This was just meh for me. It wasn't bad but it didn't pull me in and I don't feel the need to continue with the story.

This book was not my cup of tea, the plot sounded promising enough and caught my attention but i felt the book didn't deliver

I enjoyed this book and I wish that we could have seen some of the interactions between Chessie and Nick before he sells his company so he can be with her. I enjoyed the book but I didn't like how he took her to the club on their first date and played those tricks on her. I think that other readers will like that scene, but it wasn't for me.

Note: this book is for 18+ and includes sexual content

Chessie Lane is Nick Tarantino's assistant and they have been wanting each other the last 3 years. Nick does not mix business with pleasures. Chessie does not believe in herself and she allows herself only to fantasize him.

Everything changes when Nick sells his enterprise and on his last day at the office he sends her an anonymous invitation bringing her fantasies into life. Nick after watching her for years he is confident that she could be an ideal submissive and so he introduces her into the BDSM lifestyle. However, he is so into her that he is willing even to drop the BDSM lifestyle, but Chrissie seems to enjoy it.

A romantic BDSM story with many erotically hot scenes and a happy ending.

This was the first book I have read by this author and needless to say it won’t be the last. This was a very easy read book. Very good 📚!

Chessie is a very “normal” woman who has been secretly in love with her gorgeous boss Nick since she started working for him. Well little did she know that he had secret feeling for her too. Once Nick sells the company all is fair game since he is no longer her boss. He shows her things that she has only dreamed about and makes all her fantasies and then some come true.

This is one smoking hot read, it sucked me in right from the very start and I could not put it down.Chessie has been in love with her boss Nick for years but after years of being not, she is not good enough from her mother she now believes it, what she does not know is that the only reason he has never acted on his feelings for her was company policy. When he is able to act on his feeling Nick goes after the woman he loves.I just loved these two characters you cannot help but love Nick and my heart broke at times for Chessie no one deserves a mother like hers.I would recommend this book to all I just loved it

Office romance?  Not with Nick Tarantino....he has a strict policy against mixing business with pleasure.  His administrative assistant who has been with him for several years is secretly in love with him and has been pining away for him since she came to work with him.  Now he's sold his company and she will never have a chance at love with him.  Then a mysterious envelope appears on her desk.  When she responds to the note by doing what it says, here life changes forever.  It changes in ways she never imagined they actually would, even though it has been her fantasy since she first laid eyes on the gorgeous man.
The world of BDSM has recently received great attention due to the books and movies in the Fifty Shades series.  This book did include much of that element.  The story of Chessie and Nick was very exciting and sexy and it was hard to put my kindle down.  I felt the ending was rushed and the relationship between the two characters changed overnight.   (Warning: Sexual Content)
I am rating this book 4 stars.
I received an ebook of this novel from netgalley and Totally Bound in exchange for an honest review.

This was a good read.
I had a hard time getting into it
But once I did I enjoyed it

Although scorching hot sex is plentiful in Ms. Holland's book, the book itself fell a little flat for me. Still an enjoyable read in the Surrender series.

A brilliant BDSM romp that will be a pleasure for most nearly all who like this romantic genre. Although some bits are unrealistic and overblown, it still reads smoothly with a fast pace that will leave you breathless.

Review for this Shameless Surrender

I voluntarily read a copy of this book provided by NetGalley for a fair and honest review. Chessie has worked for Nick Tarantino for almost four years. Today is Nick’s last day as CEO of Tarantino Investments. At the close of business he will walk out the door and out of Chessie’s life. Chessie pines for this man, he is her every dream come true but to him she is just his personal assistant. Her friends try endlessly to build up Chessie’s low self esteem that her mother worked hard to make sure she had. But to no end, men like Nick Tarantino didn’t even look at women like Chessie let alone see them. After refusing to take her friends advice to at least ask Nick to go out for a farewell drink, office bitch Constance makes sure she hammers home any notion that Chessie may have that Nick could possibly be interested in a plain Jane woman like Chessie. When an appointment, that Chessie didn’t schedule pops up on Nick’s calendar saying only C.S. 7:00pm she notices a file bearing the same name on Nick’s iPad. When she surreptitiously opens the file she’s taken aback by photos showing what appears to be doms and subs in action. When Nick enters the conference room Chessie hands back his iPad hoping that Nick doesn’t track Chessie’s recent activity. Returning to her desk she notices an elegant envelope, sealed with red wax. Upon opening the envelope there’s a card that reads “tonight”. Chessie has no idea what to make of it, her friends are convinced it’s from Nick' Chessie can’t be sure it’s not some cruel joke from Constance. There’s a reason Nick Tarantino wears loose trousers...Chessie. For the last 3 plus years he can’t go anywhere near her without getting aroused. But Nick never mixes business with pleasure. To Nick, Chessie is pure pleasure. When she arrives home, Chessie shows her roommate Greg the mysterious note. It’s then Greg tells her that a package bearing a single red rose arrived for her that day. What’s in the box is the beginning of Chessie’s happily ever after but she’s afraid to let herself hope. This book is definitely a “keeper”. The characters, all of them pique your interest. This books has all of the makings of a great series. The pacing is flawless, Nick is a dream (I mean the guy loves his parents) and just perhaps Constance had it all wrong.

I really enjoyed this sexy book! Chessie is in love with her boss and has lusted after him for years. She never imagines he could be secretly lusting after her! When he sells his company he pursues her, and tries to make her his submissive, and his forever love. I love the internal dialogue that Chessie has questioning why this sexy rich man could be attracted to her. She must learn to trust her feelings and to trust Nick. She must learn to embrace her submissive self. I'm anxiously awaiting to see if there is a second book to this series. Can't wait!

Shameless Surrender the first book of a new series call Surrender by Jaymie Holland and features Chessie and Nick.  Chessie has worked as Nick's personal assistant for three years and has been in love with him for almost just as long. Believing Nick has never "seen" her, she hides away from him thinking she was not good enough for him.  Year's of her mother's unending brain washing put those thoughts in her head.  She's never been good enough for her mother, so why would she ever think that she woud be good enough for him. He can have anybody he wants. I felt for Chessie.  Even though you know in your head these hurtful things are not true, you feel them, and they are hard to overcome.

Nick has certainly "seen" Chessie, but because of the company's no fraternization rule, he could never act on it.  When the opportunity to sell his business presents itself, Nick takes the chance to finally go after the woman he has secretly been in love with.  Nick was such a truly nice guy. Very family oriented and caring!  I loved his interactions with Chessie and their chemistry was hot!  He did a great job in making Chessie feel special and that she deserves to feel good about herself!

I loved how Chessie had such a great support system with her best friends and her roommate!  They all really seem to have her back in all things-and that means so much to me!  I also liked how Nick went about pursuing Chessie.  She had no idea Nick ever looked her way, yet alone his feelings toward her!  I was surprised that he took her to a BDSM club on their first date though.  I also did not care for the trick he intended to play on her with his fellow dom and friend. She was new to the whole scene, and then to give her such a huge test right off the bat was a bit harsh.  I also thought he went too far for their first scene. I would've liked a slower introduction for her-regardless if she ended up liking what he did in the end.

The only other thing that made this a 4 instead of a 5 star read was that I wanted to witness some of their interactions for the three years prior as boss and assistant.  I felt if we would've had some flashbacks or something to give us a little bit of their history, I wouldn't have felt like I was dropped into the story having missed the beginning.

I did enjoy reading this book and Nick and Chessie's romance!  I am a fan of the dual POV as I love to know what each is thinking. It worked well in this story! Seeing as this is book one in this series, I hope to see books with her friends' stories pop up soon!

4 Stars/4 Flames

I enjoyed this book. Chessie is Nick's PA, and she has wanted him from day 1, but is too shy to do anything about it. Nick, after selling the company goes into a super fast "I must woo Chessie" mode.
The build up is great, sweetly sexy, then it moves really fast, and the story ends....I did enjoy it, my only concerns, hence the dropping of one star, is the rushed ending, without a whole lot of romance.

Shameless Surrender is a sexy, lightly kinky romance.

Chessie has been in love with her boss, Nick Tarantino, forever, but she's never, ever let it be known, at least not to him. Her friends all know, but never could she imagine letting him know. But, he's selling the company and she knows if she doesn't tell him how she feels she'll never know if they could have had something, if he could live up to the countless fantasies she has about him. On Nick's last day, she gets an invitation with the word "Tonight" simply written on it. It couldn't be from Nick, could it?

When Nick whisks her away to his exclusive sex club, Club Surrender, and introduces her to the pleasures to be had if she puts her trust in him and submits, she knows she needs to treasure the night for what it is - hot, lightly kinky sex, but without a commitment and knowing she may never have him for more than just this night. But, Chessie doesn't know that Nick has been in love with her just as long as she's been in love with him, and this introduction to his lifestyle is the beginning of their life together.

If you like your romances heavy on the sticky sweet and super sexy with light BDSM, Shameless Surrender should be on your TBR list. Don't come into it expecting hardcore BDSM, but if you do like BDSM slightly kinky with a little spanking and flogging, cuffing, gagging, but without all the heaviness and darkness hardcore BDSM can entail, then this should be the story for you.

Chessie Lane is an executive assistant to Nick Tarantino and she is madly and hopelessly in love with him. But he does not know it. All her waking and dreaming fantasies are of Nick but when Nick sells his company Chessie is devastated that she will no longer be in his presence. Too chicken and insecure to confess her feelings previously, Chessie considers letting them be known. Before she has a chance to do so she discovers an envelope on her desk and inside of it all it says is: "Tonight". Could this be from Nick? Is there a chance that Chessie will finally get to act out on her feelings and express her love?

Again, and I have said this before, I know that erotic books are meant to be fantasies and not anything truly feasible but I always struggle with fakeness and unrealism of it all. I guess it kills the mood for me? Like oh! This super rich, really hot guy, wants me and he also happens to be madly in love with me. He also owns a really posh BDSM club that will fulfil all my sexual fantasies, he also wants to buy me really expensive things and lavish extravagant surprises on me and will make all my dreams come true and fill all my insecurities... Oh, annnnnd he wants to marry me *swoon*! Barf. The sex scenes were pretty decent thankfully. That is this books redeeming quality.

I have always had strong opinions on mushy or silly love stories. I am not sure what that says about me as a person. It is not that I don't appreciate a love story but it better be well done and when it comes to erotica the stories are, more often than not, about really raunchy sex and I guess the added love stories always seem out of place.

I would still recommend this books as just because I do not enjoy that type of story it does not mean that someone else won't and the sex scenes alone are worthwhile, especially if you like a bit of BDSM. Though the book may be a bit tame for those that are hardcore into BDSM, it is nice for those who perhaps enjoy the basics or the idea of it. Overall, it was the nice quick and easy read that I needed.
