This really didn't offer anything new, though I am sure the title alone makes it a great gift for that new grad or friend who needs a shove in the right productivity direction.

An entertaining and fun read, but nothing new that, if you are someone who tends to read books about productivity, you havent read before. But not a bad example of its genre.

Can I just call this the antidote of the Lean In philosophy? I definitely am at a place in my life where the tips in this book are going to come in handy, especially working as I do in a busy public library where it seems like my work is never done and the demands never slow down.

I got this book as I was quite interested in time management and productivity.
The book is quite good, with some interesting exesercises and tips but it is also quite similar to other on this topic.
Recommended if you never read any other on this topic.
Many thanks to North Star Way and Netgalley

Erin Falconer has created a successful business and has had her shares of ups and downs along the way. She is very candid about her struggles and her journey in life so far, as well as her methods for rising above it all.

Her book has some very practical tips about questions you need to answer about yourself first before you can make a plan, as well as some ideas about what to do after that. I think a lot of them can be put into place but you really need to have an idea already about what goals you have for your life.

Right now, I am not in the place to read this book and get much out of it. That is not to say that it is bad, it is more a current state of me. I think if you have some goals and need help honing them, then this will work for you. If you are like me and have no idea your next act, then it is not the right time to read.

I chose this book as a resource for starting the new year off right. I definitely was not disappointed. I have taken lots of courses and read a few books on prioritizing and getting things done, but Erin Falconer is the only woman centered one that I will definitely be recommending. Her practical plan, relateable anecdotes and conversational writing style made the book a pleasure to read. There are so many things I will be implementing. I think that this is a great reference piece for any woman, no matter how she defines her profession.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

How to Get Sh*t Done may have just changed the course of my life!!!
This was the first self help book I have read. (Mainly because I think most of them are hocus pocus.). The title drew me in because it sounded realistic enough for me. I listened to the first chapter or two in my car and was not answering the questions right away. After I realized that Erin was making A LOT of sense, I began writing the answers down, so that I really could see what direction I would like my life to go.
Everything Erin suggests is realistic and do-able. It comes down to discovering what is important to you, how to make the tough decisions, and how to dissect your goals to bite-sizes, to where they are not overwhelming. Erin also shares several anecdotes from her life—which add a concrete feel to the advice—that it is based in reality, she is a real person, and that there are solid reasons for everything she suggests. (She has obvoosly been there, done that, and become very successful with it all.)
I actually think I have decided to take my career in a whole new direction, because I have been thoroughly inspired not to just continue to accept “what is” just because it has always been. So for that, I thank you, Erin!!!

This book is goid for women. It recommends getting rid of that long "to-do list" and working on only three things. I think this book will inspire others and help them to set reasonable goals in order to get things done.

Thank you to NetGalley, Erin Falconer, and the publisher for allowing me to read and review How to Get Shit Done.
This book was just 'okay' to me. It didn't really hold my attention, and I didn't hear anything that I haven't heard before, from very similar books. I did like hearing about the author's personal experiences.

I give this book a 3/5.

I like Ms. Falconer’s approach. She adds some ideas to the regular productivity books I’ve read in the

past - including our own personalities. She uses the acronym POP ; Personality, Opportunity, Pepsi

She suggests that you get rid of all your To-Do lists and concentrate on just 3 things. Why three? Because it’s an easy number and one that we’re programmed to do. Then, cut the fat and concentrate on those things. Realize that there will be setbacks.

Three stars

An easy book to read but I did not feel as though the advice was specific to women. I thought all the examples and case studies were from a very niche group of American entrepreneurial women these and the advice given could not be applied to women in general. All the advice and exercises have been done before by so many others and I was hoping for something new. The author's life is very interesting and can only applaud all the things she has had the confidence to do. It is good to see her pick herself up and rise to greater things every time she has a knock or a challenge. So I think the book will appeal to many as an inspiration but not really as an instructional productivity book.

This book just affirmed many of things I already knew. Focus/goal setting, think about who you spend time with, what are your core values, consider mentoring and making sure you prioritise health/well-being and sleep. I read through the book quickly, skipping some parts and when I found something that interested me, reading the full chapter.

Easy read, I wouldn’t purchase but good for those people who may not necessarily have access to the information I do in my role in knowledge management.

I have to admit, this book really does make you think about certain topics. It is what I needed for a more open minded view of the way I spend my time. I find myself doing a lot of unnecessary things on a daily basis, which is truly heartbreaking for me, because time is everything. I am so glad that I got to read this book, it was truly great, thanks so much for giving me an ARC of this.
The construction of this book was very well put together, making it more accessible to readers.
I aspire to be like you one day, Erin Falconer. (also, you better believe that I constantly check the website pick the brain) .

This one just didn’t work for me. Trying to hit too many ideas and felt disjointed and disorganized. To follow all of the advice would make life much more, not less, complicated.
