And this is our great opportunity. When we commit ourselves to being people of trust, we build, strengthen, and fortify the very things that holds homes, neighborhoods, business and teams together. When we hold each other accountable and allow ourselves to be held accountable, we begin to solidify the relational ground under our feet. And when the relational ground is stable, everything is stronger, healthier, and better.

To be honest, this book was a real struggle for me. I have always struggled with trust issues since I was 4 years old. Being a child of divorce and never knowing that I truly belonged to any family. Living with my dad and his new wife and then being sent 8 years later to live with my mom and her family. Being shuffled around did not help with having stability. I know that others have lived with far worst and have able to learn to trust. That is the key word for me that trusting does not come easily for anyone. That it is learned in relationships. Through accountability and commitment.

The value of this book is that trust is a virtue to be obtained and learned thru relationships. In my own experience, fear can keep detrimental in obtaining trust first by trusting others and being the kind of person that others can trust you to be. There is value in making trust a core in all your relationships and that it is never to late. Maybe you have failed someone, (who hasn't ) and the fear of failure can keep you away from the blessing of pursuing trust. In reading this text, I am convinced that trust is a intimacy issue. "In to me you see" and I trust you with that you trust me to see you.

"Where Trust Protocol is practiced, love and good deeds are always at work. Here's why: love without action is bankrupt and action with love is hollow. But together, love and good deeds conspire to cultivate trust and unity that change everything they touch for the better." What motivation to live a life in the Trust protocol. If that is not enough motivation, your influence with others will grow and be a blessing not only to you but to those you serve.

This is a short text that will not only give you hope but purpose in your relationships as they are built on trust.

I am reviewing The Trust Protocol through Baker Books and Netgalley:
There are those people we meet and we feel an instant connection too, like we've known them all our lives.
In this book we are reminded too that there are times when we have to love others enough and to have them love us enough to trust when we are doing something right for them even if it doesn't seem like it at the moment.
We are reminded of the importance of both establishing and evaluating motives. We are reminded too that the middle of messiness. The author reminds us that honesty is not only easier it is more reliable.
We are encouraged too to let go of Broken Trust, to deal with the hurt and betrayal but to move on with our lives.
I give The Trust Protocol five out of five stars!
Happy Reading!
