I want more… more McGowan brothers… more sexy fun… more of this loving family.

There is absolutely nothing I would change about sexy, business man Tyler. He stands by his family and changes his life when it is needed to keep his father’s dreams alive. He goes after what he wants and God forbid you get in his way, he will plow you over. Best of all, he loves with his entire heart and soul. There is no half way, not partial giving, it is an all or nothing deal.

Enter Kristin… city girl at heart, climbing the corporate ladder. When she arrives in small town Haven, Montana her heart and head immediately tells her something is different here, there is something in this town that talks to her from the minute she gets off the plane. Kristin just has to decide if she will listen.

I loved everything about this book. The small town, the amazing characters, the wonderful families, and the sexy heat were all perfect. I am so excited about this series by Jill Sanders.

Thank you Montlake for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed the book except the ending left me conflicted. I wanted to know what the outcome of Dennis Rodgers was - why did he want the business? what was the issue between Tyler's dad and Rodger? Kristen was conflicted about her job... and what her role was in the company, was she just a skirt to trap the men into selling their companies to her firm, or was she an actual asset to her job (respected for her knowledge / and the job she did).

Closer to You is a SEXY read. The characters were really well written & the story was strong & very entertaining.

This was the first book in the Haven, Montana series & I can't wait to read the next book. Kristen & Tyler were a fun & sassy couple & their love story was a blast to read.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This has it ALL - romance, love, intrigue and family. Couldn't put it down.
Questions need to be answered. Obstacles arise. Lives are held in peril as goals are looked to be met in this intriguing romantic read.

Tyler is the eldest McGowen brother and is known for having a good time. With the passing of their father Tyler is chosen (to Tyler's dismay) to take the helm of McGowen Enterprises.
Kristen is focused & successful in her climb of the corporate ladder. Kristen, a city dweller arrives to small town Haven, Montana with her Gucci and Armani ensemble to acquire McGowen Enterprises.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I liked it so much, I purchased a copy.

Wow! I just loved this book. I want to move to Haven, Montana. I fell in love with Tyler (well all of the McGowan brothers!!!) This was a book that was hard to put book. This book does not contain overtly sexual scenes or foul language that are in most "romance" stories these days. This book relies on good writing. The suspense that is in here is a plus enthrall the reader. I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves romance not erotica. I really hated to see this one end.

The story takes place in Haven, Montana. Tyler McGowan (who really didn’t want to be) becomes in charge of his father’s oil company, McGowan Enterprises. His father suddenly died from a heart attack while out on the job.

Kristen Howell comes to Haven, Montana. She is with JB Holding company. Her job is to convince Tyler to sale his and his brothers’ shares in the company. Tyler doesn’t even want to look or hear about the proposal.

Will he look at the proposal? If you want to know, please grab this book!! It’s a business and love story.

This is book one in the (A Haven, Montana Novel) series.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Jill Sanders' Closer to You is a sweet romance with a touch of mystery! I was drawn in from the beginning, and the book kept me hooked to the end.

Kristen is a city girl who is shipped off to Haven to convince the McGowan family (mainly Tyler) to sell their oil drilling company. It is a mystery who so very badly wants to buy this company, but they keep upping the offer in an attempt to have the McGowans change their mind. Kristen and Tyler's attraction blooms while they try to ignore it, and Kristen learns that the McGowan family is a tight group who will do whatever is necessary to protect their own. It becomes perfectly clear to Tyler and Kristen that they love each other in the HEA way when Kristen is in danger. Now, they just need to get back to each other so they can voice their feelings.

I look forward to reading about the other McGowan brothers as they find their own HEAs.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

A city girl ends up in the small and isolated town in Montana determined to convince the owner of the small oil drilling company to sell out to her boss, only to find that that all isn't as it seems on the surface. A great romance with enough spicy heat to keep you warm on a cold night! Definitely a great reading choice if you like a bit of steam in your romance! It'll be interesting to see how the other characters in the book play out if the author choses to turn this book into a series! I'd definitely pick them up to read!

Mary Jo – ☆☆☆☆
I enjoyed this book, although I couldn't get a feel for the ages of the major players. Either I missed it, or the ages were glossed over.

I empathized with Tyler, losing his father and being thrust into a role he didn't want to play, ever. As CEO of the company his father founded, he has more headaches – literally – than the law should allow. I kept wondering if there was a medical issue behind the headaches, but it was never mentioned.

Kristen is a workaholic from New York sent to the wilds of Montana to purchase the business the McGowan brothers inherited. Despite being told "no" in multiple ways and times, her boss thought a 'personal' approach might be the key to their agreement. Along the way, Kristen realizes that her boss is not as stand up as she believed him to be and there is no doubt that she won’t continue to work for such a man who insinuated that she use her looks to seal the deal.

The sparks between Tyler and Kristen are there from the start, although Tyler is hesitant to start anything as he knows that Kristen's life is back in New York. When she leaves abruptly, his fears are realized that he's just not good enough for her. Until she returns, and all bets are off.

Tyler McGowan and his brothers have done everything they can to keep their family's oil business from going under. So, no way are they going to sell. But with Kristen Howell representing the company she works for and pushing for Tyler to even just consider looking over the proposal she's come to deliver, Tyler finds it hard to turn her away. Will Tyler be able to extinguish the offer and win Kristen's heart, or will the fact that they're too different keep them apart?

Ms. Sanders has an astonishing ability to write small town contemporary romances with a small dose of suspense, and this first book of her Haven, Montana series launches a series that is bound to keep readers coming back for more, especially considering the McGowan brothers are the triple S threat -- sinful, selfless and successful. Really, they're a bunch of good guys that had me liking the tight bond they share. The way this story started had me sympathizing with the hero, as things aren't going right for him. Will he be able to get things sorted out? Will his brothers stop giving him a hard time over things that he does such judging him because of the Christmas present he brought for their mom?

As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories and the small dose of suspense towards the end of this book. It was also compelling because of the way the hero and heroine interact with each other, as Kristen does her best to win Tyler and her brothers over because she has a job to do in convincing the brothers to sell their company. Will Tyler and his brothers sell? Will Kristen find a way to convince the brothers, even if it means resorting to dirty tactics like her boss wants her to? Moreover, the heroine is resilient, persistent and I liked how determined she was to win the hero and his family over, even if things don't work out the way she wants them to. Certainly, Kristen is good at her job, but the McGowan brothers are stubborn and she's going to have to be at her best to win them over.

While the hero, he and his brothers haven't had it easy since the death of their father, but Tyler is smart, determined to see their family legacy continue to succeed and I liked how he handled everything that was thrown his way when it came to someone determined to see things go wrong for the McGowan brothers by creating several incidents that could possibly put them out of business. I also liked how determined the hero was to win the heroine's heart, especially once he realizes how much the heroine means to him.

Overall, Ms. Sanders has delivered a really captivating read in this story where the chemistry and romance was magnetic; and the ending had me completely delighted by how things turned out for the hero and heroine. Certainly, Tyler was determined to do whatever it takes to make Kristen his, especially after all that they go through towards the end where one of the main characters find themselves in danger. I would recommend Closer to You by Jill Sanders, if you enjoy the enemy to lovers trope, the mysterious strangers trope, or books by authors Barbara Freethy, Ruth Cardello, Melody Anne and Melanie Shawn.

In general I enjoy this author's books and this was another well written story. The plot moved well and kept you guessing as bits of the story were revealed. The two MC's worked well together. I'm looking forward to further books in this series

This was my first book by this author, but it won't be my last. She writes a great, sexy romance.

I have read several Jill Sanders novels and this one does not disappoint. The connection that Kristen and Tyler has is steamy hot. Although they don't always see eye to eye, Kristen is determined to get Tyler on board with what she proposes. I can't wait to read the other books in this series as this was the first addition.

Closer to You is the first title in the Haven Montana series. This is a small town romance, full of twists and turns, mystery and intrigue.

The McGowan family recently lost the patriarch of the family and he left his company to his three sons Tyler, Trent and Trey to run.

Tyler's life changed when his father passed away and he adapted into his new role running the family's company, that others are determined to purchase. He's strong, sexy and charming.

Kristin Howell is a female in a man's world. She's determined, focused, hardworking, sassy and sexy. She comes across like a fish out of water in her designer clothing in rural Montana.

Although the sparks fly between this pair, they constantly fight their mutual attraction, which results in a build up of sexual tension, and a slow burn romance. I honestly found the love scenes to be missing heat.

I enjoyed the dialogue and banter between the characters that was fun and flirty.

I will be looking forward to Trent and Trey's books in the coming year.

It took me a little while to get into this one and connect to the characters but once I did, it was worth the wait! The whole people from different worlds trope is always interesting and I think this one was done particularly well. I loved how the book explored Kristen’s journey into finding herself and what she really wants. That is such a huge part of anyone’s life and it was nice to see it play out in this book. I liked the mystery aspect of this book and how that played out. It didn’t interfere with the romance and it added a nice vibe. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for this series. I’m assuming it’s going to explore the rest of the McGowan brothers and their own love stories! Definitely recommend this one!
