Station Seventeen is getting hot again with the newest rookie working temporarily on the ambulance. Luke Slater is filling in with Quinn Copeland and things are heating up especially after they take a call and are kidnapped at gunpoint and then keep quiet about it for a couple days. Luke has been the quiet one around the station since he started but there has been something brewing between him and Quinn. The sly looks and the chemistry finally win out when comfort is needed to start healing and BAM it turns into so much more. Gang threats, bombs in the station, and a fire at Three Brothers Pizza won't slow these two down when it comes to falling in love. I definitely recommend this one and this entire series. It is well written with exceptional characters!

This could be read as a standalone but Why Oh Why would you want to when there are ones before this.

Station Seventeen is not only filled with hot and sexy firefighters and paramedics, it's also full of danger, suspense and damn good storytelling! As with each of the other two books in the series, In Too Deep can be read as a stand alone. But if this is the first one for you, I'm pretty sure you'll go back and read the others.
Luke is the rookie EMT and firefighter, very much a loner and tight lipped, but a team player and hard worker. He's thrust into a partnership with Quinn when her partner is side-lined with an injury. Each is very aware of the other, but determined to keep it professional, and in Luke's case, keep even the most basic personal information close to the vest. But a dangerous and frightening first call opens up an entirely different chapter between these two.
Throw in an "Ice" cold bad guy, the strong and sassy ladies in Luke's life (oh,how I love Momma Billie and Hayley) and Quinn's firehouse family (great, in depth characters, one and all) and In Too Deep is another wonderfully rich feather in the cap of Kimberly Kincaid. I can't wait to see who's story is next!

Paramedic Quinn Copeland thinks of her station mates as family, but working alongside Station Seventeen rookie, Luke Slater, is different. For one, she doesn't think of him as a brother; and when they find themselves in the crosshairs of a brutal gang leader, she finds herself trusting Luke more than anything. So, with lives on the line and impossible choices to make, will Quinn do the right thing for everyone so she and Luke can have a chance at happy ever after; or will their fears of losing everything and everyone important to them put their shot at forever in jeopardy?

What a superbly-crafted, spine-tingling, fast-paced read Ms. Kincaid has delivered in this third book of her Station Seventeen series, which combines painful pasts being exposed; putting one's trust in the right person; and the importance of family together to make this a story that I could not put down. The way this story started drew me into this story immediately, as Luke works hard to be the best firefighter he can be, but isn't afraid to tease his fellow station mates a little, as long as he doesn't let them get too close in terms of learning more about him than everyone already does. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine began working together that this story really comes alive, as Luke and Quinn were in for a wild ride when it comes to trusting each other and keeping everyone they care about safe. Will everything work out? Will they be able to keep those they love and care about safe?

As for the dialogue, it was completely captivating and intense due to the main characters back stories and the incidents that put the hero and heroine on notice to not cross a gang leader. The dialogue also had me reading quickly, determined to discover how far Quinn and Luke are willing to go to keep everyone safe? Will they handle things themselves or will they put their trust in their friends? Furthermore, the heroine is resilient, brave and I liked how protective she was of her friends, because they're the only family she has. I also liked how hard-working she was and how she handled everything she and Luke go through, no matter how terrifying things get. While the hero, he's had it tough through the years with losing those he loves and I could understand why he fears interacting with his station mates more than he already does. Because getting to know them as tight as Quinn does means risk if something happens to one of them. However, in saying that, I loved that he let the heroine in and how protective he was of her, especially in the moments when it was palpable that Quinn wasn't coping with what happened to her at the hands of a dangerous gang leader.

Overall, Ms. Kincaid delivers another thrilling romantic suspense in this book where the chemistry between this couple was powerful; the romance exhilarating and illustrated how much Luke needed Quinn in his life; and the ending had me concerned for one of the main characters when it comes to the danger and their need to do everything in their power to protect those they care about. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up wonderfully, because of how things turned out for the hero and heroine, as the pair working together was the best thing to happen to the two of them; and because of what becomes of their partnership as paramedics. I would recommend In Too Deep by Kimberly Kincaid, if you enjoy romantic suspense, the friends to lovers trope, or books by authors Scarlett Cole, Jennifer Bernard, Kaylea Cross and Sandra Owens.

An awesome addition to Station Seventeen. In this story we meet Luke, rookie firefighter fills in on the ambulance. His partner is Quinn, a kick butt paramedic who is also very sexy. They run some awesome calls including a call with a gang leader, Ice. Ice, soon threatens their lives. I must say he is just evil!!

Kimberly Kincaid delivers a story that has plenty of romance, intrigue and plenty of suspense that will keep you turning the pages. She shows the true brotherhood of the fire department. Great chemistry and romance between Luke and Quinn, their relationship brought them both out their shells.

I highly recommend this book, along with the rest of the Station Seventeen stories. Can be read as a stand alone.

In Too Deep is the third book in Kimberly Kincaid’s Station Seventeen series. This series has everything you could possibly want in a romantic suspense book, sexy firefighters, suspense and hot romance.

Luke Slater is a rookie firefighter who is also being trained as a paramedic. He is intently serious about this training even while doing his duties as a firefighter. Quinn Copeland is the paramedic who has been helping him. Even though they are both attracted to each other, neither one makes a move. I loved their chemistry together.

When Quinn’s regular partner is injured, Luke is given the chance to fill in for him while he is healing. On their first solo trip out as partners, they are met by an armed gang member with an injured brother. They are forced at gunpoint to a secret location to try and save him. The tension and fear they encounter was so realistic. While both are equally terrified, they fall back on their paramedic training and try to save the brother. Once they are released, they are threatened and told to tell no one. Now they are dealing with threats, both real and imagined. In this book, Ms. Kincaid has really amped up the suspense. The villain in this book was coldly evil.

Once Luke and Quinn acknowledge their mutual attraction, they let their walls down and allow the romance to bloom. I thoroughly enjoyed their journey. The romance was hot, the action was extremely tense. And I enjoyed the other Station Seventeen cameos, especially Shea, my favorite.

This is a fantastic addition to the Station Seventeen series. I highly recommend this series and eagerly look forward to the next book.

Smoking hot and suspenseful read

Veteran Paramedic Quinn and rookie firefighter Luke are go on a call that isn't what it seems and puts everyone in danger. Moving at an incredibly fast pace, keeping me on the edge and written in multiple POV including from the bad guy made this easy to fallow and easily one of my favorites in the series. Each story is a standalone but it’ll make sure we get visits from the previous two books. I really enjoyed the personalities and personal back stories of Quinn and Luke. The one thing I’ll say to any potential reader is that even though these two people have chemistry in the entire book the author doesn’t forget to show the importance of a well written book from page one all the way to the end.

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, suspenseful, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks you Netgally for letting me read and review.

3.75 Hearts I really enjoy this series. I mean seriously who doesn’t love a hot firefighter? But Kincaid also throws in a bit of suspense.

Quinn and Luke have had a bit of a relationship but all platonic except they really do seem to like each other. And once they are on a call together more than sparks fly.

I like the story. The best part was the suspense but the romance was ok too. I never really connected with the characters but that doesn’t make it any less enjoyable.

Looking for a suspenseful romantic read with firemen, cops, and paramedics? Grab this one about Station Seventeen from Remington as Quinn and Luke are in a fight for their lives. Paramedics are called out on calls many times in one shift, not always with the PD or the FD. Veteran Quinn and rookie Luke are on a call that isn't what it seems and puts everyone in danger. Moving at a fast pace, keeping me on the edge and getting POV from the bad guy made this one of my favorites in the series. Each story is independent but it's fun to visit with familiar characters. I really enjoyed the personalities and personal back stories of Quinn and Luke. Looking forward to the next firefighter to be taken down by love. I received an early copy from Netgalley, my review written voluntarily.

tation 17 will never be the same.
In this thrill a minute suspense story Kimberly Kincaid shakes up a whole lot more than just shift schedules. When her usual partner suffers an on-the-job injury, Quinn Copeland ends up paired with the rookie she's been lusting after ever since he arrived at the Firehouse. When their first solo call goes drastically wrong, their lives and those of everybody they love will hang in the balance.
In Too Deep alternates between steamy hot romance and ice cold terror, all at a mile a minute pace that will keep you guessing until the very last page.
I loved Quinn and Slater. Their sweet and steamy relationship is a roller coaster ride. The Station 17 crew provides a strong supporting cast and Momma Billie and the brave, quirky teenage Hayley are well developed and totally endearing. Pitted against the warmth and love of the Station 17 family is a villain who is ice cold, self-centred, completely focused and totally, irredeemably evil - a man you will love to hate.
Kincaid's stories never fail to delight and entertain. In Too Deep can proudly take its place along with the rest and I can't wait to find out comes next.

This is Book 3 in the Station Seventeen Series, it can be read as a stand alone, but the stories and characters in Book 1 & 2 are sexy and exciting and it would be a shame not to read them.

Luke Slater is a rookie firefighter who has completed his EMT training as well. He has a promising future and he loves being a firefighter. As always the friendships, good natured bantering and camaraderie are fun to read.
Luke is a pretty quiet guy, but all the other firefighters think he is a good match for Station Seventeen. Luke has hope of becoming a paramedic and riding the ambulance someday, meanwhile enjoying his time studying and training.

Quinn Copeland and Carter Drake are partners and work the ambulance. They have been together for five years and work together seamlessly. After a serious injury to his hand due to faulty wimped , Carter is out for a few weeks to heal. Much to Quinn’s surprise, Luke is assigned to drive with her while Carter is on leave. A thrill for him, but Quinn realizes it’s going to be tough to keep her attraction to him to herself. Little does she know that Luke is fighting the same battle. After an ambulance call goes terribly wrong, they are together to keep a dangerous secret that could endanger lives, and try to keep each other safe. The attraction heats up.

The suspense is thrilling and the heat between them blazes.
It’s great to see all the great characters in previous novels and see what they’re up to. In Too Deep is a very exciting read.

I received this ARC from the publisher and Netgalley for review.

I just love the crew of Station Seventeen. Quinn & Luke are great characters and their chemistry sizzles off the pages. This well written story with its fabulous character interaction and banter had me from the first page, breathing in every word and feeling like I was home. Well Done Ms Kincaid I look forward to reading more and will definitely be recommending this to readers

The author Kimberly Kincaid has written a surprising good romantic suspense story that will have romance readers loving the steamy love scenes and action suspense readers will love the non stop action. Each reader will be wanting more by the time they finish the book.

The characters are flawed which can making them difficult to like but they are real.

Kimberly Kincaid did her research having readers feel as if they are learning about being a paramedic without being boring. In a field of Emergency personal the PTSD is a given. As Quinn refuses to admit she is struggle can become annoying and very real because no one wants to admit they have PTSD.

With all romantic suspense novel I know everyone eyes color, eye brow colors and how beautiful they are. It was a bit much.
I saw the "twist come as a reader but kept on reading.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy.

Wow this was a 5-Alarm read all the way through!
I love this series by Kimberly Kincaid and this book in particular has everything you could possible want in what I would call a hybrid of contemporary romance and romantic suspense!!
Between the sexual charged energy between Luke and Quinn, to the nail biting edge of your seat suspense in the terrifying events that occur in this book it was positively amazing!
I can't say enough about this fantastic storyline that kept me up extremely late because I just simply could not put it down. The smokin' hot sexy times between Luke and Quinn were enough to set my Kindle on fire. I guess if that happened the sexy men from Seventeen would have to come rescue me!
I love Shae, she rocks! All the other secondary characters in this story are just so well written, you can't help but want to know more about them.
Quinn and Luke are simply perfect together. They fought their attraction at first but there was no stopping that fire from burning so hot! They make such excellent partners both on and off the ambo. Luke gives Quinn strength and courage to face her fears after the extremely scary call they go on together. He is there for her and tries to help her deal with her obvious PTSD which she is not willing to admit to at first. She is forced to see a doc for help and eventually opens herself up to that process and finally gets the help she needs. I like Dallas or should I say Dr. McHot. Can he get his own book?
Quinn gives Luke the strength to deal with what happened to them but to finally open up and share his demons from his past with her. By doing so he is finally able to open himself up to having friends too after not really allowing himself to be close to anyone but is sister and grandma for so many years.
I hope there are plenty more books coming out of this firehouse because I am just loving these characters so much and want to get to know them better. The extraordinary comradery and bravery
these men and women show just in this book alone is incredible.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

5 OMG STARS!! Oh my goodness, I was on the edge of my seat and feeling every emotion possible. This story was so well written with sexiness, suspense, mystery and the best characters ever. I love going back to station seventeen and Quinn and Luke's story was perfect. Kimberly Kincaid is one of my favorite authors, she always writes flawless stories that keep you flipping pages. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Hot and exciting. Kimberly Kincaid’s latest novel has a great balance between all the feels. There’s slow burn sexiness, wonderful banter and camaraderie, and a whole lot of heart stopping drama. I was biting my nails one moment, smiling and fanning myself then next. In Too Deep was a hard book to put down as I kept turning pages with its fast paced, gripping plot.

Luke Slater has spent the last ten years taking care of his sister and grandmother while building armor around himself to keep everyone else at arm’s length. Keeping his distance from his fire engine mates had not been a difficult task. Asking him to partner up with Quinn Copeland on ambulance duty is an entirely different monster. Not only because she’s the sexiest woman he’s ever laid eyes on, but because when their first shift goes FUBAR at the hands of a vicious gang leader, his need to comfort and protect surface with vengeance.

For the past five years, paramedic Quinn Copeland has had the honor and pleasure of calling the men of women of Station Seventeen her family. Except the incredibly attractive but closed off fire fighter and EMT trainee Luke Slater, who she’d never see as a brother because the attraction she feels towards him is undeniable. He’s also the only person who’s able to calm her paralyzing fear after facing a pitiless murderer together. Will they be able to get over their fear and outmaneuver this threat?

Kimberly Kincaid has succeeded in delivering another thrilling romance. Even though the romance is a slow burn, the action begins right from the start and doesn’t let down until the very end which was magnified by including the villain’s point of view. It was as scary as it was brilliant!

But let’s talk about the romance. Quinn and Luke were perfect for each other, they’re both first responders but have polar opposite personalities. She’s outgoing and is friends with everyone. He’s quiet likes to keep to himself, so it was such a pleasure to see how their budding relationship develops into one of openness, trust and ultimately love which was deeply rooted by the extenuating circumstances they faced. The moment when Luke’s walls completely crumble when Quinn finally voices her fear is absolutely moving. Add to that the amazing chemistry between them that only made it made it better.

Kincaid and Station Seventeen fans like myself will also enjoy having the entire gang back along with the Intelligence Unit. I can’t wait to see who is up next!

In Too Deep is book #3 in the Station Seventeen series by Kimberly Kincaid. It is a standalone any romantic suspense lover will enjoy. Told from various points of view with a happy ending.

This book has both a LOT of cursing (including many f-bombs) and on-screen sex. (slight minor spoilers to end of paragraph) There is a moment of vaguely described rough non-con by the Big Bad which doesn't last but could make some readers uncomfortable. There is also “backdoor” play, but no actual penetration. If cursing, certain sex acts, or sex in general will cause you to leave a bad review, you should skip this one.

If you're a fan of Ms. Kincaid's contemporary romance novels, be aware that this one is much much grittier than those books. If you're looking for light and fluffy romance, this is not that, but it is a really well written mystery/suspense book with a romantic theme. The way that Ms. Kincaid balanced the bad things that happen with lighter, or less-heavy moments – usually between Luke and Quinn but sometimes between them and their various loved ones – was really great. The mystery element was really well written and intriguing, but the theme of family bonds was beautiful and made this book really great.

If you enjoy a gritty romantic suspense with two really likable main characters who are like , you should give this one a read. While this isn't my usual genre of preference, I am very glad that I read this story and got to know Quinn and Luke.

I requested and was generously granted an ARC of this book via NetGalley and the publisher. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because I enjoyed the story.

Kimberly Kincaid’s Station Seventeen isn’t just a bunch of firefighting men who go out to battle the blazes, although the mention of bunker gear, sexy times involving dirty firemen and fire-heroics is probably enough for many readers. But Kincaid serves up a hefty dose of good ol’ romantic suspense where characters from law enforcement and emergency responders mingle and rally around each other to get the plot going. Not only is this right up my smelly, cat-littered alley, but I love it when a story surprises me…the good way.

‘In Too Deep’ just had one of those great combinations that did it for me: a solid, believable suspense plot, likeable protagonists who don’t cross TSTL lines and sufficient twists and turns that just ramp up the tension. It was thoroughly addictive as a result and I hadn’t expected to like Luke Slater and Quinn Copeland as much as I did along with the interaction of the secondary characters that helped pad out the narrative and shape both Luke’s and Quinn’s contrasting characters. Kincaid’s handling of these interactions was top-notch and it was balanced quite nicely with the unfolding drama that got more intense and riveting as the pages went on.

While I appreciated Kincaid not making light at all about the younger man (rookie) and the slightly older woman (an experienced paramedic), what impressed me most was the way Kincaid tried to level the characters by giving Luke the bigger, calmer voice of reason and Quinn, a character who in turn, didn’t use her age or professional experience to belittle him. I liked their similar backgrounds, their latent attraction and chemistry, which was why the short rift and the easy resolution between them at the end felt forced and written for the sake of creating conflict, when there was already plenty enough to go around.

Overall though, ‘In Too Deep’ exceeded my expectations once it was established that the plot wasn’t going to revolve around a decision that could have made Quinn look like a TSTL heroine. The book was absorbing enough that I didn’t want to put it down, which made me impatient by the end for what Kincaid already has up her sleeve for the next book in this series.
