Eternal is 1 part billionaire romance, 1 part office romance, and both parts have the feels! Luci is in a rut in life; Landon is still nursing a very broken heart. These two meet at a party and hit it off. What they plan to be a one night stand becomes an issue they have to address. Turns out, Landon is the new attorney and the law office where Luci works.

Poor Landon! His ex wife was a gold digging whore who got busted giving some guy a blow job. Landon is crushed because he had tried so hard to give her everything she wanted. It was never enough (because, lets me honest, is it EVER enough for girls like that? NO!). After watching him lick his wounds for a year, his sister has had enough and begins to push him to move on. Landon has a lot going for him. He is wealthy, smart, and under his unkept beard and shaggy hair, attractive!

Luci is a smart, respected office manager for a law firm and she kicks ass at her job. But, she has kind of made the job her life. She doesn't go out, she doesn't have hobbies...and when one particularly bitchy employee points all that out, Luci reluctantly agrees that she might need to get out more.

The conflict of the story builds with the push/pull of Landon and Luci. Dodging the minefield that is an office romance is tough, and Luci isn't sure its a good idea. However, they tell the boss on the day Landon arrives at the office so its not a 'secret' office romance, which I was thankful for. Luci has a lot going on in her life that she has kept from Landon and comes to a crisis late in the book. The story is filled with lots of sexy times, some interesting secondary characters, but overall, I felt that not much happened. It drug on a bit too long for my taste but maybe I am just being contrary.

I absolutely love Ceci! There is no doubt in my mind whenever I reach for her books.

Second in the series we have Landon, Trinity’s brother, who has just gone through a divorce to an awful woman. All he wanted was love like his parents but thought that it would come easy. After his ex tore his heart apart he was a bit jaded. Until the night he met Luci. They spent the weekend together and he never regretted anything more than letting her go.

Luci is a woman who is strong willed and absolutely kind to her core. She is the person who always sees the best in others no matter the person. When she meets Landon, she knocks him on his ass and leaves him wanting and needing her even more than he thought possible.

These two together were absolutely sweet and deserving of one another. There is no one else they should be with and they see that. There is no love triangle because they are just that loyal to each other and that is something I appreciate in a book! They come with real world problems but are sure about one thing, each other. This book was well written and the characters developed. I loved this one even more than the first!

I am a major fan of her past work and have enjoyed many hours with her characters. Ms. Robson has a way with plots, characters and combining them to hit all the right chords.
Unfortunately, this Cecy Robson story did not connect with me.I was not able to feel the appropriate feelings for this couple.
I will look to her future work. This could be me thing not the author.

I recieved a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange of an honest review.

A beautiful and soulful romance between two broken and lonely person. This was a phenomenal read and proved to me that Cecy Robson can write contemporary just as well as she does with paranormal.

To be honest it surprised me how much I enjoyed this story because maybe I loved the Weird girls series my one previous attemot to read a contemporary from the author repertoare failed miserably. Yet this book, despite my reservations, sucked me in completly within the first page.
The writing is exquisite , the plot is interesting but not too drama filled so the focus stayes on the magical romance happening between the two main characters. The paceing of the plot is just right altought at some moments it felt a bit too slow for me in terms of how many days they actually experiencing under a certain percentage of the book. But then the connections, the leaps between scenes balance this out perfectly and create a dynamic and flowing line to follow.

I love when the emotions come through so clearly in a book that I practically can experience them, just like its the case here. However, I’mnot surprised about this because The author already proved herself on this front.
It’s not exactly the most upbeat story, I couldn’t ever call it the happiest one either since it has a heavier undertone abd you can feel that something deeper is shimmering in the background. But I really enjoyed it and it filled me up with a bit of a warm and fuzzy vibes. Eternal is a very entertaining and comforting read.

The tale is told alternating between Luci and Landonand the bond between them that we get an insight to is something I loved to experince once in real life.
In the beginning of the story they are both in a bind, they both been burned by loved ones just on different fronts.
From the outside Luci looks like a shy, conservative and closed offwoman but when you take the time to start an actual conversation with her qou realize how beautiful, helpful and vibrant she is truly. A hardworking woman, who despite her hard childhood, lives a mostly happy life thanks to the ones that took a chance on her. Yet, she has a huge secret that can cause her downfall. It’s a hard issue and while I couldn’t agree how she handles it most of the time, I can understand her somewhat.
Then there is Landon, who grew up with money, he had everything he ever should need expect true love. However, no matter how giving, helpful and down to earth he is, but he is not perfect. He never really expected to be decieved for his money because he grew up among decent people and couldn’t imagine less. Also I think he is a bit condescending without realizing it.

the chemistry between them is amazing and the sex scenes are not just numerous but off the charts hot too. But the physical attraction is not the only thing that works between them, the easy understanding and the quick, comfortable way they act around each other is a delight to encounter. I loved thet their relationship was just generally missing the awkwardness.

As I mentioned earlier I adored this story, however I only realized that this book is a second in a series by the familiar way it ‘talks’ about certain secondary characters, like I should already know their story. But the fact that I didn’t read the first book yet didn’t cause any trouble understanding this one.
The only thing that I can bring up against Eternal is that I think it could have benefitted from a bit more tension in it. Other than that I loved it.

Landon Summers hasn't been the best of company, but when his sister all but drags him to a New Year's Party, he never imagined he'd find a woman to tempt him enough to even consider giving happy ever another chance. However, there's something about Luci that he can't resist. Will Landon be able to convince Luci to take a chance on him, or will her fears of believing she isn't good enough for Landon keep them apart?

The first book of this series was one of the best books I read last year, and I've got to say that this story was just as enchanting due to the main characters back stories and what the heroine is dealing with throughout this story that puts her at risk. Why does she continue to want to try and help someone that doesn't want to help themselves? Will she ever give up on thinking she can rescue someone she cares about? The way this story started had me sympathizing with the hero, as he's been through so much because of his ex and it doesn't help that his family is pressuring him to begin to get out and enjoy life again. Will meeting Luci be just the thing to finally bring Landon out of the funk he's been in since his divorce?

As for the dialogue, it was well-written, compelling and intense due to the main characters back stories and what the heroine goes through because of someone she cares about. However, there were some really good light-hearted moments between the hero and heroine as well as between the main and secondary characters. Landon is really tight with his family, especially his sister, and I loved how they teased each other when it came to their love lives. Does his sister provide too much information at times for Landon to handle?

Both the main characters were fantastic and I loved every moment they conversed. The heroine has been through so much in her life, but I liked that she didn't give up hope for the person she cared about to have a better life. I also liked how resilient, courageous and hard-working she was when it came to her career, as it's been a blessing to help her overcome her past in making her the independent and strong woman she is. While the hero, his ex-wife did a number on him with the divorce and I could understand why he's been avoiding getting involved with someone else, no matter how much his family are hoping for him to finally move on. Yet, in saying that, I liked how determined he was to win the heroine over and show her that he's someone she can put her trust in and that he wouldn't judge her because of her past.

Overall, Ms. Robson has penned another marvellous read for this series where the chemistry between this couple was intense; the romance hot and illustrates how great these two are together; and the ending had me sympathizing with the heroine because of how things ended with the person she was determined to help, but I loved how things worked out for Landon and Luci as they're so right for each other. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped things up wonderfully, as no-one is more deserving of happy ever after than Luci and Landon certainly knows how to surprise her with what he wants for their future. I would recommend Eternal by Cecy Robson, if you enjoy second chance romances or books by authors Melanie Harlow, Jen Frederick, Cora Brent and Scarlett Cole.

Cecy Robson’s second book of A Carolina Beach Series is a delightful read. This romance novel is full of heart, humor, sexy, and romance that will sweep you off your feet. “Eternal has shot straight to the top of my all-time favorite Contemporary Romances. With the amount of heat and heart rolled into this story, readers will find it difficult to not fall in love with Landon Summers.”
Cecy Robson has brought us a heroine that has risen from a very bad string of luck. She broke my heart and inspired me at the same time with this story. I love that Luciana (Luci) was focused on rebuilding her life despite what has been thrown her way.

Landon is a charmer a man with respect and the utmost loyalty. Only he is hiding the hurt and devastation he feels after a heartbreaking divorce.
Eternal is so sweet and charming that it had me both swooning, cheering and smiling throughout. There’s just something so very uplifting about Robson’s words as she weaves together this romance. Luci and Landon are put together and while Robson shakes things up a little, there’s always a focus on the romance and the emotion. That is where I think the passion of the story comes through.

Neither Luci Diaz nor Landon Summers were looking for a relationship when they meet at a New Year’s Eve party, but both are enthralled from their first hello. They feel an instant connection and powerful sexual chemistry and agree to one night of passion, which turns into a weekend of shared intimacy and unforgettable sex. They go their separate ways believing they’ll probably never see each other again but are flabbergasted when Landon starts his new job at the law office where Luci works. They have a second chance to explore the magic they felt that weekend, but embarking on a relationship while working together is likely to be difficult. Landon isn’t as intimidated by the pitfalls of mixing business with pleasure, and he is endearing as he patiently convinces Luci to take a chance on him.

However, Luci and Landon discover the workplace isn’t their biggest challenge. He has deep, emotional wounds inflicted by his first marriage, and Luci’s attention is consumed by a heavy secret and a stressful burden. There is an authenticity and depth to their journey that makes this happy-ever-after resonate, and Eternal is a heartfelt and beautiful love story of two wounded hearts who find each other when and where they least expect it.

In Eternal (Carolina Beach #2) Cecy Robson gives us another book with heart and heat; but it doesn’t quite meet the expectations created by its predecessor, Inseverable.

Eternal takes place a few years after the events of the first book in the series, Inseverable. It is the story of Landon (Trin’s brother) and Luci. Landon is still reeling from a disastrous marriage and Luci is dealing with her own personal demons. They both reluctantly attend a New Year’s Eve party where they meet for the first time, and from there the sparks fly!

I’m still not 100% sure how I felt about this book. Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was missing something. Landon and Luci’s relationship felt real. They suited each other, giving the other person what they needed. So it wasn’t that. I think it may have been the dramatic element that felt a bit forced. Landon is a sweetheart, no doubt about it, and his hang-ups regarding his ex-wife are perfectly understandable. His reluctance to verbally admit his feelings, despite his inner dialogue repeatedly affirming his emotions, just seemed to go on a bit too long. Similarly, Luci hiding the very existence of her own personal demons, despite evidence to the contrary that Landon would not have an adverse reaction to the news it just seemed to go on a tad too long. When Luci learns about Landon’s ex-wife and the circumstances surrounding the entire premise of their marriage, it’s understandable that she doesn’t want to be seen in the same light, but even so the cover up just goes on too long.

However, despite the above, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book. Cecy Robson has a way of writing characters that feel very real. They are in-depth personalities complete with both strengths and flaws. They are the type of characters that cheer on, you want them to succeed. I think the main problem is that this book had some mighty big shoes to fill following on from the exceptional Inseverable; and Eternal didn’t quite make it.

I haven’t read a book by Cecy Robson yet that doesn’t have heart and soul. This one is no exception. I’m very much looking forward to book 3 in the series.

Favorite Quotes:

Call me a fool in love. But don’t make me look like one.

I’m feeling very manly right now… I’m ready to sprout some more chest hair, wrestle a gator, and maybe chop some wood, pausing only to flex as you look on adoringly.

Have I mentioned Landon has an ass Adonis would kill Zeus to spank?

We say grace like good Christians and start talking like bad ones the minute we begin to pass the food.

What I feel, I’m always going feel for you. It’s eternal, like this ocean, something that’s always going to be... You’re my world, Luci, my ocean, and the eternity that I’ve waited for.

My Review:

Oh swoon, I quickly fell in love with this adorable couple and have discovered a new favorite author to stalk. This was my first experience reading the delightful work of Cecy Robson and am as giddy as a schoolgirl to report that I have stumbled upon treasure - and have since marked the loot with a big X on my Goodreads map. And no mistake, I do want it all as Ms. Robson has mad skills and obvious magic in her words. She has woven a bewitching spell with her engaging heart-squeezing story and sweet and lovable characters. The storyline was relevant, full of feels, and put a hot rock in my throat and even stung my eyes a few times. But more often than not, had me smirking from her clever humor, amusing banter, and gasp-worthy steam. This luscious couple was vibrantly appealing and magnetic and had more sparkle than a glitter bomb. The writing had excellent flow and was dynamic, amusing, easy to follow, held my rapt attention, and was unfailingly entertaining. The accidental meet the parent scene was especially lively and humorous. I’ve never been to South Carolina, but would gladly pack up and move for a Landon of my own.

I love Cecy Robson and I was looking forward to this second romance. So we discover Landon, the brother of Trin, whom we discovered in the first volume and who is recovering from a terrible divorce after discovering her wife cheating on him. Luci, is a young woman who has never had a very easy life, but when she agrees to accompany a friend at a party, she does not expect to discover Landon. But after a hot weekend, they did not think of seeing each other until Landon started working in a practice where Luci is.

It was very touching to see these two characters discover and rebuild with each other. They try to understand little by little what happens between them without necessarily doing it in a hurry. It was a really cute romance that we find between the two characters. I also liked the fact that the author let us know the secrets of Luci, especially her homeless mother, whom she does not manage to give up although she does not seem to want her help. It is true that it is one of the parts of the story that I found the most interesting. We understand well the Luci’s desire to help, to improve things but when we see that her mother treats her less than nothing and does not hesitate to place her in dangerous situations, it is rather sad. I admit that I was quite disappointed the story left unresolved on this subject, without further mentioning thereafter.

In any case I had a good time with this second volume and it was a real pleasure to find the characters of the first novel.

An exceptional story of new beginnings. It touched all the emotions. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I cheered. Landon and Luci were such wonderful characters and both deserved a little happy in their lives. Both have fought through rough times and the only ones holding them back from that happy are themselves. They come from different worlds but in the end how much does that really matter? When they both attend a New Year's Eve party, neither expecting to meet someone special, they end the night wrapped up in each other and the passion they both desire. They never expect to see each other again and Landon shows up at the law firm Luci works at as the newest associate. That's when things really heat up!

An amazing book that I think everyone will enjoy. I definitely recommend it.

Landon Summers is an uber-rich guy, feeling sorry for himself because his wife cheated on him with her manager. She was a pole-dancer and he thought he could save her from her terrible family life instead the victim became the abuser. Reluctantly he agrees to go to a friend's New Years Eve party for one drink to please his irritating sister Trinity.

Luci is the office manager for a law firm in Charlotte. Frankly in the opening chapters she comes across as a complete doormat: trying to look after her mother who is a junkie living on the streets; working all hours of the day and night; no social life; dressing like a nun; so-called friends who treat her like dirt and abandon her at the slightest provocation. However, later in the book these seem to have changed slightly as all the lawyers in the law firm apparently want to date her. Luci's 'friend' Blythe also drags her along to the same New Years Eve party to meet football players. Among all the cheerleaders and football players Luci and Landon meet and make a connection. Which leads to two nights of non-stop sex, because that's the sort of thing that a woman who's been compared to a nun does, right?

After their two nighter Luci and Landon part, only to find a few weeks later that Landon has taken a position at Luci's law firm as a pro-bono lawyer. How to cope when your two-nighter becomes a colleague? But then as they move past that hurdle there is the difference in their situations: Landon is the son of a fabulously wealthy couple, he drives a Maserati and has a house on the beach. Luci's mother is a homeless junkie. Not exactly the same social circles.

In the opening chapters a lot of the writing was very florid and pretentious, typical NA/YA complete with the obligatory smirking. I give you an example:
The best I can do is not faint from the ungodly amount of allure spilling from his essence.
I was close to DNFing the book but I decided to persevere a bit longer and behold, it calmed down.

Overall, I quite enjoyed this novel but I think the characters suffered from being inconsistent. Luci went from being a drab, workaholic doormat to a sexy siren adored by her colleagues. Landon went from being a self-pitying, self-absorbed, crass man to being a kind, sharing, philanthropical lawyer whose only aim was to help the helpless. Its almost as if the two-nighter and the rest of the novel were from different stories.

***4.5 ‘Southern Cross’ Stars***

I absolutely adored Inseverable and couldn’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series and while Trinity and Callahan don’t have anything to worry about when it comes to their top spot being usurped, I thoroughly enjoyed Landon and Luci’s journey to their HEA. It was sweet, smexy, flirty story that is low on angst and high on swoon worthy moments that kept me turning the pages.

Landon is a good ‘ole southern boy who has been raised to show respect to everyone around him and help those in need. He has a huge heart that has been bruised by betrayal, but isn’t as broken as he believes it to be. I loved Landon. His charm jumped off the page and his honesty was a huge draw for me, as was his genuine appreciation for all the good things life has thrown his way.

Luci hasn’t had an easy life and worked very hard for all that she has achieved, but can’t always see the good that she has because of her past and the responsibility she has placed on her own shoulders for it. Here’s the thing with Luci, I really liked her. I loved the fact that while she has a bleeding heart and wants to help everyone out, she isn’t a doormat. She stands up for herself in such a way that you have to respect her. My issue though, and one that I couldn’t shake, was her lack of self preservation and the things she did because of it that fell into the TSTL category. I understood why behind it all, but couldn’t help but growl when they happened.

Landon and Luci’s journey to their HEA was a unique one where their beginning was all kinds of flirty and smexy and then, due to a surprising but definitely fun twist, morphing into more. The chemistry between them was clear, especially with their shared innate desire to help others, but also their joy of the simple things life had to offer. While low on angst, there is a bit of a push/pull that goes on that did frustrate a bit, but it all worked out in a way that set them both free.

Eternal is a great addition to the series. It was fun, smexy and had me smiling throughout the mass majority of it (the few exceptions due to those TSTL issues). I loved catching up with Trinity and Callahan as well as the Summers family as a whole. As for the other supporting cast of characters, this one held a mishmash of ones I really liked and others who had me growling, and not in a good way. Kee Kee is probably my favorite, but I am most interested in Becca and Hale and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.

Romance resonates with people, because the key element is love. Love is a universal language, we all speak but sometimes forget to feel. Eternal is conversation of the soul. The feelings are deep. Emotions are clear and the characters are as identifiable to you as me as the soothing sound of the breeze through the trees. There is no need for more than the beauty of the words, the bountiful feelings and the irresistible characters to make for an unforgettably timeless work of heart. Ms. Robson raises the bar and the sets the standard with Eternal.

Well, this was a “hardly knew each other but felt like they could easily fall in love after all the touching, feeling, and loving that took place during their two night stand” kind of read, folks. Yeah, so much so it took up the first 40% of the storyline. They both felt an instant connection but emotional baggage kept each of them resigned to walking away after their twist.

Of course, fate had other plans, and they not surprisingly meet again. It continues playing out with tender hearted Luci looking at Landon like the sun and moon revolves around him. He’s equally still enamored of her, especially in regards to what he frequently refers to as her adorable blushing. For me, that constant reference/observation and comments why Landon was so perfect started to lose some of its charm. Likely around 75% when he still can’t say those three little words back to her, yet Luci responds he doesn’t have to. She just wants to make him feel good. Oh, I so wanted her to have enough self-respect to instead reply maybe they need to put the brakes on the sexcapades until his heart catches up with the rest of his body parts.

This ultimately was a sweet, very graphically smexy read, with a touch of sappy, somewhat frustrating at times characters who want to love but are slow to do so. Landon takes an eternity to realize he should stop judging all of womankind based on the self-centered actions of his manipulative ex-wife and allow himself to admit his love for Luci. She, in turn, has a loose, lost to her family member issue she’s been dealing with that gets in the way of totally committing herself, as well.

Overall, it was not nearly as engaging and riveting as the two O’Brien Family series books I have read, Once Kissed and Let Me. However, if you like lots of steam and mild relationship angst between a been hurt before, good guy hero and a sweet, everyone loves her leading lady, Eternal might be a good source for you to turn to as your next romantic read.

This book was so good, I laughed and cried reading it! I absolutely loved Landon and Luci! I loved getting to meet his and Trin's parents for the first time and getting an update on how Trin and Callahan were doing from the first book in the series! I'm hoping Becky and Hale get the next book, I remember them from Trin's book and they popped up in Landon's book too!

This is a great series and I highly recommend it!

I throughly enjoyed this contemporary romance. As a North Carolinian, I familiar with both the Charlotte area and the Carolina beaches. I loved the main characters, Luci and Landon. There interaction was sweet and funny. This is one of those stories that after you read, you just sigh and smile.

Wait until you meet Landon. He is sexy, sweet and a little damaged. This offered the tropes one-night stand and office romance.
