Man Candy by Jessica Lemmon is book Three in the "Real Love" series. This is the story of Dax Vaughn and Becca Stone. I have read the previous books, but feel this can be a standalone book if you choose to do so.
Dax has plans to go off on his own for a few weeks to just take a break from the lost of his father and the stress that it played on the family. But what he ends up doing is finding something so much more. Becca ends up in Dax's path when she publicly gets fired by her brother and then later again when a story comes through. They start off looking for one night together, but after being thrown together again they end up finding more like a lifetime together.
Really have enjoyed this series!

Loved this one. Sexy, fun, lighthearted. This one doesn't pile on the angst. Just one guy looking for a little time to decompress and one woman trying to do her best and figure out her life. Sometimes though a girl just needs to have a little fun and who better to have fun with than a short timer who will be outta here in two weeks. What was suppose to be one night turns into a passionate weekend thanks to a crazy storm then the weekend turns into two fun filled weeks. That should have been the end of it but sometimes plans don't work out quite like they are suppose to.

I highly recommend this one.

I enjoy Jessica Lemmon's books. She has a knack for writing relationships and scenarios that are believable and have you invested in them from start to finish. Man Candy is a great example of that. It's hot, steamy and was fun to read.

I got Becca right from the start. I liked her. She was fun and someone I could see myself hanging out with and someone I would support and go to bat for. I loved her reaction to Dax, that immediate pull. I was rooting for her throughout the book.

Dax wasn't someone new to me as I've read the other books in this series. However, if you haven't read Jessica Lemmon before (why haven't you??) this is a great book to start with. What I loved most about Dax was how he pushed Becca and his confidence in her. It was really a side to him I didn't fully expect.

These two have sparks flying from the start. It was fun to watch how they progressed together. The sex was hot and steamy, but there was more to them and they certainly weren't expecting that from each other. I loved the growth of their relationship-and the ending was sweet.

Jessica Lemmon's writing just flows. The pacing works and the story is spun so that it seems new and fresh. I believed how this story played out. Again, this is the third book in this series bu tit can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone. I read this book in one sitting simply because I didn't want to put it down. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

Man Candy was HOT! Dax thinks that he is going to get 2 uninterrupted weeks along camping & fishing. Becca unexpectedly gets fired from her brother & gets caught in a downpour where the road gets washed out. Who does Becca run into? Yes, Dax. What follows is fun & hot. Two weeks alone with each other & sparks fly! Jessica Lemmon wrote a great story that had my hooked from the start.

Dax Vaughn wants a break...some time to himself and he has found the perfect place in the mountains of Tennessee. However, the same doesn't apply to the weather when heavy rain makes his perfect retreat inaccessible. Luckily, there's a solution he accepts, but the unexpected company he acquires along the way is a distraction he didn't know he needed until she left.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained...Becca Stone sees a hot guy in the bar where she works and he's too irresistible to ignore. When extreme weather means she can't get home, the only alternative is to knock on the cabin door of the Magic Mike lookalike and hope he'll share his accommodation. A no-strings fling is what they're both looking for, but will Becca finally realise that she doesn't need to run away any-more as she develops feelings for her camping companion?

The protagonists are very real in their approach to everyday life and their expectations. This made them very identifiable and realistic as they react to each other's desires and wishes, respecting the here and now and not expecting too much thereafter. This was where Dax's personality shone because he gave Becca space to sort herself out. He also used his wisdom and maturity to see through Becca's brother's issues too which helped to smooth out rough patches for them all. Especially when the brother wasn't a particularly nice character. Thankfully, other secondary characters were more likeable and added to the light-hearted comedy narrative.

The sexy times are steamy and the dialogue littered with the author's signature wit. The cameo appearances by the couples from Eye Candy and Arm Candy makes for a tidy and successful end to the Real Love series.

Overall a good solid read I heartily enjoyed. As I've come to expect from Ms Lemmon, the dialogue between characters, specifically the protagonists are highly amusing. I've read a handful of the author's books before and she is a go-to favourite. When I pick up one of her novels, I know It'll be entertaining and Man Candy is no exception.

Becca isn't really happy with her life. She's moved from place to place trying to find where she fits. Wanting to be closer to family, she went to stay with her brother and his family. She's working at her brother's resort-which she likes, but feels hemmed in by his controlling ways. He treats her like a kid, she feels under appreciated, and he doesn't really take her seriously. Unfortunately, she doesn't have any real itch to leave, and needs the money, so she puts up with him.

Dax comes to the resort to unwind after losing his father. Getting his mom situated took longer than anticipated, and now he needs some quiet time to himself. After meeting Becca in the bar, sparks fly. A one night stand ensues.

Then a massive storm settles in over the area keeping Becca and Dax stranded at the resort. They are forced to ride it out together. What to do, What to do?? They decide seconds are in order!

Even though I know the trope, I still love it! This book was fun! Becca and Dax seemed destined for each other. They really seemed to connect and just "get" the other. Of course it's never quite smooth sailing, and both have issues that needed to be worked through.

I loved how open they were with each other, and even though they tried to keep things casual, both wanted more! Their relationship was believable and their hang-ups were ones that anyone could relate to. The book was totally sweet and definitely worth reading!

I really enjoyed this book. Dax takes off for a trip, a real roughing it, camping, fishing in the mountains of Tennessee but when he arrives it's pouring rain and the drive to his isolated cabin is impassable so he's spending time in the resort's bar before heading to his closer cabin. Becca is like a fluttering butterfly, moving around, never settling for long, trying out many different jobs not really finding her niche. She's currently living with her brother and his family and working at his resort, or trying too since older brother finds it hard to let go of control. Dax noticed Becca when she swept into the resort's bar, and liked her sassiness, but when a one night stand turns into more than just a vacation fling...I loved the chemistry between Dax and Becca, especially how Dax really sees Becca.

Man Candy by Jessica Lemmon is a fun, sweet, romantic and entertaining read and I loved it.

The storyline is well written, the plot easy to follow and the characters are likable, endearing and easily relatable.
From the first page I fell in love with Becca. I loved her sass, I loved her quick wit and I loved her humor. I found myself connecting with her character and loved being in her head.
Dax and Becca made me laugh, they made me swoon and they made me shed a tear. They might have started out just wanting one night of fun but when that turns into two weeks of total bliss how do you say goodbye and go back to normal life?

Jessica Lemmon is one of my go to authors, I love her writing style and I love how she writes with her heart. Once again she's given her readers a beautiful, heartwarming romance that will bring out the feels and leave you with a heart full of love.

There was so much to love about this book! Dax and Becca are two of the greatest characters I have read in a long time. I laughed and swooned, couldn’t read this book fast enough. All of these books by Jessica Lemmon have been amazing! If you are new to her go ahead and pick them up, you won’t be sorry!

This was an enjoyable story. That drew me in from the start and really held my attention throughout.
As both main characters Dax and Becca were likable, and had enough chemistry to make the hot moments work. Plus this story was extremely easy to read, relatively angst free and had enough about it to keep me entertained. And of the three Real Love stories Man Candy is definitely my favourite. Which is why I would happily recommend it to others.

Some of Jessica Lemmon’s books that I have read are full of angst, Man Candy is full of fun! Lost girl story, maybe, but one of lost confidence more. While one-night hook-ups are not my favorite story-line, from the beginning Dax and Becca seem to have more going for their relationship. Of course, I knew going in that accidental meeting leading to a causal relationship was part of the standard for this series. However, the causal works it way into lasting as the characters learn to trust each other and themselves.

The story is easy, breezy with Dax finding the peace if not quiet that he needs. Becca finds someone who appreciates her for who she is, not for what they want her to become. There is a switch from the usual romance is who has commitment phobia, which makes the story an interesting read. Dax was a minor character in another book in the series, but this reads well as a stand-alone. In fact, Dax and Becca are my favorite characters so far.

read this one 2 times, must say the first time I did not finish.
Becca was to annoying to childish and for me,sister or not I would
have fired her much sooner.
Dax saved the day,who would not have this man in her corner.
I liked the story, but not as much as the other books in this serie.
It is a fast paced, funny friends to lovers story with a nice H.e.a.
A good read on a cold winterweekend.

“You’re worth it, Princess. Hasn’t anyone told you that before?”

As I was with the first two books in Jessica Lemmon’s Real Love series, I was quickly and thoroughly hooked by Man Candy. Let’s just get that out of the way, shall we? It was a fun, sexy book; light-hearted and feel good and immensely enjoyable.

It was also a little bit unexpected. You see, since I so loved Eye Candy and Arm Candy, I never got around to reading the blurb for this third installment. I knew it was Dax, and that was all I needed to know. He was nothing like I expected and yet everything I wanted and appreciated and swooned for. Simply put, this charming, straightforward, hot as hell Alpha man was PERFECT. Yes. He. Was.

In fact, this whole book was something close to perfect. I had minor issues, at times, but they were just that—minor. A friendship forgotten, a leopard that changed their spots rather swiftly. But the flip side of that is a story that’s joyful. Wholly and completely enjoyable.

And the perfect set up for a spin-off for Barrett, which I’m already ready for . . . no blurb needed.

Love.
Inconvenient. Awful. Incredible. Painful.
I was right about him. He’s truly second to none.

I enjoyed this book. It was cute, funny, and a fast read. It is written in alternating viewpoints of the two main characters, and at times, they were talking to us as the audience. This has been the case in the majority of the romance novels I have read lately, and I haven't decided yet whether or not I like this format.

Man Candy by Jessica Lemmon is another winner. It doesn’t seem possible that all that happened between Dax & Becca was in two weeks time. The attraction was instantaneous & with the very descriptive writing of Jessica Lemmon we are treated to a steamy, sexy, strong interaction between them. We see the build up of feelings neither expects & the defeat when neither verbalizes the feelings they both have. We feel the pain of loss when it’s over & find ourselves wanting to reach out & shake each of them to make them change their minds. I enjoy reading Jessica Lemmon because she always takes us on a great ride with her stories & leaves us feeling sated when she’s done. Definitely recommend.

This was awesome! I was very happy with the way things turned out. I loved the hero so much and I was ecstatic to finally read his book. It was so worth the wait! I couldn't be happier with how this came out.

If you've been following the Real Love series your in for a real treat with this book. If you haven't been following the Real Love series guess what? You're still in for a real treat! Dax has appeared in the previous books but we really were not told much about him. Now he's on a vacation of sorts. He's been a grump so he decided he needed to be alone for a while. Soon as he gets where he's going things don't go right. Rain. Lots of it. This means he can't get to his remote cabin for all that peace and quiet. Fortunately he does get to witness hot spitfire Becca Stone get fired from the bar her brother owns. It's his lucky night. A one night stand with Becca turns into a two night and a three night.. Are you with me? Anyway.... I love Dax! I love when authors take a secondary character that we don't know much about and show us what a wonderful guy or girl they are. In this case Dax was kind of this static background and then he steps up and he's full of glorious colors screaming look at me! Dax and Becca are great together. They each have their separate issues but they battle their way through their doubts about themselves to be there for each other. I was so excited to see their HEA at the end because they deserved happiness so much. I wanted to clap and jump up and down reading the last bits of this book. The only thing i wish we could've had just a bit more was the couples from the previous books. There are three in the series so far and as I've read each one I thought it was my favorite. Dax is my favorite. I'm really hoping there's at least one more book in this series but we'll have to wait as see.

Man Candy is the third book in Jessica Lemmon's Real Love series and it features Grace from book 2's boss, Dax Vaughn.

Dax Vaughn owns two bars and is grieving the passing of his father and the only thing he wants right now is peace and quiet. After making sure his Mom was okay and leaving his best friend on his couch, Dax takes off for Tennessee for some outdoorsy along time. He had every intention of spending his days hiking and fishing and being one with nature until he meets Becca Stone.

Becca Stone works with her brother at the Grand Larks and Dax is in town, renting one of the cabins there and she likes what she sees when she walks into the bar and sees him enjoying a beer. She's drawn to him, knows that if she doesn't approach him, she'll regret it so with a pep in her step, she walks right up to him and her life is forever changed.

What was supposed to be a one night stand becomes much more than either of them were prepared for and I adored watching the two of them come together.

Dax was a lot more than I was expecting. We didn't get to see much of him in Arm Candy so I was picturing a, -- I don't know what I was picturing but whatever it was, it wasn't Dax. Dax was one of those swoonworthy heroes who is good to his Mom and knows what he wants. He was a man's man who wanted to be in an adult relationship. I loved how he took care of Becca, even when she disappointed him and I really loved how much faith he had in her abilities...even after only two weeks of sleeping together. I enjoyed getting to know him and finding him to be my favorite hero of the series.

Becca was a great heroine too, only there were times when I wanted to smack some sense into her because I felt like she took too long to come around. Dax really opened up to her and so she knew about his hangups with his ex-girlfriend, a story that he shared with nobody but Becca and when things get a little crazy, I wanted her to wise up and take a chance on Dax. I wanted her to not disappoint Dax but to not disappoint me and...she came up a little short. I also wanted to smack the shit out of her brother because he was a shitty brother to her. I didn't stay disappointed with Becca for long so I'm glad that she got her shit together.

The romance, the scenery and just, the whole story worked for me. I enjoyed Dax, I liked Becca and I really liked seeing them come together in love. This book was cute, funny and had a lot of heart so I definitely recommend.

Man Candy is the 3rd book in Jessica Lemmon’s Real Love Series, but can definitely be read as a standalone.

This series has been so much fun to read, and Man Candy is no exception! I loved it! The chemistry between Dax and Becca was smokin’ and it was fun to read about the progression of their one-night stand turn into more. Both of these characters weren’t looking for anything more than a good time and what neither of them expected was finding it hard to say goodbye.

Dax isn’t staying in town for longer than two weeks and Becca wants to try and keep things “light” between them. But those pesky feelings can’t help but get in the way. Now what will these two do? Say goodbye at the end of their time together or take a chance for something more?

Man Candy was a very sexy, hot, fun read that kept me turning the pages!

After helping his mother get things in order after the death of his father, Dax Vaughn is ready for some quiet, rest, and relaxation. He's rented a cabin at Grand Lark Retreat and he's ready to spend two weeks by himself, fishing, hiking, etc. What he didn't plan on was Becca Stone, sister to the owner of Grand Lark. But when they begin talking and sparks start flying, mother nature decides to step in and send a downpour decidedly ruining all of Dax's plans.

Becca Stone has returned home to Tennessee after another attempt to figure out what she wants to do with her life goes south. If she could just pin down that one thing that would make her happiest, she could put all her energy into making it happen. For now, however, she's working for her brother and living in his house with her sister-in-law and two nieces. Not exactly where she wants to be, but she's determined to make the best of it while she can.

What better way to make the best of things than by picking up a hot as sin stranger for a one night stand? The raging storm certainly provides the perfect excuse to stay inside, and Becca and Dax don't lack for chemistry between them that's for sure. But as it turns out, one night doesn't seem to suit either of them very well at all, although neither of them will be the first to admit to such a thing. As Becca and Dax continue to spend time together, their time spent is also invariably coming to a close that will see Dax return to Ohio and Becca return to figuring out life. Will either of them take the ultimate risk and ask for something more?

I felt like Man Candy read differently than previous books by Jessica Lemmon and I quite liked it. I love how unassuming the story was. At first I thought it was going to be the "one night stand" trope, but then it kept building upon itself. It changed into a "caught in a storm" trope, and then evolved from there. It perfectly fit everything about Dax and Becca's relationship from start to finish. They are a standout couple for me in the Lemmon-verse of books for sure. Dax being in a kind of stasis since the death of his father, and meeting Becca is like a wake-up call for him. Likewise, Becca wandering almost aimlessly trying to find her place in the world, and Dax comes along, a stranger looking at her from the outside, and sees all the potential that is missed by her family and friends. They each kind of open one another up to things they never really thought about before. But with all this self-discovery, of course, comes hesitancy and trepidation. You keep seeing them kind of dance around one another, circling around fully admitting to each other what they're feeling.

Something clever in the way Jessica Lemmon wrote Man Candy was the few times where the characters seemed to address the readers "breaking the fourth wall" as it were. I loved this tactic as I felt more invested within the story. Like I was being asked to be apart of things.

However, there were times where I wish we got a little more backstory in order to make that connection a little more solid. Such as with the loss of Dax's father. It's obviously, and rightly, a very difficult time for Dax at the start of the book, but readers were first introduced to Dax in the previous book Arm Candy, we see him at McGreevy's, the bar he owns. I wish some of the seeds of this story could have been planted back in that previous book. Just to add some more depth and understanding to where his character is coming from, and seeing how things eventually end up.

Likewise, with Becca, we see her as a charming young woman who has had trouble finding her place in the world. Where she wants to be. Dax mentions quite frequently about how he feels Becca short changes herself, and doesn't think as highly of herself as she should. Part of me kind of likes the idea of Becca just having insecurities for Becca's sake and not because they were imposed upon her by someone. But it's clearly stated that her brother gives her a hard time about her inability to stay in one place for too long. The followup of this insinuation felt like it petered out for me more than actually getting addressed in the manner it maybe could have.

Overall, those two minor quibbles are pretty much me just wishing there was more story because I feel like I literally flew through this book. It was a fast, sexy, and fun read, and I can't wait to, hopefully see glimpses, of Becca and Dax in Rumor Has It: A Real Love Novel. Now that book has some pretty interesting set-up going for it at the end of Man Candy. Luckily, we don't have too long to wait!
