A well told graphic novel with quality art, told and illustrated with originality. A good start to what seems to be a worthwhile sequel series.

Big fan of this game, and of course I had to read the book series so that I could get the background as to why and just how the situation of this particular universe was progressing. Being that this is a series based on a video game it is kind of okay and not of the same quality as the character series being put out by DC comics. I enjoyed this but it is an okay read and would recommend this for fans of the game and possibly as a gateway to get into the regular DC books.

Injustice has created ripples in the DC comics universe. We can see the effects of this story in present story creation. I recommend individuals start with the first injustice before starting this series. Still a great story.

ARC from Netgalley.
Tom Taylor returns to the Injustice title as we begin the sequel, and his presence couldn't be more welcome! The plot is fairly straightforward, but the fighting and comedy is right on point.
Superman has been stopped. Placed in a red sun Kryptonian prison cell, Batman has taken (somewhat) control and is working to give it back to the people. Black Canary, Green Arrow, and their son Connor, have been brought to our universe by Doctor Fate, and they are assisting him.
The new threat to the Insurgency, is the new Suicide Squad, led by Ra's Al Ghul (why didn't we get him in the video game???) and he is definitely causing trouble. He gains the cooperation of Harley, is able to break Damian out of prison, and almost succeeds in getting Superman out as well.
Two nice surprises: 1) We see a flashback story involving Damian's test to fully become Robin, which is heartwarming, yet doesn't destroy the pacing at all, and 2) Supergirl arrives at the end of the Volume, where she is met by Shazam, who is trying to secure her help in fighting against Batman.

...but which Batman? because Jason Todd (AKA Red Hood) is masquerading as Batman too!

Definitely looking forward to continuing with this title. High recommend!

Wanted to read because of the video game. Enjoyed it and gave more backstory then the game did. Look forward to reading future volumes.

I loved the first run of Injustice, so I knew I had to pick up Injustice 2. Batman won the battle for Earth from the tyrannical Superman! He he must put the world back together while facing off against Superman's supporters working to reinstate the old rule.

Great issue of the classic DC character, Batman. I enjoy any story of Batman or any of the characters that are involved with Batman or the Bat family. So I'm a bit biased.

All hail Tom Taylor, a superbly good sequel to the video game

The battle against Superman was won! Batman and his allies are trying to figure out how to restore and rebuild the world. And then a new enemy rears his head. Batman vs Batman with more enemies hiding in the shadows. Will Batman be able to gather a loyal crew to help keep the peace won at so great a cost?

I rarely give a TPB comic five stars, but, I really, really, really liked this one.

It's the prequel TPB to the second Injustice video game.

Superman is in jail, Harley gets forced into the Suicide Squad, then the Suicide Squad in this universe gets co-opted by a red eyed Batman (not The Batman, but a different Batman, although we don't yet know who it is I think). Barbara Gordon seems to be on the Original Batman's side.

Oh, and Ollie and DInah are back with their son, Connor, and the stuff with them (especially with Connor and Dr. Fate) was awesome (wish there'd been more).

There was even some stuff with Harley and Ivy. I'm not sure what'll happen there, but, I always appreciate well written Harley and Ivy stuff.

Basically, this was awesome.

I was given this ARC by Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment.

I finished reading this book last night and holy cow that was awesome. For starters, I haven't read any of the original injustice series even though my husband owns them and loves the series. I decided to dive straight into this one because it came out yesterday and I thought it would be the perfect read for this week's Comic Book Wednesday post on my Instagram - and I was right. The artwork throughout this book is breathtaking, as you can likely imagine since it has a corresponding video game. Sometimes I read graphic novels with awesome art and awful writing, which causes the whole thing to fall short (the opposite also happens). This, however, was not one of these times. I was laughing out loud during some portions and gasping during others. After having read a fair share of DC comics this year, I have to say that I enjoyed the way these characters were written so much more here than the other story lines. The injustice series is very cool because it contains pretty much every DC Character (not unlike Civil War for Marvel). Head to your local comic book store then cozy up in your quiver to read this great book. Let me know what you think if you check it out.

I really enjoyed this. It was a quick read, fast-paced and well-plotted. It didn't amble as much as the last few issues of the first series seemed to. I like that this gives us a little backstory for Injustice 2, which I've already played through so I know pretty much the direction this is going though there are some surprises (the whole extra Batman thing is definitely intriguing). This book did a good job in bridging the gap between the end of the first Injustice game and some of the time before the second game. I'm definitely looking forward to future issues so I can see where they take it from here.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me early access to this title in exchange for an honest review.

While some storylines are more compelling than others, the art in this is spectacular, particularly through Harley Quinn and Supergirl's arcs. Obviously there's a lot of ground to cover since there are so many characters, but by the end, I found myself wanting more.

So I loved the first Injustice as I did the video game so I was eagerly awaiting Injustice 2. Needless to say I was not disappointed. The artwork is stunning and the story arcs keep you interested. Suicide Squad feature heavily and as usual Harley is amazing. A great read and highly recommended.

Injustice 2 Vol.1 is a good story driven by the beautiful and colorful art. Just as Batman's trying to rebuild the world after Superman's reign, the bad guys just keep piling up as Ra's and the Suicide Squad bring the hurt to Batman. Harley Quinn rocks as always. Worthy of a re-read in a world full of good books, this graphic novel kept me on the edge of my seat and totally enthralled in the story enough to finish it in one sitting. My voluntary review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

I really enjoyed this comic book. I was a bit confused at times, because I haven't played the Injustice games, nor have I read the related comic books, but I was still able to follow the story pretty easily.

The story focuses on Batman's struggle to help rebuild the world after the destruction Superman caused, while also fighting off against a pretty strong opponent intent on helping Batman's enemies. This was the first time I've read anything related to the fight between Batman and Superman, and it was the source of my confusion, because there were a lot of gaps there that I don't know if they're from the previous Injustice series or in the game or if they'll be filled at least partially later on in Injustice 2. I liked the idea of Superman being a villain, to be honest. If I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Superman, because I grew up watching the movies many, many times, a lot more times than the original Batman movies, but I've always wondered if somehow Superman's desire to help the world, to save everybody couldn't turn into a dangerous and negative aspect of him. This is probably the reason why I loved seeing Superman depicted as a bad guy.

At the opposite side of the war you have Batman, who is trying to keep the world together, but just before he starts working on fixing everything, new enemies rise. I liked this new foe and I wonder where that will lead the story to. It was an interesting plot device, to be honest. Here you have Batman, trying to save the world, when all of the sudden, a Batman impersonator comes along to wreak havoc everywhere. The subtle hints towards the duality of Batman are also among my favorite parts of this story. I never believed Batman to be a full hero, because he's so dark and he's willing to do some pretty hard choices. Maybe it's also the fact that his hometown, Gotham, is such a dark place, that the darkness of it rubbed off on Batman. But the idea of a fully-dark, villainous Batman fighting with the original, hero version of Batman is kind of like seeing Bruce's inner struggle come to life, so I cannot wait to see how that will progress in future installments. There's also another side to this war, that I won't give too many details about, because of spoilers, but I'm also curious about how that will be explained and resolved.

I also loved the art. There were a lot of details in the panels, but not too many as to distract me from reading. The story itself is reflected in the art, and you can tell there's a big difference between Batman and Superman in the way color is used for these two characters' panels. As for good Batman vs bad Batman, there are subtle differences, but generally you get the same style, which again was amazing, because it made me think of the duality of this character.

I read this pretty easily and I was actually very sad to get to the end of it. I'm definitely planning on reading the rest of the story.

I liked it but I didn't like it. I mean, the illustrations were amazing, my favorite part of the whole comic, but the fact that Superman IS the bad guy is what had me on edge all the time while reading it. I love Superman. Period. I know he did some stuff in the first Injustice and all, but I'm with Shazam, he was a good leader. I can't wait for the next volumen because I am sure Supergirl will do justice to Superman and help clean this mess. What didn't I like? Harley. I just don't like her at all and I didn't like the leadership she had in this book.

Follows more the modern trend of darker superhero stories but very well done.
