I am loving this series. It has been a while since I have read really good erotica. Lynda Aicher is writing a story that will take your breath away and overwhelm your senses. It was amazing how the storyline intertwined with the sex seamlessly. You couldn’t have one without the other. She’s mastered the art of an erotic sex scene that makes you feel like you are part of the scene. Why? Because she has a way of dragging you right into it. I am looking forward to see who is next in The Boardroom.

When Avery stumbles into a smoking hot sex scene in her company's boardroom, she doesn't know what to think or feel. Shocked? Sure. The office was supposed to be empty. Turned on? Okay... that's new, but yes. Jealous because she wishes she was a part of the scene. That's also new and tempting. I really loved all of the lovely consent and sex positivity in this story. I loved how conventions were challenged. I loved how the sex was so steaming hot and kinks weren't shamed in any way.

Passionate romance in the boardroom…

This author knows how to pluck the passion heartstrings. This world of desire and heat is controlled completely by the men and women who occupy them. Avery yearned to enter this world and Carson was only too happy to help her. Coming together, within the rules those walls dictate, was all about admitting inner desires and watching, feeling them, play out. It was intense and passionate yet the story didn’t pull me in the way I wanted it to. The story was well-written and the characters interesting but something (and I’m not sure what) kept from enjoying it the way I wanted to. Perhaps my mood as this author is one of my favourites. While this read may have not been my favourite that won’t stop me from grabbing the next in the series.

Not what I expected. Not at all. But that is in the most positive way. This one surprised me. I liked it a lot. Well written story with a nice storyline and plot. I like that the characters and how they develop. A passionate and emotional read with twists. Enjoyable and recommendable.

Carson isn’t looking for any sort of relationship, and he’s clear to Avery that it’s just an opportunity for them to explore the voyeurism they both enjoy. Though Avery is scared and half-ashamed, she’s never let fear rule her actions, and eventually she agrees, starting a ridiculously steamy exploration of her desires.

This is, at heart, an extra-steamy office romance, a trope that can go either way for me. When the consent issues are well-done, like they are here, it’s pure catnip to me. The book doesn’t shy away from the fact that there’s a power differential between the two (Avery is an assistant to another executive at the company), and there are no easy answers for either character. Both characters also deal with their own roadblocks to having a relationship. Carson is extremely anti-relationship, due to incidents in his past, and resists categorizing his feelings for her for as long as possible. Avery, on the other hand, though she tries to work through it, is ashamed of her desires, well-aware of the dual sexual standards for men versus woman. She can’t resist the need that draws her to Carson, however, and the heady powerful feeling she gets from taking ownership of her desires. These two are perfect for each other, and the sexual chemistry between them and the slow development of their relationship was wonderful.

Other than the main relationship, the pacing was perfect and the secondary characters were well-developed and interesting. There were several that I would love to see have their own book! Overall, I think this is a great first entry in the series, and I will definitely be picking up the second! Highly recommended if you’re looking for an office romance that explores empowering sexuality and navigates consent issues with a deft touch!

I've never read anything by this author and now I wonder why not. I liked the two main characters and the story was very hot (unexpectedly so). This was a great start to a really hot series, hopefully there will be more to come..

This book was pretty good. There were a few times in the story that I was not sure what I was going to read. This was a fast, sexy, read that had a pretty good character development and plot. What happens in the boardroom stays in the boardroom , or does it always?

This the first book I have read by Lynda Aicher and it won’t be my last , After Hours is book 1 in The Boardroom and what a great start this book is to the new series.
The Boardroom is where Bay Area moguls indulge in their fantasies, it’s where inhibitions go out the window and it’s where executive Carson gets his kicks. Assistant Avery Fast is working late one night and goes into what she thought was a empty boardroom only to find it occupied by Carson and a couple living out their fantasies, she freezes, she can’t look away and she finds herself getting hot as hell, what follows is Carson doing what he has to do to get Avery in on the action because he not only wa ts her he needs her......
This book is seriously hot, the chemistry between the characters is sizzling and the plot is interesting, Im looking forward to book 2 and I can’t wait to see what executive we meet next in The Boardroom. I will also be checking out other books by this author.

This was totally different from what I was expecting and I enjoyed it from the moment I started this story, it was captivating and the unusual way Avery & Carson’s relationship started in the Boardroom. The undeniable chemistry between these two characters was off the charts . Both of them came with their own set of issues. This is a beautiful story of two kindred souls that are desperately seeking not only each other but absolution. This is the first book I have read by Lynda Aicher and definitely will not be my last book . I realized this book is a part of series, I purchased the first part to read since I enjoyed this very much. Will definitely be reading more of this talented author. This was a very steamy read. I loved the boardroom scenes, and the dynamic of the group of people meeting for illicit affairs, after hours in empty boardrooms of office buildings. The thrill of possibly being caught in the act and the idea of someone walking into the boardroom after hours was thrilling! Even the actual scenes in the boardroom where our main characters watched other couples engage intimately was a very sexy and fun story.

Our main leading lady, Avery, had some sexual hang-ups. Brought up in a very vanilla household, the notions she has on acceptable sex leave her torn between what she feels is right and what she really wants. Her inner turmoil is expected, I felt for her when she felt she was judged by other "boardroom" members in her work environment when she would encounter them during daily tasks. Coming to terms with them not judging her or being judged by her, Avery does come out of her shell. I found her getting upset with Carson about not disclosing all aspects of joining the Boardroom activities a bit over the top, and felt like she was being very irresponsible for her own actions! Carson didn't bend her arm to do the scenes. Sure, omitting details can be equal to lying, but in this case, I felt like her blaming others wasn't truly warranted and Carson having to grovel ended up annoying me! The book had some issues with over detailing daily living, such as walking into a coffee shop or picking out Avery's clothes. It caused me to do some skimming, but the meat of the story kept me going and overall, I enjoyed the book.

This is formally the first book in the series, but there is a 0.5 book called Done Deal, which I would highly recommend you read first. It sets out the basis of the Boardroom and introduces the main players.

In this story Avery gets an unexpected introduction to the Boardroom, but finds that her interest is most definitely piqued. The problems are twofold – how it will affect her work place relationships and how will she overcome her conservative upbringing? Oh, and maybe a third, how can she keep it to just about sex when she definitely has nascent feelings for Carson, the man who is offering her the chance to visit again.

A super-hot, not too intense, but certainly extremely sexy story with some lovely changes in pace, which are inspired. I am really curious to see how this continues to develop, and hopefully we will get more of this couple.

This book was not what I expected. Reading the synopsis, I was expecting way more sex and I was expecting kinky sex at that. Nothing wrong with that, but what I got was as story about two people who embark on a sexual relationship and fall in love.

Aside from the love story and changing relationship between Avery and Carson, I think my favourite part of the story is watching Avery coming to terms with her sexuality. She is enjoying immensely watching scenes in the Boardroom and her sexual relationship with Carson, but is terrified of people finding out what she enjoys. Because she judges herself, she is assuming everyone else is judging her. She has to learn to come to terms with what she wants.

I loved the mix of sexy story, love story, and emotions in After Hours. It even moved me to tears. After Hours is a really good story and I’m hoping we get more stories from The Boardroom soon.

The second instalment to The Boardroom series, this story is hot, sexy and will appeal to the those who enjoy reading BDSM with a romantic twist. Shy assistant Avery Fast is turned on and enthralled by the sexy antics in the company boardroom where she works. A hot and sexy book, but the main characters do become romantically involved which gives the book another stronger element as they have to deal with all the implications of the 'boardroom' and working together. This seems to becoming another great series from Lynda Aicher.

When I first came across the blurb for After Hours, I knew immediately that I needed this book in my hands. Then I read Done Deal and I was hooked. The prequel novella was sexy and I knew After Hours would be scouring hot. Holy Bananas, it friggin' did not disappoint. Not only was it hot as hell, it was also well written with characters that I loved. They were both lovable and so deeply wounded. Yum!

Avery Fast grew up thinking sex was something to keep hidden away in the bedroom. It should always be vanilla and missionary. She always desired something more, but was afraid of what others would think of her. When she accidentally walks in on the Boardroom, Avery finally has an outlet for expressing her desire. And when Carson agrees to let her join, her world starts to explode in sensual technicolor.

In the Boardroom, Carson was always the observer. Only when he's with Avery does the temptation get the better of him. With Avery, his firmly built control crumbles and he's lost in her. With Avery, Carson learns how to love. She's opened his world and his heart and shows him what he's missing.

I loved Carson and Avery together. Their chemistry and sexual tension was off-the-charts. As sexy as they are, they also teach each other that what they want is okay. Carson shows Avery that it's okay to explore her sexuality and nobody will judge her. And in return, Avery shows Carson something his own parents couldn't... That it is okay to love and trust someone.

After Hours was everything I wanted and so much more. I loved the idea of the Boardroom. Heroes in suits are my kryptonite so that right there already got me hooked. It was sexy, which is something Lynda Aicher does well. I loved the kinky elements. Heck, I just loved this book from cover to cover. Please tell me Trevor's book is next. I can't wait.

4-4.25 stars. This was really good. This is Carson and Avery's story. Avery works for the same large company as Carson, but not in his department. He is one of the higher-up managers and Avery is a mere assistant. They have both thought each other attractive but never really had a reason to interact. One night, Avery is working late and she stumbles upon a sexy menage scene in one of the conference rooms. She is turned on and intrigued and is caught peeping by Carson, who is in the hallway. She runs away, but she can't stop thinking of that night and Carson can't stop thinking about her reaction. So Carson invites her to meet him and he tells her about The Boardroom, which is an organization where people meetup to participate in or watch prearranged sexy scenes together. He offers to introduce her to the world of voyeurism with him. The two begin a sexy relationship that leads to them falling in love.

I really liked the sexy, mysterious vibe of this book. The voyeurism aspect was very hot. There is no sharing or thoughts of sharing outside of their relationship. I liked Carson and Avery. They both were very intrigued and fixated on each other from the first night they met outside the boardroom. Once they got to know each other and started to fall for each other, they fit really well together. Carson especially was very sweet in how he adored Avery. It is a very sexy story, but there is also some very sweet and emotional moments. I liked that Avery discovered herself through opening up to her sexuality. She really blossomed and became more confident in all aspects of her life. The story was pretty serious and somewhat angsty. I liked that, but it could have used a few lighter moments to balance out the drama. I wanted a bit more happy times together after the big conflict at the end and a further glimpse into the future. Still, I did really enjoy Avery and Carson's sexy, love story. This was my first book by Ms. Aicher, but it won't be the last. I'm curious about the other members of the Boardroom and I see an opportunity for more stories there, as well.

I love Lynda Aicher's writing style and after having experienced her super sexy Wicked Play series set in a BDSM club, I hoped she'd deliver something just as exciting here and she definitely did! The angst is minimal, there are no deep dark secrets or traumatic backgrounds, just a man who was burned in a relationship wary of starting something new and a woman discovering a whole new level to her sexuality. It definitely starts on a steamy note with Avery stumbling onto the boardroom scene and the subsequent scenes are just as hot.

The honest discussions that happen between Avery and Carson cover the gamut from the security involved for the men and women involved in the Boardroom to Avery's challenge to accept that she doesn't have to feel guilty for exploring her sexual desires. Carson might have the alpha male persona that got him his executive position and has him calling the shots in the boardroom, but he also has quite a sweet side too. He falls for Avery pretty fast (even if he is reluctant to admit it to himself) and the idea of her having playdates with someone other than him make him feel pretty possessive. He makes some choices that he has to answer to later, and Avery makes some mistakes too. In the end they find the compromise needed to restore their trust in each other and there is a lovely happy ending to this steamy romance. I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for more in this series!

I was not sure what I was going to get with this book. But it was pretty much a love story with just a different angle on how 2 people meet. I liked how Avery became more aware of herself throughout the book. It was good and I would read more by this author.

This is this first book in this series by this author. This is definitely one hot and steamy read. The characters are well written and there interaction works perfectly. This is a erotica read which will set the pages alight as you read. The story is well written and flows nicely. I can't wait for more in this series by this author.
