So this book took every cliche from pregnancy and decided it was funny and unique... It is pretty shallow and just a preggo pity party... Super mainstream and I bet others eat it all up (I am not mainstream... I'm more the "crunchy" type of mom), but it is so negative...

And the characters aren't interesting. Jeff is too good and doesn't seem to have much personality. Except the stereotypical guy on occasion (his childhood bedroom sounded so lame, and his insistence that the baby was a boy was rritating).

This felt... off. Like it was someone just sharing their... well, not actual experience. But that mixed with cliches, stereotypes, and internet memes. Very, very sitcom-ish. Lots of suspending of disbelief.

BIRTHQUAKE came to me at the perfect time! I was in a major book funk, nothing was catching my attention, and I needed something to pick me up...
.
It is hilarious, over the top (in a good way), maybe a little predictable, but totally relatable whether or not you're a mom.

What a wonderful sweet book!!!! This is a book that as you read it it may remind you of situations that you have been through or someone you know has. This is a fun read that I recommend. Characters are very easy to connect with and will make you laugh out loud with their quips. I normally do not go for the romance genre (sorry), but am very glad I was able to read this adorable book. Great job to the author!!!! Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this wonderful book in return for my honest review.

Loved this book! Henley and Jeff were the right mix of adorableness and awkwardness put together! This is a romantic comedy with very little angst but very real world problems. I commend B.L. Berry for writing a realistic book that deals with pregnancy and the ins and outs of life afterwards.

This was definitely a laugh out loud, feel good book.

Thank you for the opportunity of reviewing it.

I think this book was just not for me. Normally I love a baby story and throw in two funny BFFs and it should be perfect. My issue was the prologue set this up as a romance, but it quickly turned into chick lit. I was excited to read a funny, cheeky story about an unplanned pregnancy. This was more like a snarky take on What to Expect. The humor was good, but it felt like the author was trying just too hard to be funny. There were times when it was genuine, but most of the time it felt forced. I wanted to like this, but it just fell flat for me.

I Rate this book 2 Stars
Thank you Publisher and Author

I Honest thought it was gonna me a great read, because the Synopsis got to me. But I was bored and the Humor gaggingly annoying because more than half seemed forced and way too much.

I have had a good time reading this book,it was extremely sweet with some good humour thrown between the pages.

Henley and Jeff love story begins with a chance encounter on a plane, it is love at first sight and what happens next is history...I don't want to ruin this novel for you so I'll keep this short and I recommend it to all the people that want to read something funny and lovely without ant major drama.

Birthquake was the first book I've read written by this author but her writing was so nice I want to catch up with her previous works.

I absolutely loved reading this book. I expected a light romantic love story, not a laugh-until-you-are-crying-type of book---Which I LOVED!!
Five stars all the way.

Henley and Jeff meet when Jeff ends up as the last passenger on the plane due to his slumbering away and hitting the snooze button one too many times. His punishment is almost missing his flight and ending up with the last seat available, the one sandwiched between an overweight man and a pretty woman. He starts babbling away about any random thing to get her talking because he's so nervous it's kinda of cute. She not only has a quick comeback for each and every thing he says, she understands him. How can a 90 minute flight change both of their lives forever?? Well...you just have to wait and read it for yourself!!

I LOVED reading this book, I don't think that I have ever laughed so hard while reading a romantic comedy.

A must read!!

Very humerous look at pregnancy and motherhood. I loved Jeff, and I think I loved the parts in his voice best. While I liked he book, sometimes Henley was just a little too much for me to take, almost a caricature rather than a character. Despite that I really enjoyed this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed Birthquake by B.L. Berry. It is a well-written novel, with richly developed characters that are authentic, compassionate, and very likable. The prologue captured my attention immediately, and as a result, I read this book from cover to cover in less than a day. The synopsis is a real teaser, yet it is only a small part of what Birthquake is truly about.

The two main characters are kindergarten teacher Henley Carson, and Jeff Carrington, a software engineer. They meet while sitting together on a flight traveling from Kansas City to Denver. There is an instant spark, which evolves into friendship, desire, and true love. After a few months of dating, Henley and Jeff share a lustful moment during Jeff's brother's wedding reception. Weeks later Henley finds out she is pregnant, and the nine month adventure begins.

Ms. Berry packs a lot of humor into this ingenious love story and I really liked the way she brought about and maintained Henley and Jeff's loving relationship. Whenever an outlandish video goes viral or a bunk bed collapses, I will think of this book. Overall, this is well-written and entertaining romance that twists and turns in all the right places.

Jeff met Henley on a plane. As they talked they found out they both lived in Kansas City. Jeff is a software engineer and Henley is a sixth grade teacher. Jeff can’t seem to say a full normal sentence to Henley he just gets tongue tied or what he is trying to say comes out wrong. Jeff does manage to ask Henley out and she told him to call when they both get back to Kansas City her and gives him her number. Henley’s best friend is Tara. Tara was married and had triplets who were toddlers. She also had a very quirky way of saying things. Then before she knows it Henley and Jeff have been seeing each other for almost five months. Tara knows how hard it is for Henley to open up about her relationships. Henley has been a lot more guarded since Her ex Leo and Henley broke up. Jeff asks Henley to his brother’s Chris’s wedding. At the same time Henley could meet Jeff’s family. Then Henley finds out Jeff comes from a rich family and is even more nervous. After Chris’s wedding Henley finds out she is pregnant but Jeff is very sweet and they are both happy and excited about the baby even if they haven’t been together that long. Henley knows she has hit the jackpot for boyfriends. The relationship has its hurdles but Jeff and Henley but Jeff and Hanley are sure of their love for each other.
I absolutely adored this story. I have children so I remember the pregnancies and births and the time right after. This was very realistic as fas as I am concerned. This had regular situation and emotions pregnant women can go through. This made me laugh out loud a lot and that is very rare for me but very good and doesn’t happen very often. This was well written and a heartwarming fun read. I loved how Tara was there for Henley. Everyone should have a Tara as a best friend in their life. I absolutely love Jeff and Henley together right from the beginning. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.

I found the book funny, but I also found that is stalled or go-on a bit too much. It was great half-way through, but then I was ready to get the story going. I just got bored with it and found myself reading only the dialogue because it wasn't moving at a fast enough pace for me. I still found it funny and liked it well enough to give it 4 stars, but I felt it needed a bit of a pacing edit.

For the life of me I couldn't get emotionally involved in this book. Don't get me wrong there were funny moment and I loved when Leo showed up but the rest of it was just ok.

There are books that you read that you fall in love with instantly and this is one of them. As I read this book oh my god did I cry; I was seriously holding my sides, had tear falling down my cheeks crying from laughing so darn hard. There is not one thing I hated about this book from the amazing first awkward meeting between Henley and Jeff until the final page. One of the things that I really thought added to the story was Henley's blunt balls to the wall best friend, showing her what friendship and love is. Thank you NetGalley and BL Berry for allowing me to read the ARC of this awesome book and writing a honest review.

Truly pinkish funny fairytale

Ok, so this one was really easy. Two guys meet on a plane, fall in love in a second and then they're having a baby. It's sweet, super funny, like really laughing and rolling on the floor funny and there's no major drama or bullshit. The book is basically about the struggles of pregnancy, their relationship and how to deal with everything changing.

<blockquote><b>"Oh, hey! Remember that time I lost my Spanx when we decided to play hide the pickle during your brother's wedding reception? Well, your pickle juice was potent and now we're in one giant ass jam since I'm knocked up." </b></blockquote>

I really enjoyed reading it, it relaxed me big time and made me laugh so many times.
I gave it 4 stars, just because I usually love a book that keeps me from putting it down. The kind of book you read in one sitting, giving it all my attention. Well, that's not the case with Birthquake, but it's well written and I'm happy I was given the chance to review it. Even if I had not received the ARC, I would have bought it myself, no doubt about it.
