While The Inn at Blue Hollow Falls by Donna Kauffman is shorter than the first book in the series, it is still a mighty fine read. The characters, Noah and Stevie are introduced in that first book, it is a wonderful “Grinch Snowed In With the Inn-Keeper” story. What better place for that to happened than at the picturesque Blue Hollow Falls.

Ms. Kauffman brings their story to life with humor, sizzling chemistry between engaging characters, with a little Christmas mountain magic. It is a charming and thoroughly enjoyable story. The saddest part is that this story ended long before I was ready to end my Blue Ridge Mountain visit.

Snow and romance in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Botanist Stevie Franklin comes to the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwestern Virginia from the D.C. area to help a friend who is restoring a Victorian greenhouse to grow orchids.

When she first arrives she runs into "lumberjack" Noah Tyler, who actually owns and runs the local Inn at Blue Hollow Falls and the sparks are almost immediate between them.

This was a fun short Christmasy romance with snow and a couple learning to compromise.

I received this book from Kensington Books through Net Galley in exchange for my unbiased review.

First, what a gorgeous cover for this book! And it looks like the description of the building in the story. Bonus points! Second, this Christmas novella is written by Donna Kauffman...which means it is totally awesome!
I loved that the characters attraction was off the charts from the moment they met. I also loved that Stevie and Noah acted upon that attraction and the sparks zinging around them almost instantly. There's absolutely nothing better than knowing that something is the best ever, right from the start. Love at first sight? You bet! Nobody writes it better than Donna Kauffman. The Inn at Blue Hollow Falls hit me like her Half Moon Harbor did and it is one of my favorites!
This was obviously a quick read since it's a novella. That fact, along with the fact that there are snow clogged roads, roaring fire places and soul warming hot chocolate (and other kinds of heat) in the story make it the perfect holiday read. Partake of The Inn at Blue Hollow Falls this Christmas season and you won't regret it. It warmed me all the way down to my heart.

Meet Miss Grinch, Stevie, who has arrived in the Blue Ridge mountains to help her friend Sunny with the orchids. With Sunny's home under renovation, Stevie stays at the Inn, that Noah runs. A sudden snow storm changes everything, and puts Stevie in the mode of worker bee helping Noah. Soon Stevie gets into the Christmas season while opening her heart to Noah.

A wonderful. descriptive story that will make you feel like your in Blue Ridge Mountains. I was able to read in one setting, and not want to end. The perfect holiday read. I highly recommend.

This was a quick novella set during the holiday season. I didn't realize that there was a Book 1 in the series until I started reading. However, one can read this novella without reading the first. I do plan to go back and read the first novel however since I enjoyed this one. It moved a little fast for me though in the romance department. It seemed that they said I Love You before they actually knew one another. However, there is love at first sight.

Not wanting to be around her family, Stevie comes to help Sunny set up her new business at Blue Hollow Inn. She is not wanting any entanglements. Enter the hunky Inn keeper Noah. When a snowstorm strands them at the Inn with no cook, Stevie steps in to help. Will romance be in the air?

A lovely short novella set during the holiday season, it packs a punch in the romance department. Stevie has come to help her friend Sunny set up her greenhouse in the part that has been rehabbed, and when she sees it she knows just why Sunny fell in love. Enter Noah the keeper/owner of the town Inn and friend to Sawyer and Sunny. When they meet you can tell there is instant attraction and immediately want to see them end up together. The naturalness between the characters felt real, and their banter from beginning to end always brought a smile to my face. No matter their different lives they show that love is worth having as long as you are willing to compromise, communicate and work for it. I love when an author writes a novella between other books because it is a fun way to revisit the characters that you've come to know and love. I look forward to seeing what else is to come for these characters and the scenic town that they call home. Who will love come to next?

3.5 Stars. The Inn at Blue Hollow Falls was a short, quick feel good novella. When I first started reading it, I got the feeling it was not the first book about Blue Hollow Falls, so I went to Amazon and discovered yes there had been a book about it earlier in the year. I like to know my characters when reading so went back and read the first book in this (?) series which I thoroughly enjoyed, but you certainly don’t have to read it to enjoy this one too. This book takes place right at Christmas time with an Inn Keeper, Noah, and Stevie, a best friend of the main character, Sunny, from the first book. It takes place over a couple of days and I know that being a novella it needed to speed up the romance, but that was the only part of the book that didn’t feel true to me. I felt like they were saying I Love You before they had really had a chance to get to know each other. I guess it then leaves the reader with fingers crossed that the couple gets their HEA. Thanks as always to Netgalley and the Publisher for allowing me to read this for an honest review.

I loved The Inn at Blue Hollow Falls by Donna Kaufman. Stevie has come to Blue Hollow Falls to help her friend Sunny set up the research plants in her greenhouse. She is blown away by the beauty of it all, including the snow covered ground and gorgeous men, hoping her bad luck with men might just change. With Sunny’s home under construction, Stevie ends up staying at the local Inn, run by the handsome Noah Tyler. While at the Inn, as the weather affects everyone and everything, Stevie goes into helper mode, as she was trained by her granny; this includes serving up some of her family’s favorite recipes. For someone who doesn’t celebrate Christmas, can the magic of Blue Hollow Falls bring some of its spirit to Stevie and can Noah restore Stevie’s belief in love?

I highly recommend this outstanding book to other readers. It was difficult for me to put this book down, reading it in one day. Ms. Kaufman is a wonderful story teller drawing me into her books, making me forget the world around me. Again, she created a story which allowed me to visualize the inn and the surrounding beauty of the mountains and hills of Blue Hollow Falls covered in snow. Oh, and recipes were included. This is the second book in this series and I can’t wait for the next one to be published.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This is quickly becoming one of the best series I have ever read. Noah is the perfect owner of an inn. I would love to get snowed in at his inn. The location sounds beautiful, the people are entertaining. A great read. I look forward to reading many more in this series.

Love reading about all the snow when it is 90 degrees outside. Makes me grateful for where I live. Still in love with the greenhouse. Now I want to use that shower at the inn. I didn't think about the fact that this is a novella when I started reading, so I was surprised when it quickly came to a conclusion. No worries! I am eager to read the next book in the series. This romance happened quickly and seemed a perfect match from the start. Another wonderful visit to Blue Hollow Falls.

I love this story! When I read the first book in this series, I was hooked. The setting for these stories is, of course, Blue Hollow Falls in the Blue Ridge Mountains and I immediately fell in love with the people and with the setting. Ms. Kauffman describes the area so well that I actually felt like I was walking through the fields and buildings – could actually feel the history, if you will. And this story during the holidays? I felt the magic in the air. And yes, it is a standalone story but as a holiday story in (what I hope to be a LONG) series? I got to visit with characters from the first book to see how they were doing. Love that.

Stevie Franklin works in Washington, DC and is friends with Sunny. She goes out to visit Sunny who is now living in the Blue Ridge Mountains but Stevie has to stay at the local inn. She meets Noah Tyler, friend to Sunny, who also owns and operates the inn. A wonderful holiday story ensues! Here’s what I enjoyed the most about it: Yes, it is a ‘feel good’ holiday adventure. Yes, both Stevie and Noah need to stop over-thinking their lives and pasts in order to have a happily ever after. However, BOTH of these characters are strong, thoughtful, teeny bit scarred individuals. Stevie is a very strong woman but has a soft streak, is playful, loving and snarky – very cool. Noah is a warm, loving, far too busy innkeeper who has had a bad relationship in the past. With Noah, I found that he has such strength of character, without being an alpha jerk, at least to me. I just adored him and how he treated everyone around him, most of all Stevie.

I won’t retell the story but know that it is fun, thoughtful, loving and quite funny at times! Just the peripheral characters that show up at the inn, and Noah’s friends, will have you smiling from beginning to end. GREAT holiday read, so happy to be back in Blue Hollow Falls for a visit, and can’t wait for more stories!

Lovely Christmas themed romance between Stevie- who wasn't looking for romance when she arrived in the Blue Ridge mountains- and Noah, who owns the inn where she stays. These two seem like an odd couple at first but you know, don't you, that they will work things out. Kauffman has used her atmospheric setting quite well AND she's included recipes for some of the dishes Stevie cooks when she steps in as chef at the Inn on Christmas Eve. The dialogue is good, the characters well done, and gosh, you'll want to pack up and go visit the area. I had not read the first book but that wasn't a problem at all. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. I very much enjoyed this and you will too if you're looking for a positive light read to settle in with.

This book is a heartwarming love story of two good people finding the perfect match. No drama, no excess baggage from the past – just romance. It’s a holiday story, but that isn’t the story that drives it, so it could be for any time of the year. Well written and left me feeling good.

I don't really like it. Too draggy for my taste. The heroine is a bit boring for me. Nothing to shout about the hero. Typical romance hero.

Have I ever told you I'm a sucker for a beautiful cover? Well I am and this one is a real beauty! Stevie wants to help her friend,Sunny launch her greenhouse business in Blue Hollow Falls which just happens to be in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. If you've ever seen the mountains you know just how beautiful it is. We got marred there. Sunny has some remodeling going on at her house so Stevie is unable to stay there and must stay at the Inn at Blue Hollow Falls. I'm not sure what is flying faster, the sparks between Innkeeper Noah and Stevie, who is a woman by the way or the flakes outside. Fresh and fun Christmas romance. I want to be snowed in at the inn and experience the beauty of a Christmas in the Blue Ridge Mountains. My only complaint is this book wasn't long enough.

An fun addition to the Blue Hollow Falls family. My only regret is that The Inn at Blue Hollow Falls wasn't longer. It was fun to get to know Stevie and Noah and catch up Sunny and Sawyer.

Perfect quick read over the holidays and you don't need have read Blue Hollow Falls first (but after reading this fun book you'll want to)

This was a delightful Christmastime story about two absolutely likeable people. It made me remember the magic of finding the right person and falling in love. I skipped through the graphic sex and just concentrated on the lovely story which put a smile on my face. I look forward to more in the series.

Stevie Franklin has come over Christmas to help at that beautiful old greenhouse. Turns out we see more of the Inn at Blue Hollow Falls than we do the greenhouse. Noah Tyler is the innkeeper and he and Stevie click from the very beginning. When the snow comes down and the power goes out Stevie does not sit around, she helps. I loved watching the attraction between Stevie and Noah develop. They both knew it was something special and they needed take a chance and explore their feeling. Great scenes and interesting characters abound in the story. I loved the way the story worked out.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.
