Melting Snow is a good fit for readers looking for a lighthearted, fast-paced contemporary romance with a holiday setting and a focus on unexpected love and self-acceptance.

This book was awesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed the explosive chemistry between Winter and William during their adorable adventure together. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy a bit of sexiness and naughtiness with your holiday romance!
I definitely look forward to reading more by Leora Gonzales!

Story was short but feels rushed and it was missing some storyline.
Winter Snow and William Holiday met while Winter was working her second job at the mall and he instantly claims she is hers when his friend was trying to check her out. And they instantly falls in love.
I just wished they would have little more time to get to know each other other.
Thanks to netgalley and Lyrical press for ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Broke college student Winter Snow wants Christmas to be over. Thanks to her annoying name, this time of year always leaves her feeling Scrooged. The only cheer she wants is cold hard cash from her mall cleaning job—until a surprise offer from a hunky firefighter sparks one sizzling midnight temptation. William Holiday needs a replacement elf for his fire station’s fund-raiser. Convincing Winter she's perfect for the part—and giving her some one-on-one training—is a task he’s happy to take on. Because her irrepressible smarts and luscious curves are making this seductive Saint Nick want to deliver all night long. Winter isn't betting on more than an X-rated Xmas fling. But Will plans to show her they have more in common than their quirky last names—enough to keep their wildest holiday wishes coming true.
Considering how many holiday cowboy books I’ve read, this was a nice change of pace. It was quick and hot, exactly what I needed! Both characters are likable and have you rooting for an HEA! I highly recommend.

Well, Christmas is only a month away, and I do believe this read was more than appropriate to be reviewed right about now~
Winter Snow is not exactly a Christmas fan. Not only is she an atheist, she's also had it rough ever since childhood with people making fun of her unique name when the season of joy came around. But she's about to change her whole point of view this year - cause fireman William Holiday has made it his personal mission to help her see how special these days can be. In his own sexy way.
I have to admit, I enjoyed this hot short story. Yes, the romance seemed too rushed and instant, but that's what you get when you have to deal with something quick to read, so it didn't really bother me. Besides, I was quite impressed by the fact that Leora Gonzalez not only made it fast and hot, she also managed to sneak in some sweetness, tons of humor in the form of witty dialogues, and plenty of likable side-characters to spice up her story. In my mind, this was a true win, so bravo to the writer!
The romance was HOT! Beyond measure. Sexual tension that exploded deliciously, lots of dirty talk, and yummy firemen who weren't that ready to jump on shallow women - were do I sign up to get turned into a character for this series, please?!
Not only that, but I could totally relate to Winter. She's insecure and has a lot of self-doubt, so it was tough for Will to make her see that he was really into her - but boy were his efforts appreciated! Women like us tend to doubt someone's desires towards our person, and we often need a man to really push in order to make his point.
Well, push, but not to the point of sexual assault. It's a delicate situation, not easily balanced. And that's another brownie point to Gonzales. She made it so Will would not back down from his pursuit, but in a way that he didn't seem like a dick. His persistence - and the fact he wanted a real woman and not a stick with floating boobs - really made him fine boyfriend material, if not more!

If you want something short with not a lot of plot, but with lots of chemistry to spice up your holidays, Melting Snow is it. However, if you want a fully drawn, fully realized holiday story with fleshed out characters, you should look elsewhere.
Winter Snow (yes, that's her name) is working at her cleaning job when she meets a hot firefighter named William Holiday (yes, that's his name) and the two are immediately in the throes of insta love/lust. He sees the curvy woman and he instantly thinks she'd be a good elf to the Santa he's supposed to be playing at their firefighters' benefit, so he convinces her to take over the job for the woman who had hurt herself and was no longer able to play elf.
I had thought that I'd be getting a sweet romance where the hero had to convince the heroine that he really wanted her, and that their relationship would unfold naturally and organically. What I got, though, is entirely different. Melting Snow is so short that I never got a good feel for either character or their relationship. It was so insta love that I about choked. One minute they're meeting, the next they're in the closet getting up to naughty elfly shenanigans. I wanted to get to know William and Winter because what little I saw of them, they're sweet characters. But, Melting Snow is so rushed and short that I felt like I only got a glimpse of them. Novellas are only successful if they can pack a believable story into a short length, and Melting Snow didn't present anything believable, unfortunately, because it's so short. So, I couldn't honestly give this more than 2 stars.

Big fan of other books by this author so decided to give this one a try and was not disappointed. A bit different than some of the others I've read but still a great read.

When I agreed to review this one, I didn’t realize it was only fifty pages. On top of that, it ends at the 80% mark on the kindle. So we are talking short. But that wasn’t the most frustrating thing in this book – I disliked the hero sooooo much.
Winter Snow is our heroine, in her mid twenties and struggling financially to make it through college. She works as a mall janitor at night, for extra money. While cleaning one night, our hero, William, a firefighter, arrives at the mall to do some set-up for a santa fundraiser taking place in a few days. When he eyes Winter, or rather her butt, he is instantly in love:
Will kept his gaze trained on the female ass that was quickly bobbing up and down in front of him. She was so focused on scrubbing a particular table she was putting a lot of effort into the movement, causing her lush ass to jiggle enticingly. Admiring her figure, Will licked his lips. She was built as a real woman should be.
Okay, okay – so he likes the way she looks. That’s fine, even though I was off-put by his thoughts. But when he starts to talk with her, it gets worse. He immediately becomes possessive – and it’s creepy. When Winter starts to talk to another man in their group, Will takes Winter’s hand so no one else will hit on her. He has known her for about 45 seconds at this point.
Her distraction came from the fact that Will had threaded his fingers in a loose grip through her free hand. Unsure if his action was intentional, Winter stayed completely still.
Winter stayed completely still. It’s not really sexy when the heroine feels threatened.
.
“What the fuck was that all about?” Winter asked, her embarrassment making her curse.
“Wow, the f-bomb already. We haven’t even had our first date yet,” Will teased.
She made a face at him and crossed her arms.
“I’m kidding. Don’t be mad. I was going to ask you out tonight when I took you home but I saw the way Ricky was looking at you and kind of lost my mind a little.”
And then he drags her off and kisses her. Gross. It’s not respectful at all.
And then just to top off my dislike for Will, when she asks him if he would be upset if she wore something revealing, like his sexy santa suit he is wearing for the fundraiser, he responds:
“I admit I wouldn’t be too happy if you wore something too revealing…What can I say? I’m already possessive when it comes to you. That’s what made me stake my claim so quickly last night. I could tell Rick was going to hit on you if I didn’t make it known you were mine.”
HI. You met her THIS SAME DAY. SHE IS NOT YOURS.

M/F Novella Romance
Winter is just trying to make sure that she keeps a roof over her head and can continue with her education. When she finds herself a good job cleaning up the mall at night, and enjoys it because her boss is fun and a good person.
Around the holidays, she just wants to make sure that she makes enough money so that she doesn't have to worry about rent or books. When she is working one night, she is noticed by Will. He is a local firefighter who is helping to set up a fundraiser in the mall.
There is an instant attraction and the story kind of goes from there. They hook up and spend the holidays together. They have quick chemistry and they share some steamy scenes, but there is also a lightheartedness to their relationship that was refreshing.

This wickedly hot, short novella is just the thing if you want a quick, spicy read.
Winter Snow works nights at the mall as part of the cleaning crew. One night, the local firefighters come to set up for their annual fundraiser, and Will Holiday can't help but notice the curvy Winter as she goes about her duties.
Sparks fly between them from the beginning, and as they get to know each other better, they soon realize that they are a perfect fit. Almost as if Santa knew what they needed.

This was a super fast cute, and sexy book. Winter and Will had an intense chemistry that was obvious from their first meeting. There story was so charming and adorably sweet. What happens when a two people meet one night and realize they just might have found someone to show what happiness is. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write about it.

Novellas are just not my cup of tea, and this one was not that great anyways. The conversation was awkward and I didn't buy into the relationship.

This was definitely a case of insta-love. Winter is ready and willing within minutes of meeting William. Not sure if I would've read it if I hadn't received it through Netgalley. Just not my thing.

The summary was intriguing, but it was unrealistic in the main characters’ actions/reactions toward one another.

Yummy, spicy, and oh so hot!! This quick story will have you melting all over!!
Winter hates the Christmas season mostly because of her name, Winter Snow. Yea her parents thought it would be cool, and it.is.not! Her season changes when a gorgeous, hunky firefighter asks her to be his elf for the fire station's Santa fundraiser. How can she refuse?
Will Holiday knows it's fate when he catches sight of Winter! Curves in all the right places, and her name?? He thinks it's destiny! Winter is the only thing he wants for Christmas!
I loved this super fun and spicy read! Will was immediately smitten! Winter is adorable! I loved the title!! Winter just needed a little convincing since hunky firefighters just don't fall to her feet! Will was up for the task!

This story is less than 60 pages, so be prepared for insta-love. But it’s also very sweet in a lot of ways. Although this book is full of erotica, Winter and Will don’t just jump in the sack right away. Will is very aware that his strong feelings can be overwhelming, so he takes things somewhat slow (for a story that takes place within a couple of days).
There isn’t a ton of depth to this story, but that’s to be expected with its length. It’s fun and sweet and sexy though, so it’s worth the read if you like those things.

At age 27 Winter is finally going to college and working part time jobs to help with tuition and rent. One of those jobs is cleaning a small mall at night. While on shift one night she meets a fireman named Will Holiday who will be playing Santa. His elf breaks her leg and Will sees Winter working and asks her to be his elf. From that moment on the pair are together.
This short story started off well and I was hoping for a sweet but hot story. I didn’t get that and I wasn’t impressed with anything about this book.
When Will meets Winter he likes her looks and asks her to be his elf. When he introduces her to the rest of his fire station (they’re decorating the mall for Santa’s North Pole) he quickly stakes his claim by holding her hand. A little forward for just having met, but okay. He then asks to drive her home and within hours of meeting they’re sleeping together. Literally sleeping. What??? I mean, I think I would have understood it better if they’d had sex. By the next day Will is calling Winter ‘baby’ as if they’ve been together forever and telling her he’s going to marry her someday and they’re talking about kids and – oh holy cow!
Events in this book happen at the speed of light. There’s no character development, there’s no true getting to know you period, there’s nothing. This was a meet and screw and be together forever. I just wasn’t buying it. Some authors know how to pull this off, but this story just didn’t manage to do that. Because of my skepticism with the relationship I couldn’t get into the sex scenes either and found them boring. I would have rather seen the two actually getting to know each other but maybe that’s just me.

Where to begin...
You know the book is going to be incredibly short when your kindle shows your 4% completed with the book when you start the first page of chapter one. To add to this disappointment, the book ends at 82% complete; the remainder 18% is a preview from another book. While it's advertised as a 52 page book, when you take out the preview and all the "stuff" usually found in books, the true story is incredibly short.
While some authors can pull off a good novella, this isn't one. I felt absolutely no connection to either character; enough time was not spent developing them. The situation itself was just off and it showed. You have two people who meet at a mall after hours and leave together. Okay, one night stands aren't unheard so that's not odd. What was though was that they started talking about a lifetime together and raising a family. Within days she's meeting his family and he's saying he's going to marry her?
I'm glad I didn't pay for this book, because if I would be very angry. Something so short with such a small "plot" isn't worth spending money on. A free story? Maybe.

Overall I found the story to be interesting and well-written. good solid plot
