I'm a big fan of Angela Knight's Mageverse series, and this installment is another great read.

Four strong stars.

*I received a review copy from the publisher/author via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.*

Another fantastic read from Angela. I love anything this lady writes and can not wait for more. Bravo.

A good story. Love this author but not so much the book compared to others she has written. Had a hard time getting thru it.

I read this short novel without actually realizing there was a whole world built into a series that I have no experience with. That being said, I was able to catch up rather quickly and still enjoy this glimpse into a magical world.

Olivia wakes up on a freezing bench with no recollection of how she got there. She’s a magical being who is lots of years old so nobody should really be able to kidnap her, let alone hold her against her will. It seems, however, that she can’t seem to get off that bench until a tall dark and handsome stranger appears, loaded with magic. Sure, it seems suspicious, but when a pack of werewolves try to kill them both, beggars can’t be choosers.

Oh, did I mention that there’s also some sizzling hot attraction between these two? That was fun to watch play out, even if magic might have had something to do with it. There’s magical beings, lots of family surprises, and magic, magic, magic! And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the HEA.

Olivia has lived a very long time. She has lived and learned so that she can avenge her husband and child. So finding herself kidnapped and placed out in the elements to die isn’t how she envisioned her life ending. When Rhys rescues her can she moved past vengeance and grasp a future?
Master of Mage by Angela Knight is loosely connected to her Mageverse world. I really enjoyed Rhys. He knew he was different even if he didn’t understand what he is. And then he meets Olivia, who is much more proficient with her magic. He doesn’t have to worry quite so much about unintentionally harming her. I love that Ms. Knight kind of flips the script between Rhys and Olivia. Olivia needs to teach him even if he has way more power than her. I loved that Rhys was willing to learn even as they searched to find out who he is and why he is in danger. This story was full of twists and turns. Rhys’ very foundation is rocked as he learns more about himself. Will Olivia remain by his side? I love that Ms. Knight kept us guessing. I thoroughly enjoyed their journey as well as re-visiting a world I love.

I hadn't read a MegaVerse title in years, and this one just didn't have the charisma for me that the authors' other titles did! Started off okay, but just didn't capture the magic that the other books had.

Great Read! I love the Mageverse series and this was a worthy addition, Rhys and Olivia are great characters. The magic, suspense and romance in Master of Magic created a intriguing read and I hope many more will follow. I will be recommending this book and series.

What could be better than a magic mystical adventure? One with a mysteriously hot and uber magical alpha with unknown origins!

Knight steams up the pages with an intense action-packed magical mystery that had me glued to the pages. Mixing up the urban fantasy genre with multiple mystical all coming together, Knight smooth traverses her readers from modern day to the Mageverse and back.

The Mageverse Series has been a go-to series for me. Fun, mayhem and a wonderfully complex and electrifying romance will always be had when you open one of these books.

Magic! I loved the earlier books in the Mageverse series and am so glad the author has graced us with a return to that world. If you’ve never read the Mageverse books (you should) it won’t get in the way of your enjoyment of this sexy story. With magic, intrigue and lots of love this story will transport you to a realm where anything is possible.

Three and a half
It's been a while since I've read a story set in the Megaverse world and clearly a lot has happened since the release of Kel the dragon ( who happily shows up here !) but it's still as interesting as ever before. Now I confess that those sexy vampire knights and witches have always been exciting to read about but with this book the author has really delved deep into her imagination and offers something I wasn't expecting. Yes magic still means that peace is precarious as there's always someone with an eye out for their own gains but this time it took a while for everything to fall into place . That made for a twisting story that had me repeatedly trying to guess just what would happen next.
Olivia has suffered great tragedy in her very long life and has repeatedly transformed herself in her quest to outrun her past. She's brave , fiesty and not really afraid of anyone yet waking up in a strange city, alone on a bench and spelled so she can't leave is something she's never before experienced. Why someone has done this to her is just part of her concerns though as whatever the spell is it's seriously messing up her ability to use her magic !
Rhys has known he's different to others as he can do extraordinarily things and has always wanted to meet someone who like him had magical abilities. He hadn't expected to find those answers in a woman freezing to death with no memory of how she got there ! Yet there's something about Olivia that draws Rhys but before he can really start to unravel her mystery Direkind appear and no matter what Rhys throws at them they seem impervious to his magic ! Luckily Olivia knows just what needs doing but they are still not quite out of the woods yet as secrets long hidden need uncovering.
I really did enjoy being back in this world the author has created and happily she does let readers glimpse favourite characters from previous books. Unfortunately I didn't particularly care for the ' supposed ' ally that could ultimately help Rhys so that somewhat spoiled the grand reveal for me. What did work was seeing Rhys finally understand who and what he was and it felt good for him to finally not have to hide his magic. Olivia deserved a happy ending too after everything she had gone through so for me their romance felt satisfying. I can't wait to see what the author dreams up next.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair.

I'd never read a book by this author before this one, but I was genuinely blown away by the first chapter. We rush headlong straight into a world of magic, and I thought that it was rich and beautiful. I'll go look for more books by this author.

This one is the latest in Angela Knights Mageverse series, it is an intriguing mystery that did have some interesting twists.  I love how well she creates a richly detailed fantasy world that is very unique in the genre.  Even though it is part of a series, it easily can be read without having read the rest but once hooked, you will want to go back and read them all.

So much fun to revisit the Mageverse!
I loved how Angela Knight brought something new to the worlds while at the same time giving us glimpses of old friends. The way Arthur talked about trouble coming I am hopeful there will be more stories, but that may just be wishful thinking.
Rhys and Olivia are a great couple and I love their story. They balance each other so well and their sense of humour made me giggle quite a few times.
