There was much to enjoy here, but I found I couldn't connect with it. I'd read more from this author in the future though.

The author wrote a great account of the personal journey they embarked on. The honest and detailed writing made it easy for the reader to feel invested in their journey.

At times heartwrenching, this beautiful and raw memoir is humorous, tender, and impossible to put down. Rita Lakin knows how to write a great story — especially when it's the story of her life. It's both a fascinating snapshot into the 60s, 70s, and 80s through some of the most famous shows around, as well as a personal journey through life. Her tale is a reminder: you are not alone in this kind of situation, even now. As a woman, especially in the #metoo era, this is a must-read to know what a "normal" working woman had to deal with and put up with in an age when there seemed to be no other choice.

I love Ms. Lakin's Gladdy Gold series and was really excited to read this book. I found this book to be an excellent read about her history of writing for television. Fun and interesting look book, strongly recommend.

A very well-written and honest portrayal of her life in Hollywood. Marvelous insight into her struggles and her relationships with her peers.

Powerful read

I really loved this book. This autobiography reads like one of Rita Larkin's Movies of the Week. The book is divided by decades and ends when she decides to retire from Television. She does a very good job of describing how hard it was and still is for woman in Hollywood. This book reads very quickly and is hard to put down. There are lots of behind the scenes and famous names. While she was successful in her professional her personal life was not as easy. Pick this book up for a peak behind the scenes in early television. Enjoy

I love books about show business and thi one doesn’t disappoint. Larkin, a supremely

talented writer tells how hard it was to break into the tv writer boy’s club Her stories will shock you, but maybe not so much, give
the current political climate. Recommended
