anyone would love her. It was fun watching her blossom. Mary and her best friend Vi were a team that wrote a program that helped missions for military type alpha guys. Dylan was part of this group along with his 5 brothers. (More stories to come?) Great story. This is a book I will pick up and read again.
