I am loving the heck out of this series. Each book adds a new level and dimension to the overall arc. In Trapped, we meet Declan (the 3rd Kavanaugh brother) and Chasyn. After an attempt on her life that claimed the life of her best friend, Declan is hired to protect Chasyn. Not normally a rule breaker, Declan is a bit unnerved by his immediate attraction to her. An intrigued Declan is quick to toss his number 1 rule out the window in favor of satisfying both their desires. Chasyn is determined to find out who is after her and what it has to do with the crime she witnessed. Working together, they uncover the truth while dodging bullets and falling in love.

Although I was pretty quick to guess who the villain was in the book, Trapped still kept me thoroughly entertained and managed to keep me on my toes. I have loved every character I've met in Rhonda's Finding Justice series, but I think the element I'm enjoying the most is watching them get closer to finally helping the 4th Kavanaugh brother. They seem to be falling in love with women who can help them with their brother's defense. As much as I loved this book, I wanted so much more from the ending. It felt rushed and bypassed over the big reveal, which would have left Chasyn pretty shaken up. And since I figured out who the villain was, the ending was also a bit anti-climatic for me. With that said, I still loved this book and I hope there is going to be a 4th book because I seriously need to know what happens next.

From the first page, this proves to be an exciting and suspenseful read. This book like the others was high in suspense and full of heat. We get to meet Declan's co-workers which I am so wanting to get to know better and am really hoping they get their own books. I would love to get to know Ziggy, Michael, and Gavin better to start with! All of these characters were dynamic and pushed this story into something so exciting. I didn't want to leave it alone. I read it in just a few hours. This is a book I will be rereading again and again.

The writing was highly descriptive and kept my imagination engaged. I have never read this author before but I am a huge fan after this. I look forward to more of this series and can't wait to see what comes next.

Rhonda Pollera creates a good story with interesting characters in Trapped.  Declan is sexy, strong and caring.  Chasyn is at times sassy and strong and at others sweetly vulnerable.  Declan is just what she needs to deal with the threat against her.  The plot is a unique twist on the bodyguard protecting the crime witness which I thought was clever.

Trapped is equal parts touching love story and intense thriller with a breathtaking climax.  Even when I thought I had it figured out I had to keep reading to see what would happen next.

Trapped is a solid, sure to please story where the reader can cheer for the hero and heroine and hope for justice for the bad guys and sigh at a perfect happily-ever-after.

Trapped book three in the Finding Justice series by Rhonda Pollero which centers around the Kavanaugh brothers. Declan is the second oldest of the brothers and this is his story.

Chasyn Summers and her best friend were scheduled to testify against a well known doctor in a murder case but were shot at in front of the court house. Chasyn was shot in the head but was lucky and survived, her best friend didn't. Chasyn's parents are worried that who ever tried to kill her will try to finish the job so they hire her a bodyguard who would also investigate what happened. Declan was ready to do his job what he wasn't ready for was how beautiful his client was, Chasyn completely caught him by surprise making him want things he never wanted before. Chasyn wasn't looking for a man like Declan, she had everything planned out in her life down to the last detail and it didn't include falling in love with a man who never wanted to settle down and get married.

Declan's main job is to protect Chasyn while his team can handle investigating not only the original murder but also Chasyn's shooting and her best friend's death. Soon after Chasyn gets out of the hospital there is another attempt on her life which complicates things because now they don't know if the same person changed MOs or if there are now two people trying to kill Chasyn. The good doctor really must want Chasyn dead. The situation just gets more complicated as they days go by both romantically and killer assassins wise. Chasyn is fully aware that she is falling in love with Declan and keeps trying to keep him at a distance but Declan isn't letting her, sure he's moving at her pace and gives her time but he's not about to let her go now that he realizes he loves her.

Overall, aside from being very predictable it was a really good read. The suspense is written very well and the romance fantastic, then ending was a little bit of a let down, but all in all it was a great read. Only one thing really, MICHAEL!??!?!?!?! What happened at the parole hearing? What happens next? OMG please tell me his story is next?

Testifying in court doesn't turn out the way Chasyn Summers expected, and now, she's in desperate need of protection after an unfortunate event that has left her in danger. So, when she discovers that she has a bodyguard, Chasyn realizes she has no choice but to trust him to keep her safe. However, there's more than just her life in danger, and if she's not careful, she might just find herself falling head over heels for Declan. Will Declan be able to keep her safe, so they can have a shot at happy ever after; or will Chasyn run from the best thing that's ever come into her life -- the love of a good man?

What an interesting and entertaining ride Ms. Pollero takes readers on in this third book of her Finding Justice series, which had me on the edge-of-my seat at times and left me sympathizing with the heroine when she discovered the truth about why she was a target. The way this story started with the prologue was explosive and sets the fast pace of this story due to what happens with the heroine and her best friend that leaves her needing protection. Will Declan be able to keep her safe? However, it was from the moment Chasyn and Declan meet that had me sympathizing with the heroine, as she doesn't know who he is. How does she know he's not the one looking to kill her?

As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the investigation into what her best friend witnessed and why someone is looking to kill Chasyn. Will the truth leave her devastated? Furthermore, the heroine is resilient, brave and I liked how determined she was to make certain she knew everything the hero and his team discovered when it came to finally getting justice for those that were killed. I also liked how determined the heroine was to keep her distance from the hero, knowing that distractions can prove costly. However, in saying that, giving in to their chemistry is inevitable. While the hero, he's driven, smart, and I liked how determined he was to keep the heroine safe. I also liked the lengths the hero was willing to go to get answers for the heroine, even though things get very dangerous for the pair. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero is how much of a challenge he faced from the heroine.

Overall, Ms. Pollero has penned an intriguing and fascinating read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense and the ending had me had me surprised by how far someone was willing to go to get to the heroine and had me feeling sorry for the heroine due to what she learnt about who wanted her dead. I would recommend Trapped by Rhonda Pollero, if you enjoy romantic suspense or books by authors Laura Griffin, Allison Brennan, Cate Beauman and Toni Anderson.

The mystery started out with a bang…literally – and the action kept going. I enjoyed how the danger kept pounding away at her and the mystery kept you guessing until the end. I only wish I had warmed up to Chasyn and Declan. I’m not sure why, but I never felt a connection or understood their blossoming relationship. That did not keep me turning the pages and having fun with the steamy who-done-it, though. I read it in one sitting!

declan kavanaugh finally gets a starring role in trapped, the third book in the finding justice series. when chasyn summers is targeted by an accused murderer she's almost killed for no reason. she didn't actually witness the crime. she only said she did to encourage her friend, kasey becker, who had witnessed the murder to come forward.

but even after the district attorney's office appears to drop the case, chasyn continues to be targeted. this is where declan comes in, as the owner of a private security firm he offers bodyguard protection and investigative work in order to get to the bottom of the mystery.

declan's always been a love 'em and leave 'em type, and he's never crossed the line with a client before. but there is something about chasyn that draws him like a moth to a flame. sure she's got good looks, but beyond that, she has a strength and a composure and a drive to solve the mystery that makes her the perfect woman. she also proves to be the perfect partner on the case, her ordered and methodical ways complementing his spontaneity just so.

the central mystery worked for me, and beyond that i simply enjoyed declan and chasyn together. this is another solid installment in this series, and i'm hoping that we'll finally meet the mysterious michael in book four.

The finding justice series is one that is full of suspense and twists and Trapped brings this up a notch.

It’s Declan’s turn for love and danger and wow do we get both in spades. Here Declan is hired by Chasyn’s family to protect her from whoever is trying to kill her. But in order to do this, Declan and his team need to figure out who is killing her and help Chasyn prove that the doctor is guilty in a case she was to testify in.

Declan is a true alpha male. He also wants a family but due to his career believes this isn’t in the cards. That is until Chasyn. Chasyn who pushes him and keeps him on his toes. Chasyn who helps him see things from different perspectives. Chasyn who is smart as a whip, career goal oriented and goal oriented in general and challenges Declan. She is his equal in many ways. Instead of hiding out, she joins Declan and puts herself in more danger so she can help find the truth. And when you see who wants her dead it is heartbreaking and not at all who you would think it would be.

The story is fast paced, suspenseful and thrilling. Declan and Chasyn go on journeys. Declan looks inside his heart and falls in love. He sees that there is someone who could be in his world and accept him. Chasyn has to rid herself of the fear of Declan leaving and accept his love. Both are unfolding clues and trying to stay alive and one step ahead of the good doctor and those trying to take out Chasyn. You fall in love with all the characters and find such camaraderie amongst those that work for Declan. It is more that they work with each other and help one another. Chasyn fits right in and helps to show a new perspective. The attraction between Chasyn and Declan is felt throughout the book and you can see Declan’s feelings on his sleeve.

A great story filled with reveals, twists and turns, suspense and romance. One that intrigues you and has you wondering if the doctor will be caught as well as finding out who is trying to kill Chasyn. The romance sizzles and the banter we see between Declan and Chasyn is sassy, sexy and entertaining.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series by this author. So, I was looking forward to reading this book. I struggled a lot to fully embrace this book. Not that I hated the book, I just did not jump with joy as I did the first one.

However, Chasyn was great. I liked her take charge attitude. Plus, she had a sarcastic side. Thus, she is my type of woman. In fact, when Declan and Chasyn first met, she bowled him over. Which, speaking of Declan, when he walks into a room, he fills it up. This is due to his big presence. He is also the type to take charge. Together, Chasyn and Declan made a nice pair.

The reason I struggled is due to the beginning. While, the story started out with a bang, I did not find it as exciting as the latter part of the story. Luckily, Chasyn and Declan's personalities helped. Also, I have to say that they can sizzle together. While, this book may not have been a favorite of mine, I still like this author.

As a reader the greatest gift an author can give is a mystery they can't figure out.Unfortunately Rhonda Pollero doesn't do this and right away readers will be able to not only figure out the killer and the motive as well before they are halfway though the story.
Chasyn Summers isn't a very bright characters which is surprising since she is a paralegal. Many many times common sense escaped her, slowly destroy the story and nothing will rescue it.
I wil admit I jumped into this series without reading the 2 other books but even with that I was able to figure out everything fast and found it lacking any excitement it promised.

I enjoyed the romance more than the suspense. I believe I'm getting jaded as I figured out the who and the why fairly early on. It wasn't a dead giveaway but considering the number of suspense novels I've read since my Nancy Drew days kind of predictable. I never really connected to Chasyn though I did enjoy her and Declan's (love that name) romance. I just kind of thought for a paralegal she wasn't overly bright. There just seemed a lot of inconsistencies to her legal mind and the way she reacted to things. She didn't use what I considered common sense a couple of times and that stood out to me.
That said, it was a good read. I read it in probably two seatings, easily.
Priced at $19.99 for a paperback (tradesize), a bit high for as many books as I read a year, this may be a better deal as an ebook or borrowed from the library.

After being shot and left for dead, and learning that the same gunman took the life of her friend, Chasyn Summers' is left riddled with regret, if only she hadn't convinced her to testify. At the time she thought it was the right thing to do, but knowing that she had a part to play in her friends death is damn near killing her, and the guilt from it is eating her alive. She is also afraid that once the killer learns that the job wasn't finished, he'll be back for more, and Chasyn is constantly on edge, and constantly looking over her shoulder. Her family decides it's time to intervene, and they know she needs protection, so they hire her a bodyguard. And the minute said bodyguard wanders into her life, she has no desire to ever let him go... he is gorgeous and makes her feels safe, and it's been a long time since she has felt that.

Declan Kavanaugh doesn't mix business with pleasure ever... but he's never met a woman quite like Chasyn either. The moment his eyes land on his newest client, he can't help but get wrapped up in her beauty, or handle all of the passionate sparks arching between them. He knows it is wrong to look at her as anything other than a client, but he just can't help himself, he sees the pain she is suffering from written all over her face, and all he wants to do is pull her into his arms and keep her safe. Getting involved with her is risky though... and he has a job to do, so he will fight his urges, for now, to keep this beautiful woman he cares for safe...

Trapped is a sultry, scintillating, and suspenseful romance story that will have you teetering on the edge of your seat the whole way through! This third offering in the Finding Justice series from Ms. Pollero is a well crafted thriller that knocked my socks off, it was so good, I had a really hard time letting it go once I got started on it. The characters were wonderfully drawn, the story line had a good mix of romance and suspense, really there wasn't a moment that I didn't absolutely love! Have to say this might just be my favorite from the series yet, and I have a feeling that these characters are going to stay with me for a while. Highly recommend you get your hands on this one, you will be thrilled with what you find!!

A young woman wants justice when both she and her best friend are gunned down on their way to testify and only she survives.

Chasyn Summers is struggling with survivor's guilt when she manages to live after being shot in the head but her best friend – who she had convinced to testify against a Dr she had witness killing a woman – does not. Her family knows she needs protection and hires Declan Kavanaugh for the job.

Declan is the 3rd Kavanaugh brother's story. He is the Private Investigator in the family. He takes his job very seriously and even though two of his brother's have recently found their one he claims relationships are not his thing and struggles with his attraction to his client, Chasyn.

Through multiple more attempts on Chasyn's life, trying to get evidence on the Dr, and trying to figure out who the hit man is – this is another non stop suspense from beginning to end.
