This was my first Kris Calvert book and it sure didn't disappoint! Jane Doe was full of mystery, suspense, thrills and just enough romance! I had no idea what to expect diving into this book. Jane Doe (Scarlett) is one tough cookie and my kind of lead character. She's been through a lot but it was relatable and really drew me in. I will definitely be counting down the days to book two...Jane Doe (Alice)!!

What a great INTRIGUING read.!
I didn't know what to expect because if you've read anything from Kris Calvert before this is different, a GOOD different.
Jane has had a difficult upbringing. She has no past hence JANE DOE. Jane has assignments as an assassin. Choices need to be made whether to follow ones heart or go by the book.
Intriguing and Compelling Read.

Gripping and suspenseful, Jane Doe: Scarlett pulled me in from the very beginning. If you're looking for a love story with some action thrown in, this isn't your book. In fact, it was the opposite. Tension, mystery, danger, and action all take the lead in this story. The romantic aspect was minor but was interesting and added another dimension to the story that I quite enjoyed.
Jane was an intriguing character. Complex, yet, a bit of an enigma. She was capable and strong. I struggled a bit with Matt's character. For such an intelligent person, he made some pretty stupid decisions. The annoyance I felt for him was mostly made up for by his charisma and charm. I genuinely liked Matt despite my frustrations.
I love books about assassins, and a female assassin was exciting to read about. Fast-paced and straightforward, it was easy to get caught up in Jane's story. Perhaps, someday, she'll accomplish what she's been waiting for and she'll find peace. In the meantime, I'm eager to read more about Jane and her missions.

This was my first Kris Calvert book and it definitely won't be my last. I don't usually read a book just because of it's cover and blurb but when I first saw both I knew I had to read this book and I wasn't disappointed. It had me engrossed from beginning to end with all it's twists and turns. The mystery aspect of this book was amazing. Unique, intriguing, powerful and intelligent I will watching eagerly for the next book.
4. 5 Stars.

Absolutely amazing! It kept me hooked from the beginning and immediately I became invested in the story! I liked how anon Jane Doe actually was and I liked how the author fed us information regarding her and how it was introduced. I will be reading the other books in the series. Amazing, gripping and brilliant writing!

How have I not read Kris Calvert before?

Jane Doe: Scarlett is a captivating read. The blurb had me thinking one way and it turned out to be so much more. I was immediately a fan of Jane (Scarlett)--she'd literally been through hell most of her life, but was one of the strongest women I'd read about in a long time. She was on top of her game and always was one step ahead.

I loved the twists and turns, and was quite shocked at some of the things that happened. Who thinks of this kind of stuff!

This is just a phenomenal story and I can't wait to dive into the other two books that accompany Jane Doe: Scarlett. The writing is superb and Calvert should be commended on her brilliant storytelling.

Man, oh man, what a thrilling ride! My first ever Kris Calvert book was completely amazing! I went into this book not knowing a single thing but I came away with another favorite author. I knew when I saw the cover of this book that I wanted to read it. The words inside the cover though was way more than I expected. I’m intrigued enough with this author that I am going to peruse her backlog.

Jane Doe was a completely mystery with twists and turns that completely snuck up on me. Scarlet was an amazing character! Her childhood was so heartbreaking. I loved how strong she grew to be. Her specific skills made her a sought after person. She was so very strong, so very smart. I love a strong character like this. Plus the storyline Calvert created for us was so suspenseful and so full of angst.

I just can’t recommend this book enough! Scarlet is completely bad ass! You won’t be able to put this book down. I can’t wait for the other two books in this series. I plan on completely devouring this trilogy this weekend. If you are looking for a story with mystery and intrigue, suspense and heart, well this is the book for you! It will consume you through the very last page and make you wish for me! Prepare your booty because you’re gonna be sitting on the edge of your seat the whole time!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

What a thrill ride! Jane is a powerful character, intelligent, strong and instinctual. I started this book without a clue, except it was written by Calvert and knew it would be good. From start to finish it took three hours and I was on the edge the entire time. It's a bit military, a bit assassin, and a bit genius. My books have felt a bit stagnant lately but this brought the buzz and heart of a thrilling and unique storyline. Definitely looking forward to more of this series. I was thrilled to receive an early copy, I have written my review voluntarily and without bias.

Wow! Just wow! Kris Calvert has outdone herself with Jane Doe: Scarlett. Engaging characters and a compelling storyline that kept me turning the pages. Scarlett had a hard life growing up, but she’s moved passed it. And she never looks back. Throughout we get to see glimpses of what made Scarlett into the bad ass she is today. I’m hooked and want more!

Well Jane Doe was full of mystery and twists and turns and nothing what I thought it was going to be kind of read. I rarely read synopsis of books, I like picking up books based on friends raving on them, book covers and teasers...and this book had all three!!! I could not wait to get my hands on it, and let me tell you, I was sucked in trying to figure out what the heck was going on and really enjoyed reading about Scarlett.

Scarlet was found in a dumpster as a newborn, she had such a sad life while growing up. She had no family and was tossed from home to home. When she graduated high school, she decided to join the US Marine Corps. This is where she was sought out for her spectacular sharp shooting skills. This is where you really get to see how bad ass Scarlett is. lol This girl was like GI Jane and MacGyver all wrapped up into one. She was soo bad ass!!! Yes I know I am repeating myself..lol

"Her mission was to kill a known terrorist and soldier of the caliphate. Number Thirteen."

Holy cow, sometimes I didn't know who was hunting who in this book...lol Sooo much action.

I gave this book 4.5 iScream Books Stars. This was my first book by Kris Calvert and I will definitely love to read more from her in the future. Her writing style kept me turning those pages dying to know what was going to happen next.
