When Christine's grandmother dies she leaves Christie an old abandoned cottage on the railway tracks and while Christie is going through it she finds some old love letters and a damaged painting. Her boyfriend Derek wants her to forget about them, sell the cottage and bank the cash but Christie can't bring herself to do that she needs to know more about those letters!

Martin is an artist who likes to keep himself to himself and when not painting being out on a surfboard so when Christie turns up on his doorstep with questions about an old painting he is not best pleased!

A great story with lots of family secrets to unravel a pageturner that I couldn't put down

Christie's grandmother has died and the funeral is just as her fiance, Derek has made reservations for them to go on vacation. He is not happy she is going to the funeral and he goes without her on holiday. Derek is very controlling but Christie does not seem to notice it. Christie inherits a cottage from Gran near the old railroad tracks with some secrets Christie wants to find out more about but there is Derek wanting her to sell and forget it. Can she find the strength to see what Derek is about and that she needs to get out on her own. Then there is Martin who she can't seem to stay away from but doesn't realize his part in the secrets and the mystery she has decided to solve. A truely great read.
