Really enjoyed this book. Great plot and engaging, believe characters. I was drawn right into the story. Would definitely recommend.

This final episode was brilliant. I don’t want to spoil it so I won’t say much but this season’s climax was phenomenal.
This season focused a lot more on the characters, who developed wonderfully.
The finale set a tumultuous beginning for the next season, which I can’t wait to read.

Deep breaths were the key to this sort of situation, even when, especially when, a yellow-fanged gorilla monster eight feet tall at the shoulder tried to bludgeon you to death with the top half of a policeman it had recently carved in two at the waist.

It's all led up to this point - the horse is escaped, so there's no shutting that stable door. And this finale somehow brings it all together into a really satisfying end. It's the first time I've read the episodes as they're released, rather than in the omnibus, and I'd recommend it. The wait between episodes only heightened the tension they managed to ratchet sky high this series!

The next "season" feels an awfully long way off.
