Keep Her Safe is such an intriguing and captivating story!!! The web of lies, deceit, and secrets that are revealed will keep you guessing all the way through.

I won’t be talking too much about the storyline because this is a story that needs to unfold as you read it. Keep Her Safe is K.A. Tucker’s newest standalone novel. It is told in Dual POV and it unfolds in both present time and past flashbacks. I loved how she wrote this story.

This was a different side to K.A. Tucker’s writing. I felt this book was definitely darker than anything else she has ever released. The only thing I felt that was kind of unfinished was the ending. Don’t get me wrong the story is complete and there is NO Cliffhanger, but I just wanted more from the ending. Maybe an epilogue a year down the road.

I have always enjoyed reading Ms. Tucker’s books and this was no different. I love that she continues to give us original and unique storylines and characters you can’t help but fall in love with. Keep Her Safe was the perfect mix if suspense and drama with just enough romance to fill your heart also. I think Noah and Grace are probably my two favorite characters that she has given us. They come from different worlds but actually are very similar. Grace is such a strong and sassy heroine and Noah was just perfect in my head. I think you will want to meet these two characters.

K. A. Tucker’s books are so well written, that you can’t help but feel like you are swept away into their worlds.

So if you are looking for that romantic suspense novel that will captivate you and suck you into the story, this is the book you should read. If you are a fan of Ms. Tucker’s writing than don’t miss this latest gem of a story. You won’t believe how it all unravels!!!!

e-Arc received from NetGalley for free but in no way influences my review.

K.A. Tucker does it again! Keep Her Safe is a wonderful romantic suspense. I love that there was a slow build between the two characters as opposed to them jumping into a relationship. The twists and turns were well done. I had my suspicions in the beginning, and while they were right the story still fleshed out well and the big a-ha moment is not what I had expected it to be.

I love that Grace was a flawed character. She wasn't some over the top pretty, has everything kind of heroine. She was feisty and strong. Noah was charismatic, caring, and I love that he was so willing to help Grace get to the truth, even if it compromised his family.

4.5/5 stars

K.A. Tucker is one of my favorite authors. So I was very excited to get to read her latest book.

Keeping Her Safe is a standalone novel. The author describes the book as an intense suspense story with a genuine deep-rooted romance. And unlike any other book that she's written.

I guess if I had to choose a genre to put this book in I would say romantic suspense. Romance is definitely featured in this book. Although to me the mystery/suspense aspect of the story is more prevalent.

The main narrators are Noah (25) and Grace (20). There are also some POVs from the past: Noah's mom Jackie (Police Chief) and Grace's dad Abe (police officer). It was interesting to get some insight into the past. But I found it unusual that the reader was learning things from these chapters that the narrators did not know.

A lot of the story takes place in Austin Texas. Noah lives in Austin. The Austin Police Department plays a very big part in this story.

Grace lives in Arizona in a trailer park with her mom who is constantly on drugs. Her dad died 14 years ago.

To be honest it took me a few chapters to really get into this book. When I started I could not figure out what the story was about. But by 15% the book started getting a lot better for me.

The book is about uncovering the truth. Noah and Grace team up to try to discover the truth about what happened 14 years ago. Her father Abe was killed. But there is much more to the story. There are so many secrets and lies. It is difficult for Noah and Grace to know who to believe and trust.

I really liked both Noah and Grace. Noah was polite and kind. Abe was his mentor. Grace had such a tough life. She was sassy and full of spunk. I really enjoyed reading about them trying to solve this mystery. And the dog, Cyclops was the funniest thing ever!

There were lots of interesting characters including: Grace's mom Dina, Noah's Uncle Silas the District Attorney, former Police Chief Canning, and FBI agent Klein.

The mystery was really good. By halfway it was getting so interesting that I did not want to put the book down. I was hoping that the story would be full of twists and turns. And I was not disappointed.

There were definitely a bunch of shocking discoveries in this book. And I really liked the story. I just wanted more from the romance. I loved the couple. I just wish that the romance aspect had been addressed earlier in the book (there is hardly any romance in the first half of the story).

I am a big fan of the suspense/thriller genre. So I was thrilled to see so much suspense in this book. And even though I wanted more romance in the story, I was very invested in the romantic aspects of this book. Noah is going to be on a lot of Book Boyfriend lists.

Overall the last half of the book was the strongest to me. And the end was really good. It took me a little bit to become invested in the story. But once I was I could not put this book down. Does this feel like a K.A. Tucker book? Not exactly. There is a bit less focus on romance. And more focus on the mystery to be solved. That said the romance was strong. But I wish that there had been more of it. But wow the ending was intense. What a captivating story!

K.A. Tucker knows how to write a story that can both make you swoon over and have a book slump after! "Keep her safe" is a story of corruption, police investigations and scorching romance. Not to mention that it also tackles social issues like prejudice against women, human trafficking, and drugs.

Noah and Gracie make a really sweet, challenging duo. United against a common cause and with the growing feelings for each other, they sure know how to get in trouble. I seriously didn't expect some truths to be revealed and while the book had me sitting on the edge, I really also loved the dialogue and the banter between them.

The alternating POVs through the novel offered a nice break in the storyline making it even more engaging. Noah sure was adorable, without being an alpha, kind and polite. Gracie may be more on the wild, more head-strong side but she was smart and strong enough to withstand everything that came in her way.

I would love to see K.A. Tucker writing more mystery because it sure suits her very much!

Keep her safe is a must read. K.A. Tucker takes this novel out of the contemporary romance genre and makes it a murder, mystery, thriller story. Keep Her Safe has to be one of my favorites so far. She creates a world of secrets and slowly unravels them one by one, all the way to the end.
This is a great novel to start with if your new to K.A. Tucker's books or if your a fan of the burying water series. This novel covers subjects that could be recommended for a mature audience due to some of the topics involved.
I only have good things to say about Keep Her Safe. It's a novel that you can't put down and I'm already ready to read it again.

This book. This book was so good. Tucker is a go to now for suspense. Romantic or not. This was a great mystery with a bit of romance but the romance was not the focus. I absolutely loved it.

Watch out, everybody! Romantic suspense has a new queen, Tucker totally nailed it with Keep Her Safe. There are ugly secrets, dirty cops, a beautiful love story, and some incredibly difficult decisions to make.
