Another enjoyable installment to the Mercury/Phoenix world that Wright has given us. She has knack for changing it up and yet keeping it simple and what we still love.

Suzanne Wright is an automatic read for me and Lure of Oblivion just proved it once again. I just love the maturity of her characters. I can be pretty picky out heroines. I like my male characters to be pretty dominant but I need the female character to be strong as well. I just prefer reading a female character that stands up for herself and doesn't create more unnecessary drama due to lack of communication.

Gwen is hands down one of my favorites. She stands up for herself in every way. She is being bullied and instead of backing down, she stands for what she believes is the right thing no matter the cost to herself. Even handling her very dominant wolf shifter, Zander she allows him to be what he needs, while still being what she needs to be for herself. That seems to be such a rare quality in a female lead lately.

Zander was equally as great as Gwen. The dominance you see in his character isn't there to just be in charge. He genuinely needs to protect and care for Gwen and his pack mates. When she does something he doesn't like, these two handled it maturely. I get such a kick out of reading a couple like this.

I genuinely can't wait for more in this series. There is just so many good side characters to look forward too.

I have never been disappointed in a Suzanne Wright book. That said, this one I did not fall immediately in love with like I do all her other books. Please keep in mind this book still received a 4 star rating from me, because it was a great read, there was just something missing. Maybe it was because her heroine was a human in the shifter world. I don't know. It is still a great read.

Gwen, while human, is a strong female lead. Zander is a quiet, broody male shifter. They are attracted to each other and the story takes off from there. The story-line is good, the suspense is good, the secondary characters are great. I guess I just really did not get Zander, but, still enjoyed the story. I will absolutely continue to read Ms Wright's books, they always have delivered a great story for me.

Received as an Arc from Netgalley for an honest review.

Shower I need a shower after that! Oh my too hot to handle! If you are up for some sexy hot adventures this is the book for you. Great read that you couldn’t put down. I really like the Mercury Pack, I really didn’t get into the strange and weirdness of the Pheniox Pack.

Zander is hot...no combustible! I really like him. Confident to a point and for being so reserved he wasn’t with his love to Gwen. Gwen was tough and snarky. She was the perfect ting to Zander’s yang. They were hot together...HOT!

The evildoers were evil and you really could hate them. Karma is a kick in the ass!

Great read! Enjoy! It will be interesting who the next book will be about!

In typical Suzanne Wright fashion, this book brought the heat!! Not only was it interesting, it was emotional and an enjoyable read. I definitely recommend!

I gave it 3.5 stars

LURE OF OBLIVION was a little different from previous Mercury pack books.

Different how? Well for starters, Gwen is human. Now don't make any mistakes, she might be human, but she's a total bad @ss. I totally loved her and can't wait to see her in future books as she continues to grow with the pack. I can't say that I came into LURE OF OBLIVION knowing anything about Zander. Sure we have seen him in past books, but he didn't stick out to me or draw me in and make me yearn for his story. I didn't finish book three totally loving him—he could be a bit of a jerk and his bedroom talk didn't do it for me—but I liked him.

The relationship between Gwen and Zander was slow, but built nicely. They had nice chemistry and their attraction towards each other jumped off the pages.

The story as a whole was decent. There was plenty of conflict, some life and death action, and the secondary characters added some nice twists to the story. There were a few slow dragging spots and I would have loved for the whole pack to be more involved, but enough of them were there to make it ok.

I haven't met a Suanne Wright book that I didn't like and LURE OF OBLIVION definitely hit the like list. Not her strongest book, but still enjoyable it and look forward to more.

Very fun read; fast paced with the plot threads. Great chemistry between the lead characters!

Oh my goodness, this was so fun to read. As a PNR lover, this hit all of the feels and I'm crossing my fingers that there is more to come.

Gwen is a human who stumbles on a scene straight out of the movies, a male human beating a shifter. But unlike other humans, she can't turn an eye to what she witnessed. Unfortunately for her, that sparks the never ending harassment from the aggressor, literally putting her life at risk. It's a good thing the timing worked out in favor. Why? Because a couple of male wolf shifters happened to check in to her B&B and now offering to help her. Things could get really interesting...

Zander is one of the wolf shifters who checks in to the B&B. From the very moment he sees Gwen, his wolf is immediately wary and down right nervous around her. But why? It's not until he gets to know her, offering to help her as a protector that reality slams him in his chest. But now what? First and foremost, he needs to protect Gwen. Then he can make sure his feelings are what he thinks they are.

FEELS!!! This was so awesome to read. Although Gwen was being harassed and "bullied", she was far from being the damsel in distress. In fact, I think I might have a crush on her. She's totally badass chick which is probably why Zander had such a hard time warming up to her at first. Well..that and the fact that they both have abandonment and trust issues. There are so many layers to this story, it was so nice to watch each one peel away, blossoming in to the HEA we all want in the end. But don't get me wrong. There is plenty of action in this one. Both kind, if you know what I mean...LOL!

I have enjoyed all of the previous books by this author that I have read, but this one just missed the mark for me. The first 30% was good, but I lost interest after that. I didn't feel the connection between Gwen and Zander. Also the constant "he couldn't be interested in me " nonsense was annoying. I don't know, it wasn't horrible, but I definitely didn't care too much either

Omg I can't help it but I just love love love it.
Again a great story line. I can't wait for what comes next!

In my eye's Suzanne Wright can't do any wrong. While this wasn't my favorite, I will like I do all her books, re-read this book again and again. I loved Gwen the lead female in this, from her thoughts to what comes out of her mouth. She loves her family, is strong, not wishy washy, funny and I never wanted to yell at her because of any TSTL moments. Zander is awesome as well, Alpha, possessive, sensitive and doesn't make me want to wish Gwen would nut shot him. (Always a plus) Gwen's family and her interaction with them is great. Getting to see other characters from other books is always enjoyable. My issue with the book is while I loved Gwen and Zander together I was underwhelmed by them. Other couples have this major spark and you can't wait to see what's going to happen, with this couple I enjoyed when they were together but in a group setting. They just didn't give me the bam that I expect from S.W. couple's. Regardless, it had everything else I could ask for and really enjoyed the book.

How did I miss this series? I love shifter stories and throw in rumors of ghosts, I'm there. What a great surprise! This story was a great read with lots of action, sexual tension and strong lead characters. Gwen, who is human and a kick-ass heroine who finds herself over her head after she helped a shifter who was beaten by spoiled rich kids. No matter what they dished out, she never backed down from a fight and the right thing to do. Zander and a friend are shifters who check into the B & B she helps run and they decide to stay and help Gwen. Zander is sullen, cocky and sexy and the heat between him and Gwen sizzles. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and didn't find it hard to follow even though it was part of a series. I look forward to reading more by this author!

Seriously, how does Suzanne Wright do it? Every time I read a book in her Mercury Pack (or Phoenix Pack) series, I find myself back in love with the paranormal romance genre. Her books are so enthralling, so compelling, that I usually finish a new installment in less than a day.

Lure of Oblivion is Zander’s story. He meets Gwen when he stays overnight at the B&B her mother owns and almost immediately he’s curious about her. His wolf stays hidden when she’s around and since that’s not his wolf’s usual behavior, it puts Zander on edge. As Gwen and Zander get to know one another though it surfaces that she’s in danger after protecting a shifter from an attack; the attackers have turned their attention to Gwen in order to cover up their atrocities. Zander agrees to stay at the B&B longer than planned to keep Gwen safe and they, of course, begin a physical relationship that later morphs into an emotional one.

I loved the human/shifter dynamic of this book. Gwen hasn’t been in a relationship with a shifter before, but I adored that she immediately fell in love with the thought of being with Zander and his pack. She’s curious about the shifter lifestyle, which isn’t surprising given her upbringing. Usually, human/shifter romances play up how much the human wants to be a part of a pack or they play up how much the human despises shifters, this book, though, found the perfect median.

And Zander...whew, he’s a protector. He not only protects Gwen from the attackers who have turned their attention to her, but also his pack, her family and, yeppers, even himself. He’s enamored from the start even if he and his wolf don’t admit it. Swoon.

Like most Wright paranormal shifter releases, you really shouldn’t miss this installment of the Mercury Pack series.

This was another wonderful read by this author. I enjoyed it a lot and thought it was a great addition to this series.

This story is different to others from this series or from the Phoenix Pack series. Unlike in the other books where the relationship is between two shifters, this story was about a shifter and a human. I liked that and the way in which the author wrote the story.

I've loved this authors shifter stories and both the Mercury Pack and the Phoenix Pack books are always books that I sit down and relish. This time though it's a story that features a very human heroine but rest assured there's still plenty of chest beating shifter goodness!
Gwen is such a vibrant, ballsy heroine and right from the start it's plain to see that it would take a special kind of guy to match up to her. Gwen doesn't go quietly or back down and she's determined to see justice served no matter what she has to do. She might live in a haunted house but believe me her problems are very real indeed . It doesn't matter who threatens her Gwen won't let the female shifter down.
Zander and his wolf are frequently at odds when it comes to females but he's never quite experienced his wolf acting the way he does around Gwen . Normally fearless and yet now withdrawing from the human woman is something Zander cannot understand. Still Zander can see that Gwen is a puzzle, a conundrum and he's not one to walk away when someone needs help even if Gwen doesn't quite appreciate his methods!
I really liked both characters and it was an interesting situation they found themselves in. Plus the supporting characters added greatly to the fun although I was a little nonplussed by the ghostly intervention. There are truly vile bad guys for the reader to boo and hiss at and yet this isn't my favourite book in this series. I guess my problem is Zanders wolf as everything just seemed to change overnight. I can understand the wolfs caution and the explanation made perfect sense but from out of nowhere things seemed to completely change! Still I did really enjoy reading this and happily recommend it to those who enjoy shifter books and I'm so looking forward to whatever else this talented author dreams up next.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

This was another good addition to the series by Suzanne Wright. I enjoyed reading this. I loved the heroine and how strong willed she was. I also enjoyed her conversations with the Hero.

I honestly can say I never expected to love this world that Suzanne Wright has created this much. I have thoroughly enjoyed every book in both the major series and this awesome spin-off. Now when we met Jesse, Zander and Braken, I never expected them to have such deep and diverse back stories. But they sure do, and more so their mates.

This is the first human/wolf mating that we've encountered in this world. And for me, it was absolutely perfect! I think that Zander was such a sweet male lead, he had so many different sides to him, but I like that he wasn't as overbearing as some of the other male shifters have been, instead he was just supportive, and caring it was actually refreshing, he kinda reminded me of Dante in that way, where he cared but it wasn't obsessive. And then there is Gwen, who is the most perfect human for any shifter, because everywhere Gwen goes trouble follows and Gwen doesn't run from trouble even a little bit. She aims to shoot straight in the heart every time, and I have to say that is most refreshing.

This book has everything you could want in a shifter book - epic fights, crazy hot sex, family rivalry, racists (speciesist?) just everything, and then some .

Can't wait for Braken's book.

Gwen Miller is human and she is standing up for a shifter that was beaten. Zander is one of the Mercury pack members who is staying at the B&B that Gwen works and lives at.
There is a lot going on in this story, Gwen is being threatened, Zander is dealing with his brother, who just happens to be all kinds of crazy and then you have the mating thing going on.
I enjoyed reading Zander and Gwen's story and them getting to the HEA.

Perfect, crazy and sensual all rolled into a perfect novel! Loved it from the start!’

This book has mates that do not know it, old friends, pack mates, enemies, danger, fighting, and love.
A strong capable female, a brooding, Alpha male, and strong chemistry lead to an interestingly new kind of mating.I enjoyed seeing a different kind of mating in this one. Both of these individuals have some issues with being hurt in the past, which causes them to be weary of one another, but the pull towards one another, finally leads to them having a happy ending. Though, you did have me worried there for a while Ms. Wright! His wolf had some interesting behavior. I found myself laughing and trying to reason it out. The chemistry these two had lead to some hot and steamy sex scenes. Though it was a good story, I did not get the same vibe with this couple and story as I have with the others. At the end of this book, I am left with some questions. I enjoyed this book. Another good one! I cannot wait for the others in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
