Holy heck!!!! Barbed Wire Heart is gritty, raw and at parts disturbing, but I was 100% hooked from page one and I DEVOURED IT!! It’s been a long time since a novel completely captivated my thoughts not only when I was reading it, but I found myself daydreaming about the plot and characters even when I wasn’t reading!! The storyline time hops over a 15 (ish) year span which was executed (pun intended) brilliantly!! Tess Sharpe intricately spins the web of animosity, destruction and deceit between the McKenna and Springfield families that will have your head spinning!!! When I initially read the synopsis to Barbed Wire Heart, I thought it would be Sons of Anarchy(ish) and it definitely had that vibe, but the originality and depth was something I was not expecting— loved that!!! Barded Wire Heart is a complete 5+++ star read that will absolutely be going on my 2018 favorites list!! You will not want to miss this gem!
