This was a cute read and perfect for young toddlers that are starting to learn to read! I saw some people give it a low rating due to the simplistic tongue twisters. HOWEVER, it seems as though the forgot this is suppose to be a children's book, teaching them the fundamentals phonetics. If you have young children, I would recommend to use this book to give them an easy night time or even daytime read!

More alliteration than tongue twisters, but all illustrations are cute!

This is an almost typical alphabet book. The author goes letter by letter trying to create tongue twisters. Some are very successful like “Squirrel skates and wants to share a sandwich” and some are not like “Xylophone is extra excited”. I do love the artwork. It’s cute without being cutesy but still fun and modern.

Colorful artwork. Silly and funny tongue twisters for children

This is the usual alphabet runthrough, with each letter supplying a phrase full of alliteration, though most are too simple to be called genuine tongue-twisters, as the book claims.
A little disappointed in G, which features a giant bunny rather than a giraffe. J seems to be the best one. Some are right on the mark, others are too silly, like the robot radish. I’m sure I’ll never hear about a Zen zucchini being in the zone ever again.
The author/illustrator must have had fun with these, as she paints not just animals but all sorts of things in anthropomorphic form; some of them have to be seen to be believed.
3.5 pushed up to 4/5

A for effort and artwork. Children will enjoy the imaginative illustrations that accompany each alphabetical offering. Some of the examples are merely alliterative sentences and not tongue twisters per se (although young children will find them much fun). The shorter the verb/word (or no word at all) between words beginning with similar sounds, the more tongue-twisty the sentence. Hence, "Queen Quail is quiet" works, as does "Jester juggles jellybeans." However "vases have very small voices" (and similar sentences throughout the book) doesn't really qualify. Others may disagree. Any sentence containing two words beginning with the same sound, regardless of proximity might count as a tongue twister in this regard. Nevertheless, four stars because kids will find much amusement in saying these silly sentences.

ABC books are best when they engage. No one wants to read about A is for apple, unless it does something. My favorite are ones where there is a story involved, such as A is for Annabelle or ABC Bunny which I can still recite to this day.
Second best type of ABCs? Those that are silly, such as Chicka, Chicka Boom Boom. That is what this book is, a silly book, with animals doing silly things.

Yam will yak about his yellow yo-you.
or
Nerdy nectarine is nice.

They are supposed to be tongue twisters, but don't appear that hard to say. The pictures are fun though, which is what will be the thing that sells this book.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

not really tongue twisters but a use of similar pronunciation of words. Cute book.

Very creative. I enjoyed the illustrations and the unique sayings. While some were just examples of alliteration, others were very good tongue twisters! I could imagine my students enjoying this book.

This fun alphabet book will have kids repeating words that roll around their tongues and spin out of their mouths making them giggle and laugh. They are able to learn letters of the alphabet using alliterations to do so. What a great concept to get kids engaged in language and wordplay.
The letters of the alphabet are big and clear making them very easy to see and understand. The illustrations are simple, silly and very imaginative. The colour pallet chosen is warm and happy inviting the reader to engage in repeating the tongue-twisters which will evoke great laughs I'm sure. They are a perfect marriage to the text.
The book is entertaining as well as educational. Storywraps recommends it for early years learners.

I enjoyed this book which is a different approach to the traditional ABC books out there.
The images were nice and the book overall is fun - that said I struggled to say some of them - I need more practice :)

Clever little book! Love the tongue twisters and the illustrations were lovely! This would make a great gift actually, I know people who collect abc books, but even little kids may like this.

This book is an interesting approach to an ABC book. The illustrations are very functional as they depict both the word selected for the letter and the action taking place in the tongue twister. The thing I find most interesting is that it can appeal across a broader age range with very little effort. Most children know their ABC's by the time they enter school. Some children are familiar with the sounds that each letter can make, but it's unique to have both hard and soft sounds together. Because of this, the use of alliteration here functions well and supports teaching the various sounds to early readers.

This is a great alphabet book, with the alphabet shown in nice big clear letters on each page, simple and sweet illustrations, and some 'tongue twisters' for each of the letters. These aren't tongue twisters so much as use of alliteration, but even so I'm sure young ones will enjoy learning the alphabet and practising their letters! A handy little book which will no doubt aid early years learning.
