This one was interesting given the fact that the female mc was a human and not a shifter. However I do feel the same way I have felt in previous reviews of this series and that is tired of the same formula the author uses for every story. I just would like some actual character differentiation and plot.

I read this, but I think it was through Kindle Unlimited. I love Suzanne Wright's stories! You can never go wrong with one of her novels. It you need something to read after a long day, and you want to get lost in a story filled with romance and action, I would definitely recommend anything by her.

I read this book back in 2017 when it released.

Loved the story of Gwen and Zander. Gwen is human but knows about the shifter world and often felt more comfortable in their world than her own. When she is called upon to stand for a shifter who has been wronged, she’s not only in the crosshairs of the humans who want to silence her, but she is also covered by the Mercury pack until the situation is resolved. She’s also under the cover of Zander who wants her for his own.

Loved this story. Gwen was awesome. As a human she was bold and brave with a hint of vulnerability. She blended well with the Mercury pack women and had her own brand of crazy with her. Zander was so stoic and broody that watching him come alive with Gwen was a treat.

Another great story by Suzanne.

New twist on the series.

A human who wasn’t raised with shifters.

Great continuation of the series. Takes us to a new location and away from the usually pack areas which was a refreshing change.

Funny banter and good love scenes

As always from this author a must read

This was okay book in the shifter series. I wish the book focused a bit more on the haunted house aspect. I feel like many of the bad guys in this series are displayed over the top and I wish there were more nuance to them.

This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you

A solid addition to the series and one lovers of Suzanne Wright will enjoy. The hero and heroine were a solid couple with many steamy moments for Wright fans. Whilst there were no overall surprises in terms of characters or plot it was an enjoyable read for fans of the series or those new to exploring this shifter world.

This one was interesting, because it combined some mysticism (ghosts) with the paranormal aspect of the series.

I was also a little confused about a few things that just kinda dropped away in Gwen's story. Like her father and why she didn't tell him what was going on to help her. I get that she was a foster kid, but she held things in a little too much. It kinda made me a little mad at her at times.

This book was the one that ticked me off a bit more than the others. Though Gwen is fully human, she was a badass when it came to fighting off Brandt. I don't understand why it took so long to get up to where she and her foster mother could be safe and how it was difficult for her to fight off Brandt's father and Uncle.

I don't understand why Zander didn't make sure she and her foster mother got to safety before taking on the other shifters who came to the B&B. I just felt there were a lot of illogical holes in the story.

Another great hit in a wonderful series. This one has human Gwen standing up for a lone shifter who had been drugged and attacked. By chance, wolf shifter Zander stays at her B&B, and decides to help her. They both feel attracted to each other, not realizing at first that they are mates. A good story, lots of tension and of course a HEA. Really liked this one, and had a hard time putting it down. Highly recommend this book, author and series.

***4,25 "Admit it!!!" stars***

"She was more. She was everything."

It may have taken me a while to get around this series, but oh my!!! How much i did enjoy this book!!!
I love Phoenix pack, and I love Mercury pack and their stories are never enough!!!
I'm always in need for more and more, even though it's taking me some time to come around!!! Bahahaha...
This time it was Zander's turn to find his mate, and what a surprise was that!!!

Once you go shifter, you'll never go back...

Well, Gwen Miller was a human girl who had seen many ugly things during her life, but these things hadn't stopped her for going against her own kind...
All had started when Gwen had discovered in her property a young man attacking a young shifter girl... From that moment, Gwen is determined to not back down to the threats that the boy and his family are making her and for the girl to receive justice!!!
Unfortunately, the people around her are giving her too many shits and she doesn't need more troubles in her life at this moment...

“You’re good at ignoring people, aren’t you, Gwen?”
“Dude, I’m so good at it, I can make people doubt that they’re actually alive.”

Zander Devlin is an enforcer in the Mercury pack... Recently, his uncle had passed away and he has to travel away their territory for opening his will... In that trip, he is staying on the Miller's B&B and unwillingly, he is becoming aware of the troubles that are following Gwen because she is determined to protect one of his kind and he and his best friend, are deciding to stay more time and in a way, to protect her...
Unfortunately, after the opening of the will, he has his own issues with his evil twin!!!

"I'm suspicious of whatever I don't understand. You, Gwen, are a mystery in many ways."

As you can understand, Gwen and Zander are having too many problems to face...
They are both similar in a way... They are not trusting easily and they were always the protectors...
As they're interacting with one another, there is sexual tension around them... and sooner or later, they're gonna act upon it!!!
But what are the odds for those two to be together when they are belonging to different kind???

"Baby, why is it so hard to believe I simply want to know you? Why does there have to be some sort of technical reason for it?... I like what I know about you. I want to know more."

"Baby...I couldn't give you up even if I wanted to."

Well, i loved so much Gwen... She was a tough and determined lady... Yep, she was a little bit stubborn and untrusting, but she had her reasons... She was used to be everyone's rock and she had forgotten how to rely on someone else...
She was always fascinated by the shifters and by their mating bond... and that was one of the reasons why she couldn't trust Zander and his actions!!!

"Gwen was also fascinated by the whole true-mate thing. To have someone made specifically for you—someone who would never betray you, never hurt you, and would always cherish you—would be something special. She envied them that."

Zander was an alpha wolf, like all the rest of these guys of Suzanne Wright's books!!! And i loved him that way!!! Bahaha...
He was a man with no many words and who couldn't open up easily to other people...
For an unknown reason, he was instantly attracted to Gwen, even though his wolf was acting weird around her... and exactly for that reason, he was determined to get closer to her!!! Stubborn man!!!
And of course, he was possessive as hell, like all these guys!!! Again, i liked it!!!! LOL

"I told you that you're mine. Not just for now. For good."

This couple was pure fire and they were fitting perfectly together... I really loved them, but except from romance, there was too many storyline behind that it kept the interest in high levels...
Of course, the rest of the Mercury pack wolves were made an appearance (others had a big part and others smaller), but i was so happy to see them for once again... Of course, we saw and some of the Phoenix pack!!!
Before i close my review, i have to mark that Gwen's foster family and especially Donnie were soooo cool!!!!

You’re already mine, and I’m already yours. Nothing will change that. Not a thing. I wanted you for keeps before I realized we were mates. I am keeping you, no matter what.”

Honestly I do not think that there will ever be a book by SW I dont like. No one makes a perfect book with perfect character with perfect setting, perfect humor, perfect suspense, perfect everything other than Ms Wright. I love everything about this books and every Phoenix, and Mercury pack books. There is not one I do not absolutely love and crave and cant stop reading. Seriously SW, you are just awesomesauce. Wish there was more than 5 stars.

Lure of Oblivion is the 3rd book in the Mercury Pack series, this one is Zander and Gwen’s story.
Suzanne Wright is one of my FAVORITE authors.
I know I can and have picked up one of her books at any time and know I'm in for a good time.
This book along with all the Mercury and Phoniex Pack books I've read/ listened to at least 3 times.

The Mercury Pack is a great spin off from the Phoenix Pack. I loved Gwen. He was a bad ass human who didn't back down to anyone including Zander and alk of his hotness. All i can say is this is a mist read if you like sexy alpha shifters.

There's no one I trust more to give me great shifter romances than Suzanne Wright! And while this one wasn't my favorite in the series, it was still enjoyable.

Gwen Miller is someone who stands up for others no matter what. She's not someone to get in everyone's business but she does have a set of morals and when she sees that a bunch of anti-shifter douchebags hurt a shifter and are trying to get away with it, she just can't sit by idly. I really admired and loved how strong she was and I l love how she never let anyone try to intimidate her.

Zander is a shifter who finds it hard to feel empathy towards others and knows that because of the way he is, he will probably never have a mate. He's someone who, because of his past, has a hard time trusting people and his wolf is the same way. His wolf hates female attention and is distrustful of a lot of people which makes it hard for Zander to be able to open up to people, not that he would to begin with. When he goes to Oregon to settle a will hearing, he ends up meeting Gwen and without meaning to, things change for him.

To be honest, this book had everything that I've come to expect and enjoy from Suzanne's shifter romance books except for one small detail: this time the mate was human. And while in the end it turned out she was still his true mate all along, it just felt different. And ultimately I just kept wishing she was any kind of shifter.

I felt like the insertion of humans suddenly being able to be mates--when until now all the previous books as well as the Phoenix Pack series books had all indicated that they could only be mates with another shifter, NOT humans---felt wrong. It felt like she was retconning something just because she realized/decided now that she wanted to do something different even though that went against the rules previously set for this world the author had created. It made it so hard for me to go along with it when the entire time I kept thinking "since when is this allowed? This feels like fanfic". Then there was the inclusion of ghost and Gwen having this "sense" or whatever for paranormal things that just fell flat for me. Maybe it would've worked for me if Gwen would've been able to turn into a wolf or if it turned out the whole time she was a latent wolf and never knew but her being a human who suddenly can mate with a wolf...I just wasn't for it. She's done great with her shifter romances and for me, I think they should stick to being shifter romances between the different breeds of shifters. It's what I've loved about her series and I'd prefer for the humans to stay out of it.

Overall I'm happy I read it and I look forward to reading the next book about Bracken!

My relationship with this author is a simple, yet perfect one. She writes it...and I read it ;)

This book was perfect and I was so excited to have finally read Zander's story, the chemistry between him and Gwen was off of the charts. I loved it!!!!

Suzanne Wright is a Queen of shifter/paranormal romance in my opinion. I absolutely connect 100% with her mind and her creative world building. She's a goto author that I know I'm in for a great read and a few hours of pure escapsim. So much so, I have this thing where I don't want to start the book because I know I'll not put it down until it's read and then want to read it all over again but sad the first read is over! Am I making sense lol.

Fast paced and action packed, a feisty heroine meets fearless wolf but independant Gwen proves a bit of a daunting task for Zander but not one to shy away, this hot alpha sticks around.

Loved it and would as normal recommend to anyone who loves a good PNR romance.

Ok, so everyone knows I love Suzanne Wright, every time I'm on the computer I search if she has released another book, sometimes she takes months (<b>arrgggghhhh</b>).
As I was saying, I love her writing, her characters, her stories, and I re-read her books, over and over and over. I have lost count on the amount of times I've read her books. That being said, I have only read this book once. I don't know why I can't seem to want to read it again, but is still a part of the series, so eventually, when I'm on a binge reading for SW books, I will definitely read it, but only then.
Maybe it is because I can't seem to connect to Zander, maybe the next time I read it, I will love it...
Please read this series...absolutely good!

Gwen is doing what she thinks is right by testifying against humans for shifters. She is attacked and finally tells them what they want to hear. Zander sees that Gwen is protecting his kind and is determined to keep her close and safe. Great story watching Zander and Gwen's relationship develop is an adventure. Great addition to the series.
