I abhor self-help books with false promises that sagely restate the obvious - the repackaging of axioms and platitudes into empty revelations.

There is no deeper understanding here of what it means to be human. The concepts of perception, awareness and intuition are dealt with much more extensively elsewhere. Here we are merely scratching the surface of concepts that deserve for deeper exploration.

The elemental emotions of fear, desire, anger and love are dealt with in such a rudimentary manner, that one struggles to find anything of value to further enlightenment.

And no, unlike what the author suggests, it is not a strange question to ask: "Who am I?" This is a question mankind has been asking since we crawled out the primordial slime to pursue the sublime.

Dr Manoj Krishna comes across as a deeply empathetic man with laudable intentions and pursuits, but this book unfortunately did not touch me in a meaningful way. Perhaps the fault rests with me.
